OK need I remind you this was a performance at a Korean award show ceremony! This is not part of a BTS concert this is only an award show. Nobody could follow this not even the biggest K pop acts could follow this. This was around a 45-minute performance. I believe the biggest K pop group before BTS really blew up was between EXO, MONSTA X, for male groups and the girl groups would have to be black, pink, twice, red velvet. The male groups I mentioned especially EXO they did a song called lightsaber for Star Wars. There's a rumor of course Disney owns Lucas films and Star Wars and Marvel Studios and The Avengers guardians of the Galaxy well all the marvel superheroes with TV shows and movies still come out! There's a slight small rumor that Sony Japanese company owns Disney. I think I previously mentioned when big hit entertainment debut BTS in 2013 the entertainment company was nearly bankrupt. In 2021 big hit entertainment reorganized into HYBE labels corporation now owning 8 entertainment companies or music labels. They own 6 entertainment companies in Korea one in Japan and a music label in the United States not America the name of the country is United States. These are some of the artists under HYBE labels corporation. BTS Justin Bieber TXT Ariana Grande New Jeans Enghien, Demi Lovato, SEVENTEEN, the Weekend, stole the worst and groups in Korea, the country group Lady A in the US. in 2010 the five-year-old company big hit entertainment had a 5-member group, and they do what sign to the label and we're still going bankrupt. big hit started putting together BTS in 2010 when they signed the rapper Rap Monster now known as RM of BTS. BTS are basically the grandfather group in HYBE labels. they are seniors to their little brother group TXT the second group to succeed under big hit entertainment. TXT are seniors to En hyphen and SEVENTEEN. BTS and TXT are grandfathered in under big hit music which took over for big hit entertainment became HYBE labels corporation. Did you ever watch the newest update of the BTS documentary video the most beautiful life goes on a story of BTS by Rice Squad formerly the Asian Theory. This video shows the order and how each member of BTS were found auditioned and signed on to big hit entertainment. Then goals through an outline of their careers for the last nine years!

I am subscribing because of your reaction to THIS video. I loved your praise of BTS. I have been following them since 2017 when I saw them on the American Music Awards show. I haven't looked back since. This is the only group I am into now, I am a dedicated ARMY fan not a multifan like others who like other groups. BTS has so much content online you'll never get bored. They have variety shows you can watch that are hilarious, so never not enough BTS. I will only be here for BTS content, sorry!! Oh, and I'm 70 years young. Lol

I love the fact that you guys didn't care how long the video is and still gave your raw and honest opinions about BTS not just their singing, rapping and dancing skills as artists but also pointed out how they were being downplayed by the western music industry just because they were not born in America or Europe. The boys have gone through so much hate, racism, discrimination and xenophobia even up to these days that they are already huge and have accomplished much. They are all amazing . The rappers Suga , rm , jHope are the pillars to group. Promised by management in before the 7 crane together the forofo would not get in way if their rapping career. They wrote and produce and compose their own songs and for the younger ones the main singers to start writing too. Jhope actually wrote and produced a large portion of the hit songs . Jhope is apart of the dance group and he is the teacher they call them that not coaches , he is very respected in Korea as teacher and he taught and coached all BTS members to be the amazing dancers they are. They say this themselves. He is hands on even to the little things like sitting straight up in am interview lol they are all so freaken talented it is just a fact and they are truly the most amazing people alive !!!! They love their fans so much and appreciate them I have never seen anything like it . Jhope talks to his fans on Korean site . They all use too. He use to practice live infront of them too . They are amazing ! I love them so much I cry !!!

I know what you mean about Jimin's dance, but Contemporary dance is a form of ballet. I think it was "invented" by Martha Graham (who was, I think from New York Ballet before she set up her own company) and Ballet Rambert, and dancers are usually trained first in the disciplines of traditional ballet, but take further classes to condition their bodies to the needs of this style of dance which uses few of the traditional set poses and moves of traditional ballet and is much more interpretive, appearing instinctive, but, ahem, it's not. I have long loved Contemporary dance. My husband, a boy from a very working class background, with no pretentions to academic skills or "high culture", thought "ballet" was not for him ... until I took him to a performance by Ballet Rambert in Edinburgh. Complete conversion. I did the same thing with opera, too. People forget that when these works were made, they were not as POSH as we think they are now - they had to get bums on seats: they were entertainment, and needed to appeal to large numbers of people to get their money back.

People hate on them because they haven't taken the time to get to know who they are. Currently in America we keep talking about diversity and inclusion yet we don't walk the walk. Just because they look different than us shouldn't matter. Talent is talent. There was an American group that was upset because BTS won artist of the year at the AMA's. This group said there should be a separate category for K-pop artist of the year. You know what that means, the group is very well aware that they can't compete with BTS.

Well, aren't you all a delight! I love sharing people's reaction when they see BTS doing BTS for the first time, and sadly am frequently disappointed - too much fakery and dumb staring. I loved how you three were, watching this - I've seen it umpteen times and it never fails, even when I know exactly what will happen next. One small delight for me in this performance is the cutaway shots to other idols watching and sharing our surprise. And I loved your frank astonishment and honest frustration on BTS' behalf. You asked how anyone can hate on BTS, and I share your disbelief. There are some points that you might not yet know about. When BTS debuted they were supposed to fail. Most new groups that do not come from the (then) big 3 Kpop companies (SM, JYP and YG at the time) disband within 100 days (it's a Korean thang) due to lack of funds for promotion : they never get enough of an audience. There is evidence that when BTS managed to survive and then thrive the big 3 started to co-ordinate hate against them - journalists planted stories, they were not booked for TV shows, and other fan groups spread lies. It seems the big companies felt threatened - hard to believe, because at that point they would themselves say they were not very good - but they had something no one else had. The same tactics continue to this day and have been commented on in Korean media even now. Despite this, BTS has good relationships with other Idols, and many close friendships - and they had in fact made connections with their fans even before debut - other new groups now use the methods BTS pioneered (in the absence of media time) to gain an audience. In the west, I think most of the hate is based on willful ignorance, as well as a healthy fear that they can not be matched, plus of course a toxic level of racism. "We can't tell them apart" (get a pair of glasses - show me Suga's index finger and I'll identify him). "We can't understand what they are saying" - (well, no one could understand Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma when it was the world cup song, but it was still a massive hit ... everywhere). "They look like girls" ... well, what, are you BLIND?! Many many girls would not object at all if they looked like V 🤣🤣😂 - but forget what YOU think they look like - they ooze sex appeal and smoulder skills. AND since the largest numbers of their fans are mature women between 20 and ... well pick a number - over 90, we know what we are here for! It's all frankly rather pathetic. Yes, if you want to fully understand what BTS is, who they are and what they do, you have to PAY ATTENTION (FFS), do a bit of homework and - again Pay Attention, because you cannot afford to look away for a second because you'll miss something. They are notorious for planting secret messages in MVs and performances. But there are ample (AMPLE) free resources available to help you. And quite honestly a very small investment of time is well worth the effort, because their lyrics are pure poetry, their dance and choreography outstanding (though not in fact the most perfectly co-ordinated in Kpop) and the breadth and depth of their subject matter is unequalled. They always take risks with themselves to be open about their own struggles, and also challenge their country's traditional silence on many societal issues. This MAMA an Asian Award Show I. 2019 was basically called BTS Mini Concert. BTS was just one of the guest performers but they turned it into a BTS Mini Concert and has become a classic performance. Mind you they were all doing it live. Some haters was saying that BTS was doing lypsinc. I believe early in their career they tried doing lypsinc but they were not corfortable doing it. If I was the next performer after BTS I think I just cancel and not perform as the audience will be very busy talking about BTS. I suggest you better watch and react to BTS guest appearance on another Asian award show held in HongKong the MMA 2018. Another classic performance of BTS.

Jimin also includes some Marshal Arts moves in his dancing. This is an Award Show (MAMA) not a concert. Our award shows look sick compared to Korea's. During this performance, Sugar was in pain because of an already injured shoulder which he had surgery on later. A reason for a lot of the American music industry resentment towards BTS is BTS has refused to pay bribes and payola to get placed on radio playlists. The American music industry is one of the dirtiest music Industries in the world. That being said, there is also a lot of homegrown, everyday-man American xenophobia towards Asians, whether they are performers or not.
