this is one of the interviews where I realized how Jungkook has wisdom beyond his age. i am always amazed with his performances but im amazed with how he thought of things and just realized to have his own style at such a young age of 13 when he started. that is why your the golden maknae. thank you Max for this.

Although he listens to his hyungs well, but he has a mind of his own. He always figure things out his own way and is full of passion and determination, which is what drives him forward. I think he is someone with deep thoughts and dnt usually show it to public. Incredible young man! Jhope is awesome as always!! 💜

Jungkook has been an enigma to many. He can come across as silly, unfocused, attention span lacking and zoned out goof ball at times, but then you see him in settings like here, getting intensely introspective, sharp focused and precisely analytical when he talks about stuff that is close to his heart. Music is his burning passion and he has ton to say about that, with wisdom and intent that is rare to witness with other singers. He finds it more difficult to express his ideas and emotions but some of the best quotes and small nuggets of wisdom I have heard over years come from him personally - " I refuse to put a grade on my life", "Without pain and heartache you can´t appreciate success and happiness ", " I am the main character of my life ", " I would rather die than live without passion " ... I think that Jungkook communicate in a totally unique and his own way and I find him infinitely fascinating to watch. A true renaissance man one could say. He doesn´t engage in a BS talk, he doesn´t beat about the bush, he is not the one to premeditate his answers to score him some brownie points. I think he finds it quite difficult to chit chat just for the sake of chit chatting, the same as Suga does... when they open their mouth, there is a clear intent behind. I love this approach and love this personality trait because I am a direct opposite myself, talking way to much and at times wastefully :-) He is simply fascinating to me.

he is an enigma but at the same time an open book if that makes sense. i've been a jk biased army for a couple years now and i obviously know so much about him, i've watched tons of jk related content yet i feel like every year that passes i learn so many new things about him as a person, it's as if i'm rediscovering him. he's still the same in a way but now he's so unapologetically himself and so much more open to share his thoughts with us, this is especially noticeable in his recent vlives.

As a JK bias, this in-person interview is far and away my favourite of his. It’s such a great insight into his mindset on his artistry and singing. He has been BTS' main vocalist since he was 15, shouldering the responsibility of singing not only his parts but doing background vocals/chorus for a majority of bts’ songs. He’s given tips to other vocal line members since debut because he truly understood the use of his instrument and the aspect of stylistic singing in performances. His relationship with art in general has grown so much. His gcfs are wonderful masterpieces, especially the helinski & newark ones. His ITS paintings made Namjoon think of Bob Ross. His music is emotive and resonant. And you have to be a special kind of person to achieve all of this, in my opinion. Also if you want to read more of his thought process, his written interviews are excellent!! Weverse Magazine and Vogue Korea have very interesting talking points. Jk’s depth as an artist is significant and admirable.

When i first saw this interview, i was quite moved. Jk was so small when he debuted, and with so many responsibilities in his shoulders. In older interviews, he would usually say a lot of things rooted in insecurities and self-deprecation, with a sense of perfectionism that was harmful for him, but seeing him grow to be a man so sure of himself, that knows his worth, limits and possibilities, it truly makes me happy

Jeon Jungkook. I want to start by talking about your musicality in this sense, more specifically, your voice. You have the most healing, soothing, calming, and passionate voice I have heard in my life. You have such a breathy, gorgeous vocal tone that ignites every single word that you sing. It is one action to speak, but sometimes what you sing says more to us than what mere words could ever. Your voice is as gentle and comforting as a lullaby, but as powerful and soulful as a person’s spirit. You can bring tears to those who aren’t sensitive, and put a spring in the step of those who feel lifeless. You’re the only person who I know encompasses so much talent and possibility in one voice. You tell stories, give advice, and release pain just by singing for us. Just as your singing serves as an entire mind and body experience for the listener, your dancing is equally as imperative as a component for your exquisite performances. You have all of the skills and marks of a phenomenal dancer, but when you dance your body absorbs the music. Your body moves and becomes one with the rhythm, and watching you fall into the music to let yourself go makes us feel liberated. Whether it be contemporary, hip-hop, or any other style, your body naturally adapts to the atmosphere and every little morsel of composition. Only you have the blood in your veins that pumps through it the essence of dance; of which no amount of training or practice could be put in to acquire. Needless to say, you have reached new heights in the world as well as within yourself musically. You’ve quite clearly taken the globe by storm as you have emerged as one of the most iconic artists in this generation; and furthermore, in this world. You’ve revolutionized the sound and meaning of music; as well as performance etiquette. Jungkook, I was unaware of the depth that could exist in a relationship between fans and idols until you came into my life. So much has changed in your life since you started, and I realize that one of the constants that has never changed, only gotten stronger, is ARMY and our love for you. You don’t let your walls come down entirely until you are with us or your members, and we get to see you as realistically as possible without meeting you in person. We live our day to day lives working hard because we know that you are somewhere several miles away doing the same for us. We’ve seen you go through a lot and though it is unbearable to see you down at all, we are so lucky that you trust us enough to see you in these conditions. You work so hard for us; pushing your body and mind past its limit just to make us happy and we don’t deserve you straining yourself for just one performance. When JK released his photofolio in September, I immediately thought of this interview where he said he wanted to create stories and characters. For his photofolio, he created a vampire character for himself. The photofolios that have been released by the other members so far incorporate some aspects of themselves. RM's is the most straightforward, portraying himself as a performer, an art lover, and a nature lover. Jimin expresses sides of himself in a more abstract manner. Jin expresses his love for fishing and the sea into three related characters, a captain, a pirate, and a fisherman. Taehyung expresses his love for the classics as a gentleman from yesteryear. Only JK created a character that (I feel) truly separate from himself. But we'll see what Hobi and Yoongi came up with for theirs.

Thanks for the great reaction 🙏 I like the combination of JK and Hobi. RM once said that both are very close, so I think Hobi meant the formal setting when he said “awkward“ 1:19. To give my two cents to JK’s character: It‘s interesting how well JK listens to his inner self and intuition and how he isn’t afraid to break out from standards and that already at a young age. Many people are not aware of it how huge it is that a 13 year old made such big decisions like choosing Bighit and how to manage his singing at this young age by himself! JK has mentioned a few times that his parents let him try out things and that they’ve always encouraged him. They just scolded him in situations when things were obviously wrong, he said in a livestream. J-Hope also once said that JK has always been a free spirit. JK motivates me when it’s about trying out new things and improving. His mindset and work ethic is inspirational. He sets enormous standards for himself and is a perfectionist. What I‘ve also noticed is that JK isn‘t judgmental and prejudiced at all. That was also revealed in a later episode when they did the mbti test. Can‘t wait to see more reactions to the BTS members personalities.

Speaking as a parent - when you have a kid like Jungkook, your job is to make sure he has everything he needs, give him some moral guidance and encouragement, and otherwise get out of his way. 😁 I'm very glad his parents agreed with me about that.

It’s amazing what JK has accomplished in his 10 years in the industry. And he’s only 25! He has the rest of his life to explore and learn as an artist. When I was that age I was just STARTING my career. The members did a great job of bringing him up. I do also love that he limited the voice lessons so he wouldn’t lose his own style. Then J-Hope. I feel like he’s the hub that connects every one. You see it through the videos. Tae visited the set when Hobi was filming More. Then when RM finished his album, I thought he said that Hobi was the first person to listen to it. Then Jin called Hobi from the military. Then we have Jimin flying out to Lollapalooza to support Hobi. Just a few examples.

One of The unique things about BTS is all of them are very self aware and I think that's one of the reasons of their success. That's why they have improved over the years as artists and as human beings as well. Self aware, very self-critical and willing to put in the effort.

Its a bit sad that so few have seen the goofy side of Jungkook because he really is funny. He is so genuine. He just do random funny things in a split of second, it can be acting, imitation, mention something he have seen, (he is amazing at remembering). It can be during an interview, stage performances, rehearsels etc and its not always noticed if you dont keep an eye on him :)

What you’re seeing here is the mind of a creative introvert when he feels safe to open up and reveal his crazy inner world :) Hobi is such a caring friend that, as you aptly noted, he’s happy to get out of the way and listen and let JK emote and express his inner thoughts. A very interesting contrast with the Jin/JK interaction which was a pairing of two weird introverts, so they could drop their guard and just be goofy with each other because they know they are wired very much the same. Also not a huge surprise JK is so self aware - imagine being a weird artistic soul and growing up with emotionally intelligent hyungs like RM and Jimin who provide with guidance and balance. JK is ready to blossom and start revealing his deep inner genius!

It was really funny and insightful. They made almost 10 min interviews with 3 groups- RM & Suga; Jhope, JK and Jin; V and Jimin. I found Suga and RM'S especially hilarious because they kept praising and talking about each other but didn't make eye contact once😂

There is an interview BTS did called 2021 Special Talk Show - Let's Talk and it's a great interview they did where they really opened up about one another and all their achievements until now. The interview is not fully posted on YT but its on daily motion in 2 parts. 1:19 if I can give my two cents, Hobi said "awkwardness" not because they were awkward. But surely like you said it is formality. Since Hobi used to be a good listener and the one who speak when only it is needed, for Hobi to ask questions toward people is not his style. And both of them is introvert, so it is kind of finding how to make this interview to be seamless and fun for both of them. Hahaha XD.

You should watch their 2017 People interview and their 2019 SiriusXM interview. They both have some variation of the "most likely to..." game. Their answers are very enlightening and you would probably enjoy hearing what they think about each other in a more in-depth way. I love analyzing others as well and these gave me a lot of insight in regards to their group and individual dynamics.

In a way Jungkook has always been the most true to himself. It might have been because the members always encouraged him to try everything he wanted but at the same time tried to caution or inspire different areas. Jungkook himself said that he used to be selfish (no liking to share) but the members kept scolding him for it and promoting an aspect of teamwork this brought about the ability to think about other's needs above even what he desired himself. If he ever felt discouraged or hesitant the other's would support and compliment him, like the run BTS episode where he was unsure of pulling off a pink shirt in Jimin's typical style, and now he feels comfortable in adapting different styles for himself. He was never critiziced about different choices or habits but allowed to express himself or be playful as much as he needed, partially because those around him cared about him deeply and also because of their awareness to not make him grow too fast and allowing him to live out the original childishness and innocence of his youth.

I wish Jimin was as confident as JK in his singing style from the beginning when they started - he was excellent then, he had so many colors in his voice and eventhough I still love his voice now, I feel that the vocal training took something away from him. I would love if you react to young royals cast. Young royal is a Netflix show it’s originally in Swedish but there are subtitles in English(I think the best way to watch) and a English dub with the actors own voice a really good show if you haven’t watched it. Anyway I would love if you did the cast moments/interviews there are some in English but most are in Swedish with subtitles. One of the lead actors Omar Rudberg is also a singer young royals was his first time acting but I would love if you also did some of his music. I don’t know if you take suggestions but love the channel/patreon
