In We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, they are saying, "We Are Not Seven With You". BTS is 7, but they mean that with ARMY with them, they are bigger than 7. I think it had a combined meaning as an ARMY song and showing their appreciation, as well as getting through the pandemic together. BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which means Bulletproof Boyscouts (thus the Bulletproof). One of their very early songs was We Are Bulletproof Pt 2, which is very different than this. They had a LOT of "bullets" shot their way over the years since their debut in 2013, and they continue to have hate thrown at them. I'm an older lady in the U.S. and I really fell for these 7 young men from South Korea hard in 2021 and never looked back.

WAB: TE was on the Map of the Soul: 7 album, so while they did sing it during the COVID time period, it was written and released before COVID began. It had actually JUST been released a few weeks before the shutdown, so they sang it during the Map of the Soul ON:E online concerts, and then also during the Permission to Dance concerts (at least once in LA for sure, anyway??). So it couldn’t have been written as a COVID comfort song. I believe it was included on MOTS:7 because they knew that at the end of that tour they were supposed to begin the solo/military group hiatus that they are doing now. COVID caused that tour to be canceled, and it threw all of their carefully laid out plans up in the air. So it was intended as a “we can get through anything together” song about them serving, etc…but also worked well for COVID

Also, they keep using the 8 (7+1=8, 7-1=0) to represent infinity, when turned on it's side. You Never Walk Alone. And the constant loop of promotions and artist-fan interactions. It goes round and round. It also represents a link (they keep wearing heavy chains 🔗) and locks and keys (🔑🔓). Hobi's Lock/Unlock. Plus keyholes and doors. Their Proof promo pics of all 7 standing in front of the Army vault full of bullet holes. Bulletproof! And lastly, Yoongi's D-Day platforms only held up by chains (⛓️, strong chains, not hanging by a thread), until he ends up by himself (a voluntary journey to turn inside and find themselves to get stronger, not a symbol that we cut ties and let them down, maybe that's why they lift and don't drop, they need to leave us temporarily). 🤷‍♀️ 🫂 💜 PS: I agree with the other comments, it's about their military service, but it worked for Covid as well, because it worked for US.

Dude, we ALL think the boys are beautiful, bc they are. I'm a 61 yo ARMY. The wonderful thing is that they are also beautiful on the inside. We ARMYs are of every generation & virtually every country. I am not kidding when I say that they helped keep me sane during the pandemic, considering that the year began with my husband dying, then a wildfire came within 1 miles of my house, then we had a massive freeze that decimated everything here. They still soothe my soul and with my mother passing away in January, I appreciate them more than ever. I think of them as 7 extra sons (I already have 4, lol). Such a joy and delight to watch and listen to them perform. These are 2 of my favorite songs, but then my list of favorite BTS songs number in the double digits.

Bulletproof: The Eternal was on the last album they released just before Covid hit, in February of 2020, so it's not really a Covid song. They were actually planning a huge world tour, most of which was already sold out when Covid started shutting everything down and the tour was cancelled. The song was on the album that the tour would have promoted. As others have said, it's a song for ARMY, and it's really a celebration of the bond between BTS and ARMY. They don't really understand why we love and support them so much, but they say that, together, BTS and ARMY can basically withstand anything and that the bond between us is "eternal". Because of Covid, they couldn't film an MV for the song, so they created an animated video that shows their story and the story of BTS and ARMY. Nearly every ARMY who watched the video cried, even people who had been ARMY for many years, because of all of the memories it reminded us of. This song is mainly about the support that ARMY gives them but they have another song that was on the same album that's kind of the flip side of this song. "Louder Than Bombs" is an acknowledgement of how we say they have saved lives and given us so much support and it's a promise to ARMY to always be there for us and to continue to sing for us. The two songs together are a very powerful message for both BTS and ARMY. The Truth Untold is about masks, as you said, but it's also about the consequences of hiding too much of yourself. It's easy to miss but it's implied in the song that the one he is singing to has died, which is what happened in the story behind the song. It's basically Beauty and the Beast, but without the happy ending. The "Beast" remained in hiding for fear of rejection and the girl, without his presence in her life, got sick and died. That's why the last verse of the song is him wondering what would have happened if he hadn't stayed hidden behind his mask. The song is meant to encourage us to stop hiding behind are masks and is a part of their whole theme of loving yourself. They created the story and the entire legend behind the song, even creating a fictional Instagram type account for a florist wanting to sell the flowers that the beast created for the beauty. They don't do anything by half.

The official MV has subtitles and is 100% a MUST check out. It's an animated MV and goes through their entire career, up to 2020, and has imagery from most of their MVs and a lot of references to ARMY, as this is an ARMY song. This was on their album Map of the Soul 7 which was released in Feb 2020, so just before COVID. The line is the chorus is "we are not seven with you"; they are singing to ARMY. Any of the clips with ON:E on the top left corner were from the Map of the Soul ON:E online concert (which was during COVID) because they had to cancel their MofS7 World Tour so they did a two day online concert.

The story behind the song THE TRUTH UNTOLD is beautiful. It's about an “ugly” man who hid in a castle because of his appearance. Although he was a kind and good person, he received a lot of hate and cruelty. He never opened his heart to anyone. And if anyone tried to approach him, he covered his face with a mask, hiding out of fear. His happiness was planting beautiful flowers in his garden. One night a woman jumped over the castle wall and stole a flower from the garden. This angered the man. But, this continued for several nights. Then the man began to watch the woman steal the flower, he became curious and, without realizing it, he began to wait for her. One day, when he followed her, he discovered that she was selling the flowers she stole to try to make a living. Because he was already in love, he wanted to help her. But he was afraid that she would be terrified by his appearance if he approached her. He “knew” that she wouldn’t be able to love his “grotesque” appearance. So he came to the conclusion that the only way to help was to stay hidden and let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. However, she decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet so she could sell it for a high price. And so, after many attempts, the man created the most beautiful of all the flowers in his castle, the Emerald flower, and filled his garden with these beautiful flowers. But the woman never returned to her garden. And after a long wait, he finally discovered that the woman had starved to death before he could give her the flower that would have saved her, had he been brave enough to approach her. The Emerald flower plays an important role in the history of the Bangtan Universe and you will find it in several music videos. In Jimin’s EFMB performance trailer, Loco looked up the meaning of the flower and it’s a beautiful meaning. Someday when you have watched more of the BTS videos, you will want to watch the Bulletproof the Eternal video, which is animated and draws its images from all the song videosin BTS'S history, showing how they grew from nothing but with ARMY beside them. With the lyrics about how much BTS has survived and how they view ARMY as part of THEM, many of us cried all the way through because it was OUR history together. The song was actually released just a couple of weeks before the pandemic started on what was originally meant to be the final album project before they all enlisted. But then the pandemic happened and all their plans changed because everything was on pause. They first performed it for us live in a virtual concert during the midst of the pandemic, with ARMY zooming in as the audience. I am always grateful that in their very first post-pandemic US concert with an audience in November 2021 (Permission to Dance) they sang it as part of the finale and that I was there, even though we were all still masking because it was only a few months after vaccines began. It was one of my favorite songs from Map of the Soul 7 and to finally hear it in person even while we were still in the pandemic was so emotional. I always enjoy your reactions so much. Saying they're beautiful is never a bad thing. They all are beautiful inside and outside. There are videos that some people compiled of mostly men "falling" for Jimin and funnily questioning their "sexuality." You need to watch that one. There is a saying that once you Jimin you can't Jimout. 😅 You'd like it. The first song was sung by the vocal line, Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. (The rap line is: RM, Suga and J-Hope.) The second song has an animated version that I enjoy. It is one of those songs that says: "We were only 7 but we have you, have you." They say, "We are together bulletproof." I can't remember if we've said anything about it, but, please wait to watch the 2019 MMA Awards BTS performance after you've gotten to know the guys more. It's a legendary performance which should be watched when you realize how hard they've worked to get to that point, and all of their struggles to get there too. I love it when they make me cry 💜 Truth Untold is so beautiful, unadorned voices at their best telling a deeply relatable and tragic story. And We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal gets me every time, especially the official (animated) video, which walks through all the eras of the first seven years of their career together. It's such a touching song: they always said they were bulletproof but in early years there were a lot of bullets. But because of ARMY, they're bulletproof now for real. They were only seven, but they have us all now. It's such a lovely song, and the video is a love song for ARMY all by itself 💜 I'd love to see Snooze! It's an amazing song that *also* makes me cry. If you do it, give it a little time, dig in - you won't regret it. Maybe watch a live as well, and look into the collaborators Yoongi worked with. There's a lot there.

We are bulletproof: the eternal is one of BTS’s songs about ARMY. It’s from their Map of the Soul 7 album (hopefully you have that one in your pile of CDs it’s a masterpiece and meant to be played in track order to tell a specific story) Map of the Soul 7 was released in 2020 right before COVID hit, and their sold out tour was cancelled. They ended up doing an online concert in October of 2020 so they could bring never before performed live songs from that album to their fans. (Note: the song Louder than Bombs from that album has still never been performed live) BTS’ name BangTan Sonyeondan means Bulletproof Boyscouts so they wrote this song for ARMY to tell us about how we are the thing that made them bulletproof and protected them through tough times.

The song was written and released just before tha pandemic hit. The concert ON:E was in the pandemic as their Map of the Soul tour was postponed and it was an online concert. The song was about the fact that they only started with the 7 of them, but with ARMY, they are so much more. One line asks why we are still walking with them. They never expected to be as big as they got and are still confused themselves as to why ARMY are so different than other fandoms but they love us. The pain they had in their come-up was shared with ARMY. People hate on the fans as much as the group so they are grateful for us sticking with them despite that hate.

It's not part of the trilogy, but the name of this song hadn't been chosen randomly. We Are Bulletproof (pt.1) was BTS' pre-debute song with different members (trainees who eventually left the company before final list if members was approved). Some of the current BTS' members was on this song. After debut one of their first songs was We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2 which was a different song, but kinda a remake of the first song. They also remade pt.1 with current BTS' members. Both songs were kinda introduction songs for the group, talking how cool they are (cute af, if you ask me, because they were so young). We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal is the song for ARMY in celebration all these years and acknowledging all sh*t BTS and ARMY had to go through, but we still remained strong together. The MV is very beautiful with references to their previous MVs and struggles they went through.

Pretty much ALL ARMYs buy the albums dear (if we can afford to.) To show our support and because they are beautifully packaged art in themselves, with different styles of outer packaging, plus photo books and photo cards and other curated extras that are on the theme of the album. I have a whole bookcase with all their albums, group and solo. Some ARMYs have whole rooms for all their albums, books and merch. As Namjoon/RM says "I like hate comments better than no comments. I don't know you, but you know my name." Also remember, BTS has haters who cosplay as ARMY just to behave badly and give ARMY and BTS a bad name. Ridiculous but completely true. Also - in a fandom this large, upwards of 100 mil or more, you will of course have a portion of people who are wound a bit too tight or, conversely, have a screw loose. How is it inappropriate to say they are beautiful!? LOL That's just facts. I can recognize beautiful people, no matter their gender, and men can too, if they drop the toxic masculinity. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that, particularly since they don't fit the "Male Idol Beauty Standards" in S Korea and were called "The Ugly Idol Group" when they debuted. They have taken a LOT of hate over their looks. Believe it or not. Only one of them fits the standard (Jin, far right side of your screen on Truth Untold) and he fits it so well he is considered stunningly unreal in S Korea. The rest of them don't, but all of them are objectively gorgeous. The standard is cartoonish, unreal and stupid. They were not scouted on looks (except Jin, who was literally shanghaied off a bus because of his gorgeous face, no joke) they were scouted on talent. That doesn't mean Jin is not talented, obviously, just listen to him. He was scouted on looks, but he won his place in the group through hard work and the discovery of unknown talents like his diamond of a voice he didn't know he had. We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal is a fan song for ARMY. BTS has quite a lot of songs that are directly addressing, about or referencing ARMY. They are every bit as attached to us as we are to them. This song was released in 2020, but just *BEFORE* the pandemic hit, on their Map of the Soul album series. It is about all the hardships and struggles that BTS and ARMY have been through together. The lyrics say: "We were only Seven, but we have you all now. Yeah, we are not Seven with you." and also "Together we are Bulletproof" and "We got to Heaven" with you. The MV is an animated walkthrough of their MVs and eras to that date, with symbolism representing many of the hardships they have faced, like firestorms of hate, media abuse, industry lockouts and shunning, being categorized, defined, locked in a box and dismissed, hate campaigns, death threats, unfounded accusations, emotional turmoil, injuries, etc. In the part of the MV (if you watch it) where the Namjoon character is drowning in a black ocean, purple hearts appear like bubbles and guide him to the surface....that's ARMY. The whale also represents ARMY, and the flower petals. 100% Us Against the World. You got the feel of the song perfectly. Their name, BTS, Bangtan Sonyeondan, means Bulletproof Boyscouts. They have three songs called We Are BulletProof (WAB) - Pt 1, Pt 2 and The Eternal. The first two are rap anthem declarations of arriving on the scene, from their debut era. This one is a ballad love song to ARMY 7 years later. They are saying that together, we can weather any storm and survive any hits, because BTS and ARMY found each other.

For those who don't know 💜The Truth Untold - this is how they conceptualised the song: They created a very old and sad story called, 'La Città di Smeraldo' that takes place in a small town in Italy ( in the 16th Century -1500's). The story's about an 'ugly' man who hid in an old castle alone, even though he was a gentle good person, because of his looks he received lots of hate & cruelty while growing up. He never opened his heart to anyone. Eventually if anyone tried to approach him, he covered his deformed face with a mask and hid in fear, ...So he became bitter and angry. His one happiness in life was to plant beautiful flowers in his walled off garden. One night a woman appeared near the man's castle. She jumped over the garden fence and stole a flower. This angered the man at first. So he watched his garden all night. But when he fell asleep, the woman took another flower. This continued for several nights. The man pretended to be asleep and watched the woman steal a flower. He started becoming curious about the woman. He began waiting for her. Without realizing he started waiting for her to come and each day began to seem a little brighter. Following after her one day he realized that she was selling the flowers that she stole from him to try to make a living. The man falling in love so desperately wanted to help the woman. But he was afraid she would be terrified by the way he looks if he approached her. He 'knew' she would never be able love his 'grotesque' appearance. He came to a conclusion that the only way he would be able to help her is to keep himself hidden and let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. The man decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet. So that the woman could sell them at a expensive price. He began to create the flower in his castle. After many unsuccessful attempts, the man created the most beautiful of all flowers (The Smeraldo Flower) and filled his garden with these beautiful flowers. But the woman stopped coming. No matter how long he waited she never came back to his garden. He eventually found out that the woman had starved to death before he could give her the flower that would have saved her. If only he had been brave enough to approach her😭 The smeraldo flower plays a part in the Bangtan Universe storyline, and you will see it in various MVs. The Smeraldo flower symbolizes the sincerity that could not be delivered. The moral of the story, as interpreted by BTS, is that people are entrapped in the depths of misery and darkness due to a lack of self-love and confidence. The protagonist would have probably felt much better, had he talked to her and confronted his fears and insecurities. In addition, another aspect is the way people are affected by childhood trauma and dysfunctional families. The man was highly affected by his childhood trauma caused by nasty comments made by people. 💜💜

These men truly love and cherish their fans, and they know and understand they are where they are because of us. They are a true underdog story because of their and ARMYs very, very hard work. Bulletproof: The Eternal was from their album Map of the Soul: 7. This album was released in 2020, right before covid hit. The original timeline was supposed to be that this album would drop, they would go on a huge world tour (39 shows), and then leave for their military service. But then covid happened and cancelled their tour. And they stayed, hoping they could see us again before they needed to go to the military. When they finally gave up on holding the tour, they did several online based concerts. This video was a mix of some of those performances. So yes, you were almost there with your interpretation. They did, eventually, get to do a handful of shows before leaving for their service, but nothing on the scale of what MOTS was supposed to be. The Truth Untold is our power ballad. It was produced by Steve Aoki. We were all shocked by since Steve is known for his EDM. It's hard to pick a favorite song of theirs, but this one is really high on my list.

Not old sweetie we all do that we are music buyers we all have our Bought albums on our shelves and are CD players etc so we can listen to them when we've at home. But we also stream as streaming doesn't pay the artist very well, compared to album sales.

It's 'too much hurt' eg all the hate they did and still receive and ARMY also get that same hate 'so much pride' pride in who they are and in u, the fandom ARMY. Notice the line 'we are not 7 with you' eg with ARMY we are more than 7 young men of BangTan sonyeodan (Bulletproof Boyscouts) You will often hear they refer to themselves either as 'BTS' or their full title BanTang Sonyeond or Bangtan or Bulletproof as they all mean the same thing one's in English the other is in Korean.

On a side note, I wouldn't recommend "Stage Mix" videos for live performances. They're compilations made by fans of different live performances cut together to the tune of a separate live audio (I've even seen "Stage Mixes" use studio audio rather than live audio). That's why sometimes lip movements and audio don't match up. I'd recommend unedited live performances for the "real" experience.
