I don't know if you know about it but one theory is that the people in black are representing us ARMYs and we and BTS are taking bullets (hardships, hate etc.) for each other BUT nobody dies because "NOT TODAY!". ;) We survive from the hardships because we have each other and we rise because we believe in each other! At 3:33 when you see the sky being reflected in the thing they stand on (ice? mirror? Who knows, but probably has an important meaning) BTS and the rest look like birds flying in the sky, and as Rap Monster said in BTS' Artist of The Year speech "Let's fly with our beautiful wings in 2017 as well", this might be a reference to that! :O :D Furthermore, if you pause at 4:06 you can see Jungkook being reflected in his own eye standing in the middle with the fallen BTS and ARMYs around him. Some say they see a gun on Jungkook´s back in the reflection! :O Why does he have a gun (if it is a gun)? We don't know yet. Why is Jungkook the only one who doesn't get shot? Is he the killer? Why? We can only theorise. xD Someone has said that it might be connected to his short film BEGIN and about his feelings that he cannot live without BTS and that everyone getting shot is his personal nightmare...but these are just theories... :)

When I first heard it, I thought it's not better than "Dope" or "Fire" but when you think about the lyrics and watch the MV you realise this song is the pure spirit of BTS, its an anthem : "All the underdogs in the world ... if you cant run, walk, if you cant walk crawl "- these lyrics are really emblematic of their career. They were underdogs, hardly anybody in Korea paid attention to them for years, plus i always saw people hating on their visuals calling them ugly (dont have face of an idol), saying their music is too aggressive or rowdy, or saying they're from a "no-name company"-- They even got blacklisted by the government for trying to speak out about the Sewol tragedy, they overcame all those obstacles with their art and talent, even the government couldnt stop them! A lot of people never saw them as real competition to groups from major companies like SM or YG and yet WINGS was the biggest selling album of 2016 and BTS are breaking records all over the world. They clawed and scraped their way to where they are in K-pop now, it may of taken ages but they showed you can be an outsider/underdog and still win- The US had Trump, UK had Brexit and K-Pop had BTS (lol) 🤣. Those shots of them running with all the crowd and dancing through the snow with them, i think it represents army fandom supporting them and encouraging them through it all defending them from all the haters and naysayers. This song is definitely addressed to their haters as well as their fans; just try and silence them, you may succeed one day, but that day is not today!

Honestly BTS never disappoints with their music. Not only are their title tracks always good, their B-sides are even better. I was worried that the release of 'I need u' would be a turn for the worse as they would be releasing more public-friendly songs however I am glad that they've found a formula which allows their music to be somewhat public-friendly but still quintessentially BTS. Not today is a great track and great representation of not only their journey so far but also of their ability to still stay true to themselves amongst all this fame and success. B-Free, eat shit 😂😂 I am petty, i know 😩

It's really nice to see people from their own society reacting to their songs. I've been teaching Koreans for almost a year and I haven't encountered someone who likes or even someone who listens to their 'voices'. It's really nice to know there are people like you. And although, I know some from social medias, who likes BTS, it's still rare to see men liking them. I really wanted to know how Koreans perceive their songs. Because if there are people who should appreciate their music and lyrics, it must be definitely people who're from the same society who shares something in common; like same pressures, values and 'fights'. ^^

If you are a vip then you should know that Bigbang start off with public acknowledgement first, they didn't have big fandom like tvxq, sj, exo and bts. Bigbang didn't even win new artists award like bts or the rest of popular idol groups did. They basically have to come out with a hit song to get known to the public. I don't understand which part that make vips or any other fans think bts reminded them of Bigbang. bts is setting their own name in kpop and Bigbang already done that, there's nothing left for them to prove anymore. You're an army too so you should know that ur fellow army hated when ya'll link them together, after all bts only flaw is being Bigbang fanboys( armys)

I don't really understand why it seemed like you were offended by this. My comment was not to disrespect or downgrade any of BB's discography. First of all, 'BTS reminding me of Big Bang' is not a bad thing. They remind me of Big Bang in a way that they both struggled when they debuted, gradually attaining success and basically making their own music. Yes, you said big bang didn't have a big fandom at first and you're right. But so does BTS. It took them 1 hit song too to achieve the fandom. Second, my point of me 'hoping' for BTS to get that same acknowledgement of the public. I said (third time now) i hope they get respected too by the general public in korea. And third, please don't generalize armys. Actually, most armys like Big Bang too. Also, as i said im a huge vip. Been one since 2009 and an army since 2016. Im saying this so you won't think im being biased to bts.

I know this is late ~ Consider... The ninjas are ARMY - see where BTS is attacked and ARMY rushes to shield/ ‘protect’ them? Thereafter they’re ‘protected’ in turn by BTS.
