check out the lyrics for their DNA song...some amazing writing here I recognized you as soon as I saw you As if we’ve called each other The DNA in my blood is telling me That it’s you who I’ve been looking for Our encounter is a mathematical formula The law of religion, the ways of the universe The evidence of fate given to me You are the origin of my dreams Take it take it My hand held out to you is destiny Don’t worry love Because all of this is not coincidence We’re completely different baby Because we’ve found our destiny From the day the universe was formed Past infinite worlds Probably in our past life and in our next lives We’ll be together forever, DNA Because all of this is not coincidence Because we’ve found our destiny DNA I want it this love I want it real love I’m only focusing on you It pulls me harder From the start, my DNA wants you This is fate, I love us Only we are true lovers Every time I see her, I am amazed It’s so strange, my breath keeps stopping Is this the love that I’ve only heard about? Because from the start, my heart only beats towards you Don’t worry love Because all of this is not coincidence We’re completely different baby Because we’ve found our destiny From the day the universe was formed Past infinite worlds Probably in our past life and in our next lives We’ll be together forever, DNA Because all of this is not coincidence Because we’ve found our destiny DNA Don’t look back Because we’ve found our destiny Don’t regret it baby Forever Forever Forever Because we’re forever together Don’t worry love Because all of this is not coincidence We’re completely different baby Because we’ve found our destiny, DNA La la la la la La la la la la Because this isn’t a coincidence, DNA La la la la la La la la la la Because this isn’t a coincidence DNA

@@maxplanck1077 seriously? can you not read through lines? LoL you must have gotten F for a literature class or something. I said " syndrome". The crazy syndrome BTS has created to their fans is similar to that of Beatles. I am not talking about anything else. That is what they are talking about. Who else in this age make their fans camp out around their concert stadiums a week prior to their concert? Whoe else does that these days? No one but BTS makes fans do that. Camping out 1 week before the concert starts just to get the best viewing standing seats. That is a phenomenal, very rare to see these days. BTS has that impact on people. Btw, FYI BTS has gotten no.1 on billboard 200 chart 3 times in a row within 11 months. BTS is the only artist who has that record after Beatles. It is a FACT. DEAL WITH IT!😊

@@koyukiny First of all, I always had straight A's in literature class. Secondly, I still stand by my judgement, if I had lived in the 60's, I would have waited a whole month to attend a Beatles' concert. Thirdly, BTS fans are hella defensive. If someone had said something similar about a band I like, I would have said "sure, suit yourself". I wouldn't need to justify my music taste.

I don't know if anyone will see this but for those of you who aren't familiar with BTS or this song let me explain what Boy With Luv is actually about because it has a lovely meaning that I think captures their sincerity very well. So first and foremost it's a love song, that much was obvious, but it's what it means to BTS that I feel is so important because in simplest terms, this is a song about ARMYs (their fans). To provide some context, i'm sure you can imagine a korean group singing in their native language would have experienced many barriers and hardships in the western market. They have not only been discriminated against but constantly pressured to conform to appeal to a wider audience at the expense of their artistic integrity. Not just that but even from their own country they are constantly pressured to meet unbelievable expectations and their every move is scrutinised. This is accumulated to have a pretty severe affect on their mental health to the point they almost considered disbanding, thankfully they managed to persevere and have reached a point where they can comfortably reject all pressures, criticisms and prejudices. This album 'Map of The Soul: Persona' is inspired by Carly Jung's theories on individual psyche and this album and song in particular emphasises 'persona' (individuality). So this song is also a rejection of all these criticisms to act a certain way and make music a certain way to cater to people because they want to embrace their own individuality, they don't want to sacrifice it just to please a wider audience. It's cause of the fans constant support of this that they have been able to reject that. They have said themselves that this song (along with the album) is dedicated to their fans and if you look at some of the lyrics you can understand why: "I’m flying high up in that sky with the two wings that you gave me then" "They say, I, who used to so small, became a hero (Oh nah) I say, things like destiny were never mine from the beginning (Oh nah) The world’s peace (No way) Some grand rules (No way) Just going to protect you, I am" "with Icarus’ wings that you gave me, I’d fly to you, not the sun" These pretty accurately convey how their priority has always been about their fans and not feeling the need to live up to certain expectations or cater to a certain audience etc. BTS took this sentiment and how they have been able to endure everything because of the support and love from their fans and turned it into a love song. The korean title is actually called 'a poem for small things' and in various parts they talk about wanting to know trivial petty parts of the person's life because this is what they consider 'true love'. So.... to them the support and love their fans gave them was so powerful it helped them through everything and that sentiment is what they consider 'true love'. google 'doolset boy with luv lyrics' if you want a better explanation!

Saw a comment dismissing BTS because they don't hold instruments and i was wondering if i should dismiss The Beatles because they couldn't dance...sigh. People, just appreciate TALENT!
@fifthbeatle
@fifthbeatle 4 жыл бұрын
They were simply stating a FACT. The fact that The Beatles were performing their songs 100% live, without any autotune or backup instruments is the point that those comments were probably trying to make. Objectively speaking The Beatles are much more talented in that they wrote and produced all their songs and performed them all 100% live without ANY external help. They are the biggest pioneers in pop music’s history, completely setting the bar for future generations of music. As much as I’m a fan of BTS, you CANNOT compare them with the Beatles. It like comparing BTS with Mozart or Beetoven. They’re simply just not on the same tier.
@fifthbeatle
@fifthbeatle 4 жыл бұрын
Ryan Lajara I’m not saying The Beatles are better because BTS don’t play instruments when playing live. They simply just cannot be COMPARED to the Beatles. The Beatles influenced and changed music history, popular history, social history, political history, cultural history, fashion history in not only America, but practically the entire WORLD. And im sorry, did you just say that if The Beatles hadnt I spoken English, they wouldn’t have been famous? You do know that they werent just popular in english speaking countries, right? Literally every single country in this world knew who the Beatles were at the time, most notably Russia, the Philippines, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and hell, even South Korea! Even things as simple as the synthesizer, that you and I hear on a daily basis was pioneered and practically invented into use by the Beatles. Im not saying that BTS isnt capable of doing something like that in the future, but they certainly dont even touch what the Beatles had done currently, let alone in the next couple years. Here’s something to keep in mind: The Beatles have influenced you, culturally, musically, socially, politically, on a personal/profound level one way or another, whether you like it or not, and thats a fact that I can tell you. You should listen to the Beatles a bit more, and actually explore a bit of their history, you may even become a fan. After all, maintaining an open mind and constantly learning new things is always good for anyone’s growth, not just in this context, but in life :)
@fifthbeatle
@fifthbeatle 4 жыл бұрын
Ryan Lajara I respect your opinion man. I just think that thats a pretty big leap of faith and assumption that The Beatles wouldnt have made it if they spoke a different language. My educated guess would be that it still wouldve been very likely that they still became extremely successful, considering how much influence they have had on other countries despite speaking a totally different language. In my opinion The Beatles are set apart from any other group, whether it be Elvis or MJ because of how much impact they have had on every aspect of our lives and of the entire world. Although groups like MJ and Elvis were big icons, and no doubt influenced pop culture and music, its not nearly to the extent of the Beatles. My opinion is that the reason you may be associating The Beatle sound to typical “western” music is because of how much they INFLUENCED western music and their standards. Its even more interesting considering that the Beatles arent even American, they’re British, a totally different country but still had a profound impact on America. Also the most fascinating thing about The Beatles in regards with their music, is the way they matured musically/spiritually throughout their short 7 year span. Example would be listening to Love Me Do, and Tomorrow Never Knows, the level of maturity is astounding. The Beatles were also very open minded in terms of delving into all different kinds of music. They were influenced by and replicated Indian music, country, rock, psychedelic rock, etc etc. Heck, they even invented heavy metal! This result in every single genre of their songs being of different origin and sound absolutely different. I have yet to experience that with BTS. I have high hopes for them though, and im looking forward to their future endeavours, but for now, it is impossible to compare them even for a second, to the almighty Beatles. Oh and one more thing, The Beatles have literally sung in different languages before, such as German, Latin, Spanish, and French. So there ya go!
@fifthbeatle
@fifthbeatle 4 жыл бұрын
Ryan Lajara Okay I agree with the fact that BTS have encouraged the globalization of foreign music, and that that will most likely be their legacy. But that in no way negates the fact that The Beatles are and will always be timeless and insurmountably influential to the entire world in every way possible for all of time to come. Its the freaking Beatles. No other group can be compared to them. Like I said, use Beetoven and Mozart as an example, it just doesnt make sense saying those two names in the same sentence.
