Let it sink in this is not a BTS concert but a freaking award show performance. I can't even watch American award shows anymore (unless BTS is on of course) because Asian award show performances are always high quality. BTS got to do a 37 minute performance on this award show, people who are receiving lifetime achievement awards in the US don't even get to perform for that long. They were talking about this performance awhile back and Jimin said he felt like throwing up after they were done. This performance took 3 months to prepare and it was well worth every minute.

Yeah, I think a few of them collapsed afterwards. These guys danced and performed for that full 37 minutes, except for time to change outfits. I give them Soooo much credit. What other group does that?!?!?! None that I've ever seen!

BTS sent a message with their performances during the 2019-2020 winter award season. At each one they performed a song from the very beginning of their career (at MMA it was the song that started in a classroom setting). MMA 2019 is the night BTS pulled off their first all-kill. They swept the major categories, AND they also chose to perform "Boy in Luv" - with the same set and same choreo from their very first tour in 2014. It was their encore stage - back when they were nobodies in the eyes of the industry big-shots and general public. The message was "We've always been good enough to take all the awards. Here's what you missed when you were trashing us back then."

The recent BTS PTD Concert in LA official ticket prices were not very expensive ranging from $60 to $275 before fees depending on the seat sections and rows. The Gold and Silver Soundcheck packages (VIP Floor seats next to the stage) cost around $450 before fees. Those very expensive tickets costing $600-$1000s are usually sold by resellers and scalpers who wanted to profit from people who couldn't get tickets.

Their tickets for BTS live shows aren’t as pricey as they could be. My husband and I (I’m in my 60’s, btw) saw them in LA and our 2 tickets were under $100. We were prepared to pay $700+ and were quite surprised at the price. We had decent seats too. The hard part was how fast the tickets were going. The scalpers charged a fortune for tickets but not BTS themselves. And this video is an award show, not a concert. Just imagine what their concerts are like. If you guys like rock music, please tell me what bands you like that perform anything remotely like this. I went to The Rolling Stones Steel Wheels show many years ago, and while Mick Jagger ran around the stage, and strutted around, I don’t remember any hard dancing while singing. I’m curious about your musical tastes.

BTS tickets are not as expensive as you think. I would say they are fairly priced compared to other concert prices. Only reason they got expensive at the PTD Concerts in L.A. is because resellers think they can get away with reselling for 100's - 1000's of dollars.

This performance was requested so much because it's ARMY's favorite one - it was just voted best performance by ARMY in a survey for a "Run BTS" episode and made available to ARMY on Weverse. This performance is unbelievable, and they have a LOT of unbelievable performances. 😂You guys don't need to worry so much about the time in BTS reactions. ARMY will watch, and for this one what mattered was your reaction to it because it's SO amazing. That kind of got cheated because you were worried about how long this video was. even if it was at least clear that you all liked it and were impressed. One clarification - all of the songs played during the member solos were different, instrumental versions. Also, each member represented a Greek God, and the lights that lowered after each performance were a star in a constellation (Corona Borealis, which represents the crown that Princess Ariadne of Crete wore the day she married Dionysus): - V: No More Dream (Apollo, god of the sun - twin to Artemis (notice his earring matched Jimin's)) - Jin: Danger (Athena, goddess of justice (some said Ares, god of war)) - Jimin: I Need U (Artemis, goddess of hunting/moon - twin to Apollo (notice his earring matched V's)) - SUGA: Fire (Hephaestus, god of fire) - Jungkook: Save Me (Poseidon, god of the sea) - j-hope: Fake Love (Zeus, god of thunder) - RM: Dionysus (Dionysus, god of wine and festivity - note the thyrsus he carried was covered with ivy and leaves) The version of Dionysus used in this performance was mixed with elements of N.O for the dance break. And finally, as many have said but I want to emphasize - BTS keeps their ticket prices LOW, actually, compared to other acts. I paid $75 each for two, for the PTD LA on Stage concert last November. $475 each for floor seats and soundcheck is very cheap, and I'd have paid it if I could have gotten them...lol Scalpers, unfortunately, got ahold of tickets to the concert and Ticketmaster does absolutely nothing to discourage it - in fact, they ENcourage it because they make money off it if it's done through their secondary seller marketplace. Nice reaction, overall. I've missed your weekly video releases.

This wasn't even a BTS concert. It was an awards show and BTS is very generous and extravagant with their production. They really give us an awesome and entertaining production. Great performance. You need to watch the 2018 MMA where they performed Idol live. It features a special 3 J's (J-hope, Jimin & Jungkook) dance breaks. The entire production was also entertaining with a Korean twist.

I love this performance. Few months ago I've watched it with my family and my uncle who isn't big fan of music in general said that he would go to their concert 😂 My aunt is big rock and rap fan and she loved that too. My mom was blown away by horses 🤣 She didn't expect that..me too when I've first watched it 🤷‍♀️😅 This performance is legendary 👏 💜💜💜

Can I recommend another live performance? Their title track medleys from their concerts are always great. My favorite is the Dope+baepsae +fire+run medley. Their energy is seriously amazing 😁

I'll just say that this was an Award Show, not a concert. I'm in my 60's and I've NEVER seen a show like this before. I was just in Awe the first time I saw it, and I remain in Awe. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go down the BTS rabbit hole in my life time. I don't listen to "K-Pop" normally, but I'll listen to BTS forever as I think they go across many genres. I'm excited you are reacting to this. I have seen it many times but I'm always happy to watch it again with reactors....it is the best performance I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of big names such as Beatles, Michael Jackson, Prince, Queen). Can you imagine a western awards show giving an artist 35 minutes of performance time? The first time that BTS performed at the Grammy's (and they were already this successful internationally) the were basically backup singers for Lil Nas for 40 seconds and the 2nd time they performed a shortened version of Dynamite. Eastern award shows definitely know how to put on a show!! They have combined various genres (rap, pop, EDM etc) and have highlighted each member in the individual segments where they each did a solo to a remix of one of their older songs. Not sure if you noticed, but when they did their solos, a light came down from the ceiling for each person to make up a constellation. Parts of the performance were pre-recorded. I believe RM's first solo was..definitely Mikrokosmos and the parts of Dionysus that involved live horses. It was a well rounded performance with something for everyone. You described it well...it was an experience. Thanks for reacting. I subscribed.

I'm so glad you finally got to see this! You should look up some of Army's analyses of the elements of the Dionysus portion. It presents many actual elements of the Dionysian mythos, from the horn blowing to the leopards to the flower strewing to the display of captured kings. The members all portray Greek gods, while dancing to songs from BTS albums. Even the seven lights dropping down form a constellation known to the Greeks as a marriage diadem. The whole performance arc carries us from RMs solo question, Who the hell am I? to the answer of Dionysus, I am the artist who is born into two worlds. What a voyage of self-discovery! And BTS carries us with them. Thanks for the reaction. Can't wait for the live!

So glad you finally reacted to this !! I’ve been subscribed from the beginning of your journey with BTS I’m 56 and have loved the boys four about 4 years now! First favorite is Boys with love.. But since then I have over 200 of their songs and I support all their online concerts no matter what time I have to get up to watch it . So of course I had to go to LA to see them live. I actually had a ticket to see them in May of 2020 in Dallas but due to Covid was postponed til a couple of months before they announced this concert when they finally canceled the other and I was able to get my refund from Ticketmaster ! So I was their in the last night when Chris Martin from Cold Play showed up to perform My Universe!! Amazing!! Just a quik mention I saw Elvis in concert and these boys blew that out of the water for me! Can’t wait to see them again !! No matter the cost! Lol

Mikrokosmos was taped the night before the actual live show infront of the same audience . The award show actually has allot of artists who have their performances taped the night before the show infront of the audience . Excwpt for jimins solo in white , the rest of the solo 30 second performances in white suits was taped the night before the show infront of a live audience ,then it's shown on screen . It gave bts time to change clothes and rest for their Dionysus live performance .. jimin was the only 1 who did his dance piece live .. for them to do 4 songs , change clothes and in a space of 35 minutes will make them extremely tired and unable to perform their last song effectively . So the first two songs and the last song was done on the night of the award show but mikrokosmos and the 30second solos were taped night before or more like at 2am infront of live audience . Award show performances are all taped night before infront of live audience to ensure that everything looks good on camera for the actual night of the awards . Jungkook in water was taped night before ... Dionysus was live on the night of the show and the first two songs ... the award show company makes money by selling tickets for both the night before tapings and the live show . American music awards does the same . Silk sonic taped their performance the night before infront of live audience for the American music awards 2021 ..it's taped at the same venue of cause

A little info on the performances, Mikrokosmos (the song with the galaxy effects) was pre-recorded a day early and they played it on the big screen while they set up the stage and costumes for the next performance. Jungkook’s solo was pre-recorded the day before also because they wouldn’t have enough time to transition from him being soaking wet to dionysus. So the only solos that were live were Jhope, Jin, V, Suga, Jimin. The horses and some of the pre-stage of dionysus were pre-recorded as to save time and not overwhelm the animals. and i think that’s it…Army let me know if i missed anything or got anything in correct p.s. you should really react to the dance practice of this performance you see so much more detail

Their concert tickets are not that expensive. I paid $90 each for the cancelled 2020 concert and got really good seats. Unfortunately, for the PTD concert, tickets sold out so fast. I had to get third party tickets and they were EXTREMELY costly.

It would benefit to look up explanations of songs esp from dkdtv cos of language barrier and cultural differences. One might not like a song but it would help in appreciating and not dismissing it maybe which can still happen and that's okay. The tickets aren't expensive, you can buy tickets for less 100$ of course seets close to scene are more like 400, but middle are around 200 and it is usually nice view, this people that buy people and then sell, (it is hard word for me thimat starts on S), they sell it for sooo much money like 1000 - 3000, but ARMYs know not to buy it, and they will have to go down or return them before concert bc they will stay with tickets .... The problem us to get ticket not how much it is.

Btw. BTS concert tickets are pretty inexpensive especially in comparison to western artists. Prices range from $70 to $275 for floor seats. Barricade soundcheck tickets are more in the $450 range. Comparing those to Taylor Swift.....there is no comparison. The show they put on is NO comparison.
