The easiest way to explain this song would be that something/someone was there once and then vanished overnight. It's comparing this song to Pluto since it was considered an actual planet for YEARS until scientists decided that it didn't fit current criteria to be classified as a planet and was therefor re-classified as a dwarf planet. The numbers represent Pluto's "planet destination", and please don't ask what that means since Google wasn't my friend when I looked it up. Random fun fact time: This song along with RM's mixtape song Moonchild and Mikrokosmos were selected by NASA via Twitter to be added into a playlist for astronauts as they went into space sometime in the future.

Pluto was reclassified as an asteroid, therefore the number as opposed to a name. It was previously classified as a planet.
@yoongi.1013 жыл бұрын
I think the number is probably smth to do with how far away it is from the earth or sun
@memyoldie2 жыл бұрын
The number is most likely because at the time of Pluto’s reclassification, it was the 134,340th object, to be “discovered “ in our solar system. Astronomers will number objects they discover instead of trying to come up with millions of names and keeping them all organized.

for me, this song holds the meaning of you feeling like pluto. Like based on criteria from people who don't know you or truly know about you they judge you and place you in a category and just as easily discard you. Pluto was a planet and then it wasn't then it was, then it wasn't, just like that. Only because of the judgment of others. I feel like pluto was meant to convey the feelings of pluto who's orbit just for the solar system and wants to be loved by it as much as it loves it but is easily discarded as not important by the one thing they love. We are seeing pluto miss their solar system, shine bright for the solar system, survive as a nameless planet, feel wronged or compared to eris, and all the emotions that come with that metaphor hehe sorry if this doesn't make sense but yeh that was my interpretation of it.

Comparing the reclassification of pluto the redefining a relationship is pure lyrical genius. If ONE person decides it's no longer love, does it change the feelings felt by the other person? BTS are amazing at making us feel new things and Namjoon (RM) is amazing at finding parallels in every day life, he literally looks at things differently than other people do. Leaves falling - Spring Day, Clouds - Life goes on (list is endless)

In this song they are talking about a romantic relationship. BTS makes concept albums, this song belongs to the album "Love Yourself: Tear" from their LOVE YOURSELF era that were 3 albums: The first "Love Yourself: Her" talks about a romantic relationship that is beginning, when everything is perfect, the second album in the series "Love Yourself Tear" contains songs that speak of the dark side of a relationship, (personally I believe each of the songs on this album is a work of art) and the latest album from the series is "Love Yourself: Answer" which is pretty much a compilation of the previous two albums with songs that tie the three albums together and a final self-love song ... it's breathtakingly creative the way these albums came out and if you listen "Love Yourself Answer" from beginning to end in order will be enough to understand that "era" of BTS.

It is a great reflex to think that the song isn't a love song, most of their songs aren't, even if they might seem so at the beginning. That being said, this one is probably about a romantic relationship xD We tend to judge the meaning by its placement in their discography and the placement on the album itself - I also think Suga's verse is telling on it. P.S. This is my favorite song from them sonically, it's considered acid jazz. Fairly simple, with just an overarching allegory being very interesting and unique. It reminds me of Whalien 52 in the style of creation. Favorite line being JHope's 'now I'm just (a bunch of) numbers for you' and 'numbers were always hard for you to remember'

BTS has a lot of songs that explore relationships and love, this is one of them. I love this song. I think a lot of people can relate to a relationship just disappearing and one person is left with the aftermath of the depature. And your right BTS can take some of the most unsual topics and use them as a metaphor for emotions, like in Whalien 52. Absolute genius! The Genius Lab is the name of Suga's studio btw.

This song was released on their album love yourself tear where the concept is about the end of relationships so it’s not for army like 2!3! Or magic shop is for army, it’s exploring an aspect of the end of a relationship through the metaphor of Pluto. A lot of their albums ar concept albums where to understand the full story you have to listen to the full album because each song will take the story or concept a bit further it’s super interesting how they do that making the songs both stand alone and interconnected. Bts do their concerts alone with multiple costume changes and set designs so they were most likely going to perform other songs, they do have songs that they use to close the show the last one was microcosmos idk which song they used to end the love yourself tour but it’s generally something more hopeful. I don’t think you can really use the muster as a benchmark for what a bts concert is like because musters are special gifts to army where bts will do more activities and sing songs they don’t normally sing and do things that they know will please army. While concerts are more for performing their set lists. Though they do still have moments in the concerts where they talk to army and it does get pretty emotional 😭 But from what I’ve seen musters are a little more sillier and concerts are more intense!

Great reaction as always!! This song is part of their love yourself series (specifically love yourself: tear) and fits into the timeline of those 3 albums...falling in love, realizing that the love isnt good for either partner, and then finally loving yourself. So, in that, it's probably about losing a relationship which is what a lot of love yourself: tear focuses on. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, it's time for bed for me 😅

I know Army always like to say that BTS's songs are about Army, and while a lot of them are, that kind of interpretation can sometimes take away from other, more straightforward meanings of the songs. In my opinion, this is just a love/ breakup song about an unknown person who one day just left the relationship and disappeared. We don't really need to know their own personal relationships or be told about their love lives in order to resonate with the song's story

Hi... I had written a big comment but my system shut down and I lost it....yikes anyways, 35th viewer! I absolutely agree, They make a topic, which seems impossible to fit it in a song and mean soo much, possible! This song is one of my favourites! The "missing you" was just a part of the lyrics (I'll explain it below) . It is one of their b-sides from the Love Yourself: Tear album. This performance is from the 5th muster. I believe right before that was the Speak Yourself tour. So there wasn't much of a time-lapse. Summary of the Love Yourself series: The first part, Love Yourself: Her is about being in a relationship [Love or friendship], being happy and wanting to please other ("I can be anything you want to be" vibes) The second part, Love Yourself: Tear is about the uneasiness and discontent of being a fake persona just to please others. And when they try to show their true selves, the people in the relationship drift away (which is where the lyrics fit in). The third part is the Love Yourself: Answer , where they realize "One should truly love themselves in order to love others" - Kim Namjoon. This is what they promoted and campaigned at the UNICEF. I'd like to suggest something, instead of randomly reacting to the videos, why don't you start reacting songs from their recent album BE ? And you could slowly move backwards. It would be more orderly, from my pov... Anyways, I love watching your channel! I wait for reactions to come out haha... And I hope you read this comment coz I retyped the whole thing 😅😅

The song is from their Love Yourself:Tear album. I don't think the reference in Suga's verse has any direct meaning other than his own personal experience that we don't know about. I think it's comparing Plutos' state to a relationship after a break up. Both persons that were together now live their own lives, maybe passing by each other sometimes, but it's no longer the same. It's a beautiful metaphor, using Pluto and the solar system as past lovers, and dwarf planet Eris being the downfall of their relationship. Pluto, now nameless, still circles around, lost his importantce to the solar system, but still existing..

143430 is a track on Love Youself: Tear album. The overall theme being the pain of splitting, coming apart in evolving relationships, this song is about being rejected/ejected from a relationship, being denied any status or importance, while still orbiting that person. The comparison is spot on: just like Pluto lost its name overnight, relegated to a non-planet in the solar system, being ignored is as good as becoming nameless (unseen).

Yeah, it always boggles my mind how they think to tie together these metaphors. Some more background: this song is from their Love Yourself: Tear album, which is part of the Love Yourself album series. The series starts with LY: Her with it's single DNA, and is about the start of a powerful, consuming, almost fated love. LY: Tear with Fake Love as it's single is about the breakdown of that relationship, realizing that any love that would want you to change yourself is fake. Most of the songs including 134340 are about the messy break up and the lingering emotions. It finally ends with LY: Answer with the lead single Idol and it's anthem of "You can't stop me (from) loving myself!" Through that album, we reach the epiphany in Jin's Epiphany that we should first learn to love ourselves, that we can't truly love others or be loved without doing so. The series ends with the song Answer: Love Myself (one of my faves!), and that "I'm learning how to love myself."

They did this as well with Whalien 52, the song inspired by the loneliest whale in the world. A documentary is coming out about the whale so it's a good time to get acquainted with that song as well because ARMYs are supported that project too.
@krustykrab33773 жыл бұрын
Sometimes BTS's lyrics are pretty hard to decipher since they're very poetic and wordplay-heavy. This song is part of their album, Love Yourself: Tear which mainly talks about the darker sides of love. The song, 134340 is a big whole metaphor of how a person pours all their efforts and love into someone (I just keep orbiting around you) to only to be forgotten in the end. My favourite line was from RM's verse, "Us is just a plural of U" The person on the recieving end only cared about themselves while the giver spent all their love until they had none for themselves. It's really clever but the meaning is pitiful and sad. The giver looses their name and identity after changing themselves for that person. After being forgotten, they feel lost and confused because they just separated from whoever they spent all their love on. The flute and the echo in the background vocals gives out this other wordly feeling and melancholy which makes this song a masterpiece.

I think the easiest way to explain it is if Pluto and the 🌞 had a relationship that has ended. Since they have to orbit like before at some point they have to be closer at some point. When they almost forgetting each other.

I didn't actually see the lyrics about the "one year since" but because this is from their 5th Muster, their more exclusive Fan concerts with other content than just performing and a little talk, I think it could be because the last Muster is one-year apart from the 5th (I'm also sorry if my English is crap)

Such an amazing song that is sometimes forgotten about. So glad you really liked it! They are so amazing in their live stuff and they always feel whatever song they are singing so well. For example (you don't have to watch this) when they sing Pied Piper on stage its * chef's kiss* (Lol that song is about how we should study instead of watching their videos and stuff but how at the end of the day they will be safe space for us to come to and relax)

Think this was 2019 muster maybe. So they were singing a lot of songs from love yourself series and some older ones. Their musters are way more laid back.

I came to your channel for the Blackpink reactions (been a Blink for years) and I have stayed for your BTS reactions. I never really cared for BTS as it always seemed like they were Blackpink's biggest competitor and I only saw a small fraction of their fanbase, the more unfavorable bits. Finally today I have caught up with your BTS reactions thus far and I can't wait to continue this journey with you. Watching alongside you has changed my opinion on BTS 180 degrees. Like you originally thought, I figured there wasn't much to their music, it was just feel good stuff. I've now come to appreciate the feel good stuff for what it was, and the time that it was released in. And now through your reactions and digging deeper into their past and more meaningful music, I have a much deeper appreciation for them and I am proud to declare myself a baby ARMY as well. I'm going to try and go on this journey with you, it only feels right. P.S. Thank you for the great positivity that is your channel in general. I've watched basically all your Kpop and acapella content now and I look forward for more BTS, BP, RV and Twice content avidly!

I love this song also Whalien 52 And my friend laughed when I told her my take on this one.. Like what if another one who shines brighter comes oneday, would the new one replace them in our hearts? It can talk about them and ARMY or another kind of relationship This is just the start of the show and they are going on the 1st break

Each of the rappers writes their own verses. For this song, RM is also credited as the main songwriter from the group. Not only does he write his rap parts, he also writes alot of their songs with JHope and Suga. BTW this song is going into space into 2024! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5CZZmaCdsqHqqc

Nope! This is about a relationship! The members usually specially mention which songs are for army, but if the lyrics are romantic, unless told otherwise, the song revolves around the concept of love of some sorts. BTS are great on how they play around with this topic- ex here in 134340.

148 was RMs IQ when he was tested at the beginning of high school. It’s higher now, though I don’t know the number. I think it might be in the 160s. For reference, Einstein and Stephen Hawking were around 160.
