"UGH" is the sound you make when you groan. This song is about how the world is always angry at something, which sometimes becomes excessive and destructive, ultimately taking focus from the issue itself. Hence why they talk about how everyone is suddenly "morally upright and righteous". Taking this righteous position, people hypocritically criticize and rage at other people's mistakes, ideas, views and etc... Of course, this kind of fake rage can sometimes ruin people's lives, especially in the age of social media. This is what prompts J-hope to say "Anger is fine, but when it damages someone else, I don't like that, stop." Of course, all this applies to BTS because people hypocritically criticize and fake rage at them too, which is where in the end they spoke about "ahem". This sound is something that people make when clearing their throat, so basically representing people who clear their throats and tells them to shut up and not complain when people curse at them because they make a lot of money. Of course, this is ironic and "funny" because these people doing the criticism are hypocrites.

The chorus is a bilingual wordplay. "Na-neun uk-he" does not exactly mean "I say Ugh." It literally means "I am cold" but it's slang for "that bugs me" or "that leaves me cold". And in English we say 'ugh' sometimes when we are annoyed. Another genius verse from President Kim Namjoon.

It's not bilingual at all. It's written in Korean as "나는 욱해". "나는" = "I am/I do/I go", and "욱해" ="to lose one's temper/to get angry". It literally means "I lose my temper/I get furious". It has nothing to do with with "cold". Where did you even get that idea from?

The problem with lyric videos a lot of times is that as soon as the songs come out, eight different channels race to be the first to put a video out so they can get the most views. This unfortunately leads to incorrect lyrics and mislabeling of when members are singing :/ I always tread carefully or just look up trustworthy lyrics online (might not be as easy to follow or flashy as the videos but at least they’re correct lol)

OK so the thing with lyric videos, IMO, it's not bad to check them out (although most of them are EXCEPTIONALLY bad at telling the right members, like they will show Hobi rapping when It's Yoongi, etc.) They are often trying to be the fastest to upload and pay no mind to where they obtain their lyrics from so they're full of mistakes too. Anyway when streaming music to listen to it, I recommend using official channels, but if its just to check out the lyrics for a reaction, a lyric video isn't the worst.

First of all, thank you for your nice words, our boys work extremely hard and I'm sure both of you can tell. Our problem with the colour coded lyrics is that the people who make them post them minutes/hours after the official release. There's like an unwritten rule to not post reactions, lyrics video and anything similar until the first 24hrs because it takes the attention away from the official ones. We encourage all the fans to stream the official videos and to wait before they post their things. Also sometimes the translations and the members parts are not right. The owner of the video you guys watched is actually known for putting out wrong translations, or at least that's what I've seen on twitter.

If you react in the future I recommend to look up the translation on twt by @BTS_Trans their channel name there is Bangtan translations and here on yt Bangtan subs. They always are credible and also include explanations of idioms and cultural differences. Also for audio pls react to the og video. These color coded are often full of mistakes. Anyways UGH! Slaps. BTS lyrics often use Korean idioms, wordplays and Korean references that don't have direct English translation and sometimes it's hard to translate in English so these lyric videos are a bit flawed. Read between the lines I guess? and not take it's literal context.

In the KPOP community there are channels b that make all types of subs for the purpose of advancing fandoms, at large. There are also channels that do subs for specific a groups or particular shows, for the very same reason. And as I'm sure you realize that can be a variety of languages. It's because of how the overall KPOP community, especially ARMY engage in these ways, that BTS and other KPOP groups have been finding their global audience. When they talking about streaming, is what they're talking about taking away views. A lot of KPOP fans don't want reactors or subbing channels to post for 24 hours of a comeback being drop because they believe it will take away from the views of the group. I honestly don't agree, because I feel language draws a artist or group closer with understanding the song. Plus, I don't agree with folks telling someone how to run their own channel. Common sense is if you are a fan, you're gonna go watch and at some point stream.

Actually the problem with these translations is that they try to put it out as fast as possible because they get the most views in 24 hours of the release of the songs. Which is why the translation is pretty bad and the members line distribution are generally wrong . They also most of the time use romantisized translation which is usually off.

jaeguchi messed up who is rapping which part big time... And believe me when I say he is doing it for views, because otherwise he would delete videos with translation errors and who is singing which part. If you react to their lyrical translation, please use BBTS9717 instead of Jaeguchi. Jaeguchi has a lot of error translation and failed to match the voice with the exact members. BBTS9717 has way better translation and you will understand better. Lemoring is good too. We don't support any channel that ignore the after24hours rule..Meaning those translation video should be uploaded after 24hrs BTS songs being released.
