They spoke in Korean dialect in the end, actually in Suga's hometown Taegu(my hometown too) accent: "Hey you, do you know what respect is?" Suga pronounced "respect" in Korean way (리스펙트 ri - s - pec - t in 4 syllables). Namjoon in awkward Taegu accent, VERY politely "I still don't know it." and then Suga shouts "ah, respect(존중 jon joog)? respect (존경 jonkyung, more like esteem)? " RM and suga shout together "respect? esteem?" and .... sorry can't hear the rest parts very clearly. 💜💜

Oh nice thank you so much for clarifying! I wonder why namjoon said it in daegu accent too, as well as so politely. Would that be an indication of irony/sarcasm/satyre?

The rest goes... Suga going "that's what I say by respect, that's my thought.." then Joon interrupts and says "I saw that you're pretty good at dancing." then continued with a slight laughter "You much have practiced.".. I liked the original when Joon says "English is hard."... :)

That whole "BTS caught me off guard with their quality and depth" feeling is called cognitive dissonance. I experienced myself a TON when I first discovered them. My brain just couldn't compute that people that looked like them (a boy band) could actually create high quality music. For me it was almost a year straight of that type of cognitive dissonance.

It's the unexpectedness (If that's a word) which makes people army for life. Its not only a start of something beautiful, but you discover a lot about yourself in the way you perceive them. We learn how much our brain assumes stuff.

You know when asked about what the members mean to each one of them... Namjoon said "Respect" for Yoongi, and Yoongi said "Respect" for Namjoon 💜 and they were not in front of anyone else. It makes you feel about their kind if relationship. They are the members who have been together for longest in th group. And both are from underground rap scene... So there's a lot common in the 2. Thankyou for reacting to BTS ❤️

This is one of the reasons I fell in love with BTS. While everyone now is just doing the same stuff over & over while talking about how old school artists are their inspirations for the music they make BTS is actually doing it. I am obsessed with their 1st 4 albums & songs like Respect cuz those of us how grew up in the 80s & 90s here the true old school hip-hop sound in what BTS does & they are so truly respectful about it.

Pure happiness in the moment the second choreo started, Suga smiling so much, RM breaking with a laugh, and Bryan just completely gone. I had the same reaction first time I saw the live. So Fun! With a great meaningful song. That's BTS for you. Awesome as always, looking forward to the next.

At the end of the live, they are joking around because Joon actually messed up the first dance segment. They do two moves and Joon forgot to switch so at the end of the first part. He says something along the lines of "oh wow, you had some amazing moves there!!!" to Yoongi

I love when Suga and RM write lyrics taking a dig at the society's so called rules and regulations and thus the stereotypes and prejudice that accompanies. Songs like Strange, People, BAPSAE, AM I WRONG? etc. are some of them with deep lyrics exposing the unfairness of society and it's norm. Please check out bapsae, am I wrong? too most recommended. RESPECT here is a word a lot used by Rappers as a hip-hop slang and just thrown every now and then with or without context hence, the choice of the keyword . While as you too mentioned that Respect is a term that's disputable in itself and is defined differently by every other person, thus the confusion behind it's origin and use. I agree with your point of RESPECT is earned and that works both ways irrespective of age, gender, class, etc. still there aren't not many people who consider respect as a right of theirs because of power, position, relation, age or gender etc. Explaining why they couldn't figure out what it actually signifies till the end even after a song long discussion. Thankyou for the reaction.💜

As you probably already know, BTS was originally a Korean hip hop group. Since 2013 they have evolved into a "unique genre of their own". They are all South Korean and sing in Korean/English & sometimes Japanese/English. They have only done 3 All English songs... These are all the BTS “official” music videos in reverse order of release. Does not include live or other versions. 2022-06-10 Yet To Come 2022-06-10. For Youth 2022-06-10 RUN BTS 2021-09-24. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09. My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh. There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

This song is sooooo underrated. Ridiculously underrated. I love it so much. I also think what you said about how you were raised relates to how I personally feel and live my life (I was raised very traditionally in rural oklahoma and similarly taught to respect all elders, etc.): I am respectful. I treat people respectfully. I don’t act disrespectful toward people. But that doesn’t mean I respect them. There’s a difference in how you feel about someone vs. how you treat them. I’ll always act respectfully because that’s how I choose to treat others based on my own moral code. But that doesn’t mean I have respect for them inside myself. I used to teach in jails in the DC area. The jails, not the prisons. So you get a mix of everyone and every crime. I worked with some people in there who had done things that were truly horrific. I can’t say I truly respected some of them. But I always treated them respectfully. How you feel about someone and how you treat them are 2 different things. One of those things reflects on them (how you feel about them) and one reflects on you (how you treat others).

Thank you for your close attention and reaction to the lyrics - the words that theses boys carry gives me comfort whenever needed. It was nice to hear about how you were raised. I was taught early on the difference between values and virtues. That values are just ideas and concepts while virtues are ones that's practiced in action. Respect, honor, redemption, forgiveness ... all these things are earned and not just given.

I was taught: Respect to be respected... and I think it's working til now 🙂 I found very interesting the linguistic comment about the Latin origin of the word, re-spectare... yeah, you don't look twice at something you don't respect...but, at the same time, for knowing if somebody deserve respect, you have to look more than twice at them to decide it

RAPPERS & VOCALISTS SOLOS... BTS has 3 rappers (RM, J-hope, & SUGA {aka Agust D} and 4 vocalists (Jungkook, Jin, V, & Jimin). The best way to absorb each member's style is to dive into their solos, as well as the Rapline & Vocal line performances. Here are some suggestions. While some have MV'S, some are even better live (be sure to find ones that have subtitles cc's) RM : Change ft. WALE mv ; Joke ; Seoul J-HOPE : Airplane mv ; MOVE; Arson ; Outro:Ego mv ; Chicken Noodle Soup mv; HEY MAMA live performance (amazing!!!) Suga : Agust D self-titled mv ; Daechwita mv ; Interlude:Shadow mv RAPLINE : Outro:Tear live at Wembley ; Ddaeng live w/ eng sub ; Uggh! live w/ end sub Jungkook : Euphoria live ; My Time live D2 on BTS LIVE 2; Begin live Jin : Epiphany live ; AWAKE live ; Moon live V : Singularity mv ; Stigma live ; Inner Child live ; Christmas Tree (OST from Our Beloved Summer) Jimin : Serendipity live stage mix ; LIE live stage mix ; FILTER live ; With You (OST from Our Blues) Vocal Line: The Truth Unknown live ; House of Cards live ; Lost Live stage mix ; Dimple live stage mix Just for fun check out their "Ma City" live when they all just broke loose and also have the band GHOST backing them up onstage. STRAY KIDS : heavier in excellent Rap, with very good vocalists. Suggestion of another group to react to: STRAY KIDS. Stray Kids debuted in 2018. There are 8 members and are heavily involved in writing and producing their songs/MV's (especially the 3 original members Bang Chan, Han, & Changbin, aka the 3RACHA). They are known as 3 of the top 10 of Korea's top rappers, along with BTS's RM & SUGA (aka Agust D), as well as some others... members Hyunjin, Lee Know & Felix are also rappers, plus vocalists. Seungmin & I.N are also vocalists, but all 8 are good vocalists... The name "Stray Kids", aka SKZ, evolved to represent the idea of finding a way together out of the ordinary.... Stray Kids songs/MV's suggestions: (my personal favorite is Thunderous.) 1- Circus (newest from their new Japanese album) 2 - God's Menu 3 - Maniac 4 - Venom 5 - Freeze 6 - Backdoor 7 - Miroh 8 - Thunderous 9 - All In 10 - Domino 11 - Red Lights. (Bang Chan & Hyunjin) 12 - Cheese 13 - Hellevator 14 - Sorry, I love you (slower) 15 - Winter falls (slower ballad) 16 - Lonely St. (Slower) 17 - Gone Away (slower) 18 - Waiting for Us (slower) 19 - Your Eyes (newest release, slower) 20 - Charmer There are also some good live performances from their new Seoul concert of some of these songs on the "chan's room" KZbin channel, including Red Lights performed by all 8 members.

Namjoon reflects on the meaning of loneliness in life and death themselves. It's probably one of my favourite songs of his! Also it'd be nice if you could react to that whole mixtape, it's really raw and bold, and it's amazing to see how joon changed as an artist over the years.
