Bts definitely have that good role model image but that came like way later. They started off being the rebellious teens so this mv was in line with their image. Their music has basically grown with them. When they were angsty teens their music portrayed that like in this mv and now theyre mature adults which their music portrays now. ❣️BTS debuted as a Kpop group, that dared speak up for the disenfranchised youth. Since their first song! Daring even to get blacklisted at the time, for speaking up about things that weren’t allowed to be talked about. To this day even if one gets psychiatric help, it’s a black mark, that still goes in one’s records. BTS spoke up, using their platform, to tell ppl to follow their own dreams, to never give up, rather then live the lives society as well as many own parents put extreme pressure to do what was expected. Suicide rate to this days is higher in S.Korea then elsewhere. BTS songs gave ppl hope for the first time in some cases! The whole HYYH era, represented the angst, frustration, some of the problems many youth had to endure in one way or another. Was one of the few times shown some of the not so pretty, ugly reality. Rather then the fluff that most Kpop groups were singing about. Though there have been a few others that have spoken up as well,that BTS had as their role models. Like Seo Taji & BigBang. These particular songs show that regardless of the troubles one has at home, being amongst friends, a support group to share feelings with make all the difference in enduring. There is still a positivity in seeing how BTS representing adolescents enduring through it all. Pretty much all songs that BTS were involved in, one way or another, especially writing lyrics, have so much depth, meaning as well as many quite inspirational. During the pandemic, BTS were willing to go outside their box and release a song for the first time that they didn’t write, compose or have much to do with, which was “Dynamite”. They ran across this song shown to them, and since it was such an uplifting song, decided to release it as a first for them all in english, to try to share with the rest of world. To give much needed joy at a time it was so needed! At the time they had now idea it would do so well! So they followed up with “Butter” & no more “Permission to Dance”. (Which at the time was released believing that the pandemic was almost at an end, but alas, another wave of Covid spread once again, but still an uplifting hopeful song addressing the pandemic situation. But these songs are all so not the norm for what BTS was all about. It happened mainly because of the pandemic. So these songs, don’t really have the depth, the meaningful, inspirational lyrics that BTS were known for. One just needs to listen to MOTS:7 album to see the difference. Which was the last album released before the pandemic. 🙏👍😍❤️‍🔥🔥

I need U is happiness hidden behind the saddest moments and Run is sadness hidden behind the happiest moments. In I need U we can see that they’re all suffering and dealing with different struggles in life but when they’re all together they are their happiest version of themselves and in Run we see them being rebellious, partying, drinking, fighting each other, doing crimes, etc They think they’re happy because they’re young, wild and free lol but we still can feel the pain and misery that they’re dealing internally. Anyways that’s how I interpreted these mvs and sorry for any grammar mistakes English is not my first language.

BTS’ dance practice mainly focus on stage dance performances. Their video can be fun and dramatic with storytelling. Where is the creativity if music groups only dance in every video? Please look at BTS as traveling on a winding road. They can stay on the main road with dance and give fans joy but they lead fans on a beautiful journey through twist and turns..meaning fans can never know what to expect in their videos but we will know it will be amazing.

Oh Jody, I felt your pain. But don't worry, these are just characters they're playing. I haven't fully delved into the storyline, but from what i have gatherered, they're playing a group of friends who eventually all fall into their own pitfalls and deal with their own traumas. It's about the loss of the innocence of adolescence and the struggles of navigating adulthood with all its hardships and temptations. When you see it in the meta sense it's actually quite beautiful what they've done telling this story. 💜

And thanks to this they were able to break barriers in the kpop market and really began their success. Don't listen to anyone that tells you this was in any way reflective of BTS as a group or individuals please. They would be 100% wrong. Unfortunately you all have enter into the BU (the Bangtan Universe) without knowing it. This video, like the last one "I need you" set the stage for the fictional story lines that runs through BTS' music until the album Map of the soul7. Each member plays a fictional character going through different struggles that young ppl may face at different points in their life. There are books, music video, there was a video game that just ended, webtoons, etc. and the storyline is deep and rich. Don't worry, the boys are a sweet and nice as you've come to know them to be. BTS often tells stories of youth and things others and themselves are going through, but when it's about them it typically is about their difficulty with handling being who they are and they people who attack them constantly. Suga will talk about mental health quiet a bit in his solo work because he has struggled with that, but BTS rebels with music and lyrics, not in anyway resembling this video. I do love watching you all. Also, I loved watching Jody get emotional about his poster. It was the "why am I happy" for me. You were happy because Jimin brings you joy just like he does for a lot of us who bias him and the rest of the members. Enjoy being happy. I feel good.

It are maybe ideas that origin from their most inner self and they are able to express it artistically through their fictional storyline. They never actually did anything rebellious.
