We know that's not what they mean. There's makeup for the stage or camera, but the makeup that's making people not familiar with it is beauty makeup. Beauty makeup doesn't just make sure you don't look washed out under strong lighting, but it enhances/highlights/decorates your features. Newscasters, as you say, wear makeup, but they don't wear eyeshadow like, say, Jimin does in BST. That wasn't just to look decent, that was to make sure nobody can Jim-out. 😂

I'm a man, 34 yo, I love old rap, rock and metal, And I never thought I would be able to like BTS songs. Sometimes you have to put your prejudices aside to discover good surprises. They sometimes have lighter songs made for the general public that I do not like, but they also have a lot of deep songs and it is clearly not made for young girls. I think you have to listen to the good ones to understand. I really recommend you to react to the rap line first : - RM JOKE - RM CHANGE (feat Wale) - RM SEOUL - RM FOREVER RAIN - RM MOONCHILD - (Suga) Agust D BURN IT - (Suga) Agust D DAECHWITA - (Suga) Agust D HAEGEUM - (Suga) Agust D AMYGDALA - (Suga) Agust D THE LAST - Jhope ARSON - Jhope MORE - Jhope PANDORA'S BOX - Jhope WHAT IF - Jhope DAY DREAM And the 3 rappers together : - Cypher medley live (this video) : BTS Cypher Medley (ft. I have to educate you guys a little bit on the whole make up thing: if you think warren g, 50 Cent and even Biggy didn’t have stage make up/ were straight out wearing foundation during video shoots, you are very wrong. The only difference is, that they didn’t do eye make up. Foundation and concealer it’s all there. Otherwise Film and stage light will wash you out as well. Correctors such as undereye peach colours are very common too as they cancel out dark circles otherwise Rap artist, are usually wearing sunglasses. And there are like 100s of levels in texture and pigmentation you can chose from in order to get the „natural“ look. Snoop also definitely uses setting powder and has tinted lashes, or at least waterline eye eyeliner in a lot of videos. Just a quick reality check. The hypocrisy is real. HOWEVER, I personally think wearing make up or not wearing makeup defines you as an artist. It can just be self-expression or boost your confidence. Hip Hop is a movement and targets social injustice, the „decorations“ are secondary (so in a way BTS is a lot more Hip Hop than a lot of „Hip Hop artists“ these days, who purely focus on flexing). Tupac always feared, that people would copy the T.H.U.G life persona and wear his shirts/ style without really understanding what his definition of „thug“ was and why it was necessary for him to „provoke“ and stand out. He also hated the „follower“ mentality and deciding what people have to wear and to do in general. Gotta keep your head up. PS: Michael Jackson had vitiligo and sun allergy which is one of the reasons he „bleached“ his skin. He did get a nose job though purely for appearances, but according to his siblings only after a decade of their father Joseph Jackson bullying and beating him for his „big nose“. There is a reason why Michael made a bunch of songs about his dad and why Joseph appears as a gross canine counting money in one of MJs videos…

Let me school you younguns. Army don’t care about your sexuality. If you are a secure man, you can appreciate another great looking man and not be gay. The Jimin Effect is real. Toxic masculinity has distorted things to the point that s*it that don’t matter is upfront. Historically, men wore makeup and earrings before women. Seriously, BC before Chrst. Prince started out with all Blk fans. Do Me Baby, Controversy, Adore. Prince didn’t become crossover until he made the movie Purple Rain/song. He wore heels, but Prince was involved and married to some beautiful women. He could easily pull a woman wearing a perm prettier than ours, boots with heels, makeup and really no one talked about him being gy. His song controversy was just that. His music was so suggestive Okay, the make up. Ya’ll it ain’t that deep. News casters get powdered up before going on air. Anywho, The creators of K-pop got the idea from MTV back in the 80’s. Some European artists back then wore makeup- like mega group DURAN DURAN. Also, ancient K, Egyptians, NA wore makeup. Makeup had meanings other than femininity. Warriors. K-pop vocalists are called IDOLS. They are suppose to be someone you want but you can never have. They don’t need to have acne and basically f up skin. They have to have great skin, weight on point, not to thick. SK developed makeup for men. The idols and actors have to have flawless skin. They are always photographed and after debut they performed live weekly. Just a note, Michael did not have vitiligo when he was young. He is not a good example for anything other than his artistry because he had issues about his looks. He could have wore makeup that was close to his natural beautiful skin color, but he went clown YT, destroyed his face. Thank you guys for your interest in our guys. I need to send you a link that shows your friend that your reaction to Jimin is normal. Gay no. Just the Effect. Your energy makes me smile. Somber dude watch V, other new video. You both will love it. His album comes out in September. 🙆🏾♀️🫶🏾💜

Thanks for reacting to this BTS Guide. Just to clarify though, it’s not that Suga rejects femininity or homosexuality or anything else and is cold because he learned that from black rap. Absolutely agree with you. Those comments did make me feel not a little uncomfortable, because I think they do misunderstand not only Suga but also a lot of Korean culture. Korean men can be very phlegmatic, and especially the older generation. Suga has described his dad as pretty tight lipped and said they hardly talked when he was growing up. He was a man of his time and place - hard working, working class and ... quite hard. But while Suga and his parents had their moments I don;t think he ever felt unloved. or felt he did not love them. That was plain the first time he saw them at a concert, threw himself into a deep traditional bow and collapsed weeping, because he knew that for the first time he had their approval. Suga could not express the love and support he does for BTS and fans, or write the lyrics he does in his many rap verses, if he was following a kind of "learned expression" from American rap. That is not his story, and if he tried to do that he would be fake. Which he is most emphatically not. His rap is direct, sometimes brutal, sometimes controversial, but always honest and real. His rap comforts ARMY and tells us to be kind to ourselves and to each other.

Rm and suga were not into the make up stuff cuz of it tho , and didn’t respect idol music or idols in general specially “idol rappers “ they literally talk about in their rookies songs , but they grew and accepted since they learn other idols and realize how hard is to be an idol cuz of the schedule and everything.

He literally said his personality is like that because he learned it from his KOREAN father. He's what Koreans describe as "tsundere" (hard exterior, but soft interior). I get that hip hop had a big influence worldwide, and within BTS, but you guys are applying it's influence way too heavily to the individual members...they have their own culture and personalities outside of hip hop. RM even has a song talking about how he isn't a whole bunch of things...hip hop being one of them.
@cg558 Жыл бұрын
@@Maraaha55you're forgetting a lot of statements he made in interviews early on here. He definitely made multiple comments attributing his personality and early overly masculine style and insecurity to both influences. Music is Yoongis life and Hip hop was the basis of that love. It's not an exaggeration to say it had as much influence on him as his family. He clearly learned that the masculine posturing of hip hop isn't a requirement for authenticity and dropped and even spoke against it in time but he and RM both struggled with these expectations early on.

Fellow American here (56 yr old grandmother) and I’m absolutely willing to give you guys a chance, but I’m disappointed that you continue to obsess over makeup and sexuality. Just…why? You spent the vast majority of this video talking about it….AGAIN. I just want you to start focusing on the music and their artistry. We are all humans and until we stop it with trying to find any kind of division possible, we’re never going to achieve what’s possible for humankind. Suga has actually come to love dancing now. He’s been taking lessons on his own during this past year. He’s also become much more openly affectionate over the years and he loves his brothers so much. He cried uncontrollably during the last day of his sold out world tour earlier this month as he sang about a best friend from his youth who got hooked on drugs and went to prison, about his promise to be there to support younger idols coming up in the industry, and about finally overcoming the mental health issues he’s struggled with since his teenage years. ARMY try very hard to follow BTS’ example of learning to love ourselves and others without prejudice. However, we’re human too and sometimes we get upset when we do try to educate, but it seems to not resonate. I do think you’re trying. It’s a shame that “masculinity” has such a narrow definition in the west and you guys are just a product of this particular culture. I promise I’ve suffered in my own life because of toxic masculinity and it’s probably why I’m so adamantly opposed to it now that I’m older and wiser. I truly hope you guys decide to use your reach to improve this world. That can only happen when we all begin to focus on what we have in common as humans, as well as, allowing our fellow humans to be happy by being their true selves. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Makeup on stage and flashy clothes don't make them less masculine but their kindness, compassion, showing affection to each other and making the world a better place makes them much more masculine and lovable to us. toxic masculinity just leads into misogyny... theyre fine with women wearing makeup because they see them as weak and inferior, the only way for men to feel better about themselves is to stay away from that. so when other men do those things they have to call them something (usually gay... but anything else to also make them inferior.) but then also they won't date women if they look "ugly" without makeup but bash women who wear "too much" makeup.. yeah i can't stand those people.

Don't worry you have what we call the Jimin Effect, there are videos on it, you aren't alone there. 30+ percent of Army are male fans. Suga and Jin are introverts, they can be shy, but Suga is also known as the Savage King or Lil Meow Meow (has the habits of a cat) including no touching. They all have dualities. Check out Raplines song UGH, Outra Tear live, Cyphers 1-4 and Medley live. Vocal line House of Card, Piped Piper, and Dimples.

Suga once described KPop as 'integrated content'. So it is a combination of the crazy hair, the makeup, the high fashion, the dancing and the high quality videos/performances. You need to throw out the american/western ideas of a particular look must make you LGBT. This look is not a BTS thing, it is a Kpop thing and a I would say BTS are actually pretty tame when it comes to make up and clothes compared to other groups! Also, it is not unusual for younger men in Korea to actually wear light make up to brighten their skin, it is not a big deal. It is just something you don't really notice or care about after a while. We are too distracted by their amazing music!💜

Very well said. 👏 And I'll add that in fact almost all artists, including western ones, actually do wear make-up to different degrees on stage.

Your blending to cultures together. Hip hop and South Korean. Suga is his own person, he doesn’t copy, he’s just not as affectionate, but I can also say he is, because BTS does pull that out of him because they have been together for so long. They are family. He has his moments, there was episode on their show, where he held V’s hand pretty much the whole game they were playing. He is that way with the three youngest members, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Because in Korean culture the older one help and take care of the younger ones. Just like you would do with a younger sibling. Korean culture is different, it’s not uncommon to see friends be affectionate towards one another. It’s not sexualized, but they are more touchy feely towards the same sex, because in Korean culture, there isn’t a lot of contact (touching, hugging) with the opposite sex lie that. They don’t do that stuff unless they are dating for a while, or married. They even keep all that touching stuff for when they are at home, they are very conservative about relationships between men and women. They, Koreans, express themselves with touch, which we as Americans are not used to seeing that. But on the other side, they say we are more open towards a hug, arm around the shoulder if we have just met someone. The touchy stuff in South Korea doesn’t happened until you really know someone. Once that happens, there are no boundaries, touch is not associated with sex, it’s just expressing how much they care about each other.💜

@Just Not Anime, guys BTS started out in a very small K-pop agency and in 2014 they went to LA to be more specific :Compton to learn about hip-hop not just how to project it but to know the roots and they were mentored by Warren G and Coolio ( RIP) This was a reality show by MNet and BTS ‘s agency BIGHIT entertainment , Two weeks in July 2014 they learned different ways of rap and hip-hop because in the very beginning they started off as a hip-hop group. BTS changed into different genres of music they incorporated hip-hop and rap with their music and most of them including RM who was the first member of BTS and Suga write most of the lyrics to their songs! And yes they have collaborated with other Western artist in the United States they collaborated with Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, Juice WRLD, MAX, Halsey! They are the biggest group in the world right now you may say that they are The 21st century Beatles but I say they are The 21st century BTS😊👍💜

The great thing about BTS and K-pop culture is that they do not feel their masculinity is threatened by looking good with their makeup, jewelry, and clothing. Knowing that their gender is not defined by that and they present themselves to their followers in the best way possible. I feel like there is great respect for their fans and their own performances. They do not need to be clean-faced and poorly dressed or unkempt to define themselves as men, because really, those things do not define a man or a woman. Nothing worse than stereotyping people and limiting and criticizing them based on personal limitations. The world is very big and diverse, full of different cultures and new, less limited ways of thinking, fortunately. Understanding and respecting it helps us grow as people. It is understandable that difference scares and challenges our own conceptions of the world. Here's to the good changes that open mentalities and elevate them by putting interest in the things that really need to be put beyond appearances. Love from Argentina. Del, 53 years old.

36:56 lol i love that y'all did Jin's super tuna dance lol, and my guy with the big beard doing his best to sing "tuna!" As he did it haha, that was awesome ty for that. 💜 Eta: you should tell the guy without the big beard that its ok to appreciate someones beauty, or handsomeness, regardless of gender. That doesnt make you gay. You can look at a dude and say, yeah hes undeniably good looking. I appreciate big beard guy for being able to confidently appreciate jimins beauty, and you can tell hes secure in his sexuality enough to even joke that he'd "smash" lol. No hate or anything to the other guy. 💜 Also, these guys are a family, brothers. So if you see them cuddling each other, or tickling, or saying terms of endearment to each other, think of them like an actual family. They were all kids when they met in mid to late teens. Basically raised together. Obvs idk nor do i care what sexuality they are, but even if they were gay i doubt they'd look at each other like that because they consider one another as family 😊 Lolol i loved when big beard (im so sorry idk yalls names lol 😬) started singing about eye smiles when jimin was on screen. Hes known for his eye smiles, when he smiles his eyes scrunch up and form tiny eye smiles lol) Ok last edit lol. 57:36 i dont consider toxic fans as part of *ARMY* , theyre just fans. Real ARMY imo, try to emmulate the values and message of BTS. ARMYs should be kind and respectful, even in the face of hatred and ignorance. You'll never change someones mind with vitriol and hate. If a reactor is disrespectful or ignorant, educate them in a kind and respectful and empathetic way and help guide that person. Respond as bts themselves would. Dont just passivly take it but dont be a dick either. Educate if theyre just ignorant, etc. Even the person has "toxic masculinity" like i saw in another comment, or a little homophobic, instead of yelling at them, educate them. Give examples of their behavior and help them see how what theyre doing is wrong, and give advice if you want. But just yelling at someone is just gonna make them defensive and they might give up on bts. We dont want that, ARMY would love for everyone to like bts, and for people to change and grow as a person. Real ARMYs, imo, care about others and try to make the world a better place and themselves a better person. Youre not going to achieve that goal if you yourself are commenting hatred. So there are toxic people in every fandom. The bigger the fanbase, the % of toxic fans will also be higher. Hopefully theyll someday learn to be kind especially in the face of hatred or xenophobia etc. You catch more flies with honey... Even if you guys have made statements i disagree with, say something off-putting or that i even find mildly offensive, im not gonna roll up in the comments and pop off. I'm continuing to watch because i want to see your progression, and growth. Bts has the power to change people and the world. They changed me. Im 50 and pre bts i didnt truely love myself. I wasn't especially kind. I wasnt necessarily mean either. If i liked you, id be your most loyal kind friend. If i didnt know you, you were a non entity to me, i didnt care at all. If i didn't like you, all bets are off and stop being nice. Now, thx to bts & ARMY, ive learned to have empathy for my fellow humans. I try to care about and be kind and helpful to everyone I can. Everyone is going through something, and a kind word, a compliment or a smile can help someone have a better day. 💜

You guys are completly wrong about hiphop.... Insane.... You should go study more the culture, hiphop has absolutly nothing to do with the macho culture, you just have to be authentic and true to yourself and to your audience. In a article back in 2015, when RM was asked about the meaning of hiphop, here's what he said about what Warren G teached him and what he experienced (and I completly agree with him): "I wanted to ask Warren G a lot about hip-hop. Like Warren G stated, things like ‘shooting guns, doing drugs, robbery’ aren’t things that are hip-hop itself, but a negative side that’s included within hip-hop. It’s like an uninvited guest that shoved its way into hip-hop, but people said that that’s hip-hop. He also told me that hip-hop is something that’s open to everyone despite what race you may be or what language you may speak. I heard a lot of great things from him besides those as well. Although it may seem like a very obvious thing, but the weight of it just felt different when Warren G said it. And after everything he would say, Warren G attached “It’s all Good.” When I heard those words from the side, then my mood felt really good. Should I compare it to the feeling of a grandfather telling good stories next to you (laughter)." In another interview he said: "Defining hip-hop is the same as trying to define love. If there are 6 billion people in the world, then there are 6 billion definitions of love, and like that, each definition of hip-hop is different for each person. Of course, it’s possible to give a dictionary definition. In 1970, there was a person called DJ Herc in South Bronx. At a party that he was hosting, he set breaks on a beat and during that break, someone would be rapping, someone would be dancing, and someone else would be doing graffiti… That’s how hip-hop was born, and they call that the 4 elements of hip-hop, but dictionary definitions like these is something anyone knows, but to explain that spirit… In one word, it’s something that can’t be explained. It’s a way that expresses me as well as being a meaning for freedom and rebelling. Because it’s something where people play and have fun with, it can have messages of peace and love placed in it. If you compare it to a Pokemon, it’s like a Ditto. Personally, hip-hop to me is the world. The world that I’m living in… It’s difficult, right? To be honest, it’s still hard for me too. The culture of shooting guns and doing drugs is not the actual self of hip-hop. It’s just become a by-product that appeared around hip-hop music, it’s not the actual self of hip-hop. Although there’s a certain image that pops up clearly when you think of hip-hop fashion, that’s also becoming something that’s more broad. Look at A$AP Rocky or Kanye West. They don’t wear pants that drag around any more. To understand ‘swag’, you need to understand what kind of meaning ‘making it on your own’ has in hip-hop. Making it on your own is a very cool and important concept in hip-hop." You guys have your own definition of hiphop as you have probably your own definition of love, but that is not a generalized definition, its just yours and I have to admit its a sad definition

I want to watch your videos but y’all are focusing on the wrong things. Again, the toxic masculinity has to go. Every artist in the world, in every genre, wears makeup onstage, in music videos and at award ceremonies. You can’t say your “secure with your masculinity” and then right after say something that completely contradicts that statement. You may not want to admit it because of whatever reason but as a human being you know If another human being is attractive or not regardless of sex. I see a lot of other comments below which have excellent explanations of hip hop and the backstory. Its supposed to be inclusive. All music is supposed to be inclusive. I really hope you continue to react with an open mind. Stop comparing things to the West. It’s just going to put you into a box with that way of thinking. You also need to keep in mind that their phrases may mean something different then ours. They are brothers. They’ve been together non stop for 10+ years. They love each other and they show affection toward each other (which is completely normal in many parts of the world, including the western world). Just be open. Be respectful. Pay attention to the music, the beats, the Melody’s, the lyrics. They are more than just attractive men. They are multi talented and great human beings. I hope you two are doing reactions because you genuinely want to learn and find new music. Not just for the clout.

Men wore makeup before women did. They invented it for themselves. Ancient Egypt As early as 4000 BCE, men used black pigment to create elaborate cat-eye designs. A few millennia later, kohl eyeliner, green malachite eye shadow, and lip and cheek stains made from red ochre were also popular. I love a pretty man, just sayin. BTS has always been respectful of black culture and hip hop, they show it. When they got Democracy they were introduced to western music. They are were also influenced by MTV, MJ and listen to all genres. I love their style. Tks guys.

I enjoyed your reaction, ❤ just keep a few things in mind: Your ideas about Suga were completely wrong. He's an introvert and not very good with showing affection in general because of the way he grew up. But the more content you watch, the more his personality shines and he's very loving to the members, even if its not through physical touch. He even has a few songs where he explicitly includes both men and women. The whole of BTS are very jokey with each other but if it might bother you guys to see them acting "gay" with each other or others than just consider before posting, and you get more angry Army up your asses 😂 Most importantly Korea is VERY different in terms of men interacting with each other than in the west. In Korea its normal to show pysical love and affection to your male friends, just like its okay for girls. Sadly a lot of people interpret that as immediatwly being gay but i find it so sad that men are seen as people who need to be strong by themselves and cant show any type of love unless its to a woman. It might not be for everyone, but even if they are gay that should be fine too. Lastly, you really need to prepare if you decide to jump more into kpop in general because its a very different feel to western music. Makeup, fancy hair and clothes are not mutually exclusive to femininity and being gay. Its embraced as a form of expression and performance so you might just want to keep that in mind. Stay healthy and happy. ❤

Thank you guys for reacting to this. I'm not surprised some ARMY jumped on you guys for certain comments because that's the nature of any fandom online apparently. Some of the mean comments though are from fake armies (people from other fandoms who have nothing better to do than try to make ARMY look bad/crazy) so that's one thing to keep in mind. If you watch the BTS Hardships video someday, that would give you an idea where that comes from. I'm going to say, though, that it sounds really ignorant when people comment on any performer of any kind wearing makeup. Anyone who professionally goes in front of a camera is going to wear makeup. That's just how it is; whether rock, pop, hip hop, acting, even sportscasters... it varies whether it's more noticeable or not, but it's always there. (I can bet you any big rapper you can think of wasn't/isn't 100% bare-faced in music videos no matter how tough or macho they tend to present themselves.) Has nothing to do with being gay or female and everything to do with looking good on camera. With K-Pop, the reason men wore makeup from the beginning is because in Korea it was seen/presented as more of an offshoot of theater rather than strictly music, and in theater, makeup also has absolutely nothing to do with gender or sexuality and everything to do with creating a dramatic appearance for an impressive performance.

Sorry guys but there is a LONG list of western artists (black hip hop ones too) who NEVER performed on stage or filmed without makeup: MJ - he wore make-up and not just for ‘medical reasons’ (eye make- up) Prince James Brown David Bowie Mick Jagger Boy George George Michael Bryan Ferry Marilyn Manson KISS Alice Cooper Green Day Twisted Sister Freddy Mercury Ozzy Osbourne Any hip hop artist who’s ever done a music video wears make-up - however natural looking - just like every tv/movie actor on the planet. And you must know that r he roots (basic foundation) of hip hop originated from Africa before coming to America (New York to be specific) and make-up was (still is in some tribes) a part of tribal traditions in men; the men were well-known for painting their faces - whether it be for war or not. They pierced their ears and bottom lips with disc-like adornments too. Make-up and men go very far back in history.

Disagree with the Prince comment. I was fortunate enough to see the Prince Purple Rain tour and his soul R&B roots are more pronounced in his earlier albums. Make up is worn by ALL performers that go on stage. BTS members like American artists here do not wear it off stage.

But nowadays, even the "manliness" of men will wear at least a touch of makeup on stage/tv/etc. No, I'm not saying that's a everyday for them, but it's not that foreign of a concept imo. They had a record deal at that point. They were in the US to learn more about rap and promotion(busking).

I'm so happy to know that you have an open perspective of the fandom and understood that not all of us are bad! Yes, I admit there are toxic fans and also solo stans in the fandom. So, please don't ever be discouraged to find out more about the boys because they are really good people who show nothing but love for their fans both good and bad but they always encourage to spread love not hate!! Thank you also for showing so much love for Jimin because he is usually the one who receives more hate than most!! Still to this day as well..ppl try to find mistakes in him and make a big thing out it even if it's nothing to fuss about!! But don't get me wrong all the boys get hate no matter what which I never understood why!! Haters come from other fandoms because they are jealous of their success within Kpop!!! 💜💜💜 borahae 💜💜💜

I'm sure you've had comments already addressing how different their culture is from the western culture and both of you are more well versed in the hip hop culture than I am. I will say though, K Pop is only label, these seven young men are extremely talented yet humble. They do respect and acknowledge the western hip hop culture, the Hip Hop Files (i believe) is them acknowledging and respecting the hip hop artists that came before them. They are also, probably the very few in K Pop that really know the history of hip hop, they've studied it, they pay respects to the artists. I've never seen a group where EVERY single member is that talented, that each of them can have a very successful solo career, east or west. Every single one of them have and continue to work hard to continually grow and improve their craft; singing, dancing, writing and producing, they are also ALL educated. Looks, only the very surface of what these young men have, they are what people would say, they have the WHOLE package and then some. I'd like to see what group in past and current that have as much talent as them, MAYBE up and coming because they also serve as GREAT role models, but past and present, the only one that I can say, the Beatles and that's the comparison that is used. Much of the K Pop, copies BTS now, the guides, the KZbin shows and much more, which is ironic because K Pop worked so hard to keep them down, but now they're way too big now. As humble and respectful as these young men are of everybody, it'd be nice to see them being treated with the same respect they put out there. TALENT, TALENT, TALENT, no short cuts, hard work!!! I am not ARMY, so just speaking my own opinion. It was a bit hard to watch your reaction, but I did. The same way you're going off on ARMY because of things they said to you, how offensive it is to you, it's probably that offensive to them. ARMY and BTS has and continue to go through A LOT of hardship with both the K Pop and western music industry. You do have a right to your opinion, every body does, but the same "little jokes" and continued comments on how pretty they are and stuff like that, I know I watch reactions to hear about how others appreciate their talent, their genuine love for their fans. Again, speaking my own opinion, I think speaking on and making jokes about a culture without any knowledge, there will be some disrespect, you're not liking it that ARMY got upset with you without getting to know you or your culture, that's all they're asking is, respect. BTS already respects you and your culture. BTS & ARMY have a history, a very hard history. Thank you for sharing and I will watch more of your reactions, just know that, yes, sometimes it's offensive, but overall, I do appreciate your honesty.

The concert that you guys were referring to was a free concert by BTS for 200 people during the Summer of 2014 for a show produced by Mnet called American Hustle Life which taught BTS the ways of real hip-hop by American rappers like Coolio, Tony Jones, and Warren G because BTS was introduced as a rap group when they debuted. Guys, sometimes the translation is not how it was meant to be said. JK admired RM that’s why he joined BTS not because as you speculate and assume that he “fell” for RM.
