I really appreciate that Aneesa was respectful enough to not include the reason for Jin crying. Poor baby really had a rough time of it. In the beginning, they weren't used to the battery packs for the mics and they didn't have the band that goes around their middle to support those at that time. Because of their inexperience, on their first stage, the battery packs were attached to their clothing, rather than a band under the clothing like they do now. BTS tends to wear loose clothing a lot and poor Jin's pants couldn't hold the extra weight. His pants fell down, on stage, while they were performing. One of their first stages, if not their first. For someone that's already very shy, that must have been genuinely traumatizing. I'm honestly impressed that he was able to get himself together and get back out on that stage.

About the love an respect part: that was evident last Sunday/this Monday as well. Hoseok performed at Lollapalooza and the fans got both water and donuts handed out to them. Others who are familiar with that festival informed us other ARMYs that the staff don't really care about the fans and they certainly don't hand out things like this. But BTS has paid before in previous occasions for snacks and drinks, especially when it was hot outside. Anyone can tell me they don't know I exist, because I really don't care. They know they have fans who love them and actively give this same love back. There are always memes on Twitter going around about how ARMYs say they love BTS and then the guys say they love us more, then the fans and it's just a fight about who loves who more and it just cannot be more true. Edit: I just remembered, after a win, I don't remember for what, Jimin posted a picture of him prostrating with his forehead touching the ground. In their culture that is such a high level of showing respect and it's not done for some random person.

Bless Jin. He was crying because there was a wardrobe malfunction during the rehearsal. His pants slipped down. I don't think BTS realized how important they would become to people all around the globe. I am a disabled retired nurse, and am about to lose my home from rising costs. My family relies on the churches for food. There is no way that I can properly support my family on 1400$ a month. I am now trying to move my family in with my father. BTS helps me daily to work through my anxiety and focus on my family. With having Bipolar manic depressive disorder, it is sometimes a difficult task. I was a lost soul who didn’t know she was lost. The first day I listened to truth untold, I cried like a baby even though I knew nothing of what they were saying … They made me understand you don’t judge something you have no idea about, ignorance is not an excuse..Their lyricism gets me everytime .. For Hobi's Lollapalooza performance last weekend... you will witness the unique synergy between Army and BTS. There is a genuine love exchange and something we don't see often in the west. Hobi gave the performance of a lifetime and Army gave their all. Honestly, anything BTS does at this point Army will support in full force and that speaks so much about their character. Very few artist have that strong emotional relationship with their fans. BTS did that through over 10 years of consistently showing vulnerabilities and honesty.

Everyone starts somewhere. For a lot of us this documentary wasn't created when we first joined ARMY. From the minute I joined I started teaching myself to memorize their voices because I learned quickly just how much they changed their appearance for concepts and how similar some of them can look even if it's from a distance. Yet no one can copy your voice exactly because it's unique to you. After that it wasn't long before I had their names, faces, birthdays, positions, etc, memorized. I'm so glad that this documentary was created to show you and all the new ARMYS joining us what they've been through from the beginning. We're always here and willing to talk and teach what we know. This is just the second episode and you can already see how close they were at that point in time. Being sat down by the two members of the group with the most authority (Jin being the oldest and RM their leader) along with a manager would be extremely scary if that really was a serious conversation about Jungkook making a mistake. Jungkook is the youngest and this was celebrating I think his 16th birthday. This is the perfect way to lead into N.O and their second ep.

I feel like one of the exciting aspects of watching The Rise of Bangtan is that we know where they are now and the amount of success they've achieved. We know that their hard work that we're seeing on screen would pay off, big time. And this excitement will only grow as you watch subsequent chapters. You'll see them express joy and gratitude with each new level of success and each time that happens, you'll want to say to them, you ain't seen nothing yet, boys. You'll climb much, much higher than this. Like now, I'm still abuzz with J-hope's recent incredible performance at Lollapalooza and as I watch this episode with you guys, each time he appeared on screen, I just felt a great sense of pride of how far he'd come. And when I saw him together with V or Jimin, I was reminded how V came to the set for his MV shoot and how Jimin came all the way to Chicago to support him.

My heart aches but in a good way knowing they're all past those hardships. It's like Smile Hoya but he's a total pro now. He did it. And he'll be showing so much more. I want to hear more of his craft, I genuinely desire to see him dance on his own music. The cultivation of everything his past self dreamed of, I want to see it. Along with his team. His brothers. It fills me with pride watching them stand on-stage. Being the headlines of the news, having so much recognition, people chanting their name, getting to know their journey- I'm so proud to be a BTS fan. I'm so proud of ARMY. I'm so proud of BigHit. Respect is a very important thing in Korean society. One must respect the older people, those who have more experience than you, and especially those who support you. It's something Koreans grow up with and it is part of their life. In the western world, respect isn't as "important" or used as much as in the eastern countries. That is something I really appreciate and respect in Asian culture, the importance of respect. Something I myself wish would be used more and seen as more important in some western countries.

Hello to both of you guys ! I’m so happy that you guys "get it" , why ARMIES are the way they are, meaning protective about our BTS. It’s been a long journey with them . We’ve seen them grow from youngsters to the adults they are today. We’ve also seen them grow as artists, and feel so proud of them. I’m not only proud of BTS, I’m also proud of ARMY. This fandom is a family, an inclusive family , and it pleases me to know that you’ve felt embraced into the fandom in a positive way. These 7 young men are special , and so is ARMY. We get upset when we are called "teenage screaming girls" , or "crazy", and the worst of them all , "insane". How insulting it feels. It's been a long somebody made me this much interesting on watching how they're going to know bts . Even after knowing them , watching real reactions like you guys, make me feel I'm knowing bts more and more better . For me the most sympathetic yet loving and caring word is "Use me ", when you are going through hardships and if we get a lot of supports and love , it can make us more active to surpass all those hardships but for me when I heard, RM saying "please use bts" that hits hard on me like a 1000W current. It's not just some words but it's a comforting hug ,a big sacrifice, an advice and a big taught they gave me . We can support one by saying, hey don't worry I'm with you, but how many of us can offer ourselves to them by saying, hey ,just use me. Don't know when but I did fell for them. People said to me that it's just an attraction girl, but lemme say this that ,I didn't fall for them as in person at first, I was attracted by their music and the only medium which made me love them is always been music, but when I dive into the ocean of music in search of this treasure called bts ,I found out that im not alone in search of them ,army's were there and when we tried to find them they made us find ourselves. one thing that really shows bangtan's genuine love and appreciation towards their fandom, that i think is very unique to bts, is how they turn down every interviewer who puts armys into the ''crazy fangirl'' box and go out of their way to correct them on their language. they're very aware that their fanbase is female dominated and while most artists with female dominated fanbases do too, bts aren't ashamed of it. they love us loud and proud and that's something i've never seen a male artist, let alone a 'boy band' do with their female fans. it's a different kind of feeling to truly be appreciated and even celebrated by your favorite artist 🥰

To add to the respect to fans part, I think a major factor in their fanbase being female-dominated (not entirely though, you have seen the numbers yourself) is because of the respect and love they give us! I've never seen them disrespect or disregard their female fanbase even when I've seen THEM being disregarded and disrespected because of the exact reason. They are like our safe space where we feel safe (as you said they are our bulletproof shield) and loved. We know whatever happens or whoever says anything, they'll always love us and vice versa. As soon as people normalize being more respectful and sensitive to fangirls as they are with any sports or other "fan", the world can be a better place.

Love all your reactions and how committed you are in giving us great content. If you're wondering why there's always music in the background, well that's because right from the beginning, Bang PD encouraged them to listen to a lot of western hip hop artists. They were also exposed to all sorts of music, which cultivated an appreciation for all genres. That's why their music is so diverse since they have a lot of say on what they want to put out.

I think keeping track of their favorite songs is super interesting! I have always recognized songs here and there but never thought about the inspiration behind them for BTS. That’s dope!

Like how could I not love them? Just look and watch, I recently read in an interviews where Suga & RM kept on emphasis how revising their past experiences/memories helps them to create a better future (related to the Confusion philosophy). I bet they too watched their old videos not just to reminisce but to also learn and see how far they have become in spite of the hurdles. For a high schooler (most of them are back then), they are firm with their principles and values. This of course been supported by their label. They have all clearly pours their blood, sweat and tears to their performance and musics. Bangtan kept on pushing and moving forward. Also look at how RM addressed those hate comments - well put together & articulate (I could not do it) and I agree when you said he is a true leader. I strongly believe the two members, Suga & RM works the hardest especially in their initial years and helps to guide their younger members. These endearing boys shows us how hard work definitely worth it, it is a long way but it will pay off eventually. I could not be more proud of them. Even until today despite their massive name, global popularity they remain humble and stay strong to their values.

I just watched chapter 1 with you. What hit me is how young JK was. When he first started he was 13 ( American age). He has spent half his life with these 6 men Men who were young themselves , they raised him through those crazy teenage years, with some much love and care.

Hi guys, meeting BTS last year was due to the pop-up content on KZbin, I became curious. In all honesty, it was their BTS Run episodes that caught me. Their laughter drew me in, that alone was enough to stay on board and find out more about them. Then V's Singularity.....I have watched that so many times, and added it to several playlists!! The 7 members are colourful and amazing in their own individual right. They are indeed amazing young men, I still cry watching people react to them, it still gives me goosebumps. Seeing their work ethic as teens into their adulthood fills me with admiration and humility. Every chapter draws you in deeper. Thank you for your content.

PLEASE!!!! React to epiphany by Jin of BTS. It’s a stable song that really captures his emotions as an artist. When I first heard the song I was overwhelmed with relief, Jin once said 5 years before that he wanted to improve his range as he was a beginner in singing. Now 5 years later he was also the first member to receive an standing ovation and applause in Japan, which is one of the highest levels of respect as an artist, after performing epiphany. I love you guys. I tune in and watch every week 🫰🏾🫰🏾🫰🏾

I laugh on your analysis why Jin cried during debut. Truth was his pants fell off while performing. He felt embarrass and worried he disappointed people but its totally ok. Oh guys i am dying to see your reaction on RM’s first UN speech. That made me an Army. Hope to see you react on it one day. There were total of 3 UN speeches by BTS now. But the first one, its only RM since he speaks english. That speech hit so hard and change my perspective in life

About the background music, in the start Suga, RM and J-hope, use to insist that they had to listen to every tipe of music they can constantly. V, Jungkook and Jimin have a vast music knoledge because of that, and also is one of the reasons that the BTS discography is so versatile.

One thing that you can't deny about BTS is how they genuinely love each other. Coming from the west, this was so bizarre to me as a new Army. I thought they were faking affection for videos but it is consistently shown through and through. They genuinely care for each other and it's so refreshing to see that dynamic. Just last week alone, seeing Jimin and Hobi's interaction in Lollapalooza is so heartwarming. Speaking of Lolla.. I know you guys are following a timeline but please react to Hobi's performance. It far exceeded everyone's expectations bringing in the highest numbers in the festival's 31 year history. 105k people in attendance, $1M sold out merch, 14.9M tuned in on Weverse worldwide and an undisclosed Hulu views numbers for American audience. It's insane! Plus, you will see Army in full action. Yes, Hobi gave a word class performance but Army showed the eff up! It was impressive!

That is a great idea indeed. Many said their music is not typical Korean. As we can see since debuts years they are influence by western musics (my suspicions because it supposed to be hip hop group so many of the songs they listen are from US where hip hop were born). Thou, they too listen to Korean songs as well, it’s just that those mixtures of both world make BTS extra special (specially when many do not do it like that back then)

It's been 5 years for me! I joined in 2017 during the Love Yourself: Her Era. I got introduced through reaction videos and friends of mine. I also bias hopped from Jimin, to RM, to J-Hope. It's stayed at J-Hope, but I constantly get bias wrecked by Suga, Jin, and RM. Enjoy the ride guys!
