Going into this episode, we were well aware (thanks to many comments and messages from ARMYs) that we’d be getting our first taste of Cypher Pt. 2: Triptych. We considered listening to this Cypher ahead of time, but decided to wait so that we can explore all of the Cyphers AT ONE TIME!

And we are so lucky to be living in the times of BTS…I just hate that it seems like something has happened that they can’t control and even took them by surprise….they were craving so bad to be able to get in front of Army and do concerts and just when things started getting a little back to normal they announce needing a break after just concerts ….we were all on a forced break with life when pandemic happened and this thing with the military is just unbelievable….these guys have done more to help the human condition on TOP of having the most awesome talents ever witnessed….I don’t think they were through with blowing our minds with their talents…..and the LOVE between them and Army is more than than just a fan/celebrity one….because they’ve shown us and allowed us to be a part of them is a bond never before accomplished between a fan and celebrity but because of the “stuff they can’t tell us yet” and the military it just might come to a stop🥹…I got mixed signals looking for rays of hope in their acceptance speeches at the Fact awards recently 🤷🏻‍♀️I just don’t know 💜

RM would read the nasty comments about the members online, when they asked what people said he told them how great they were and did not give the hate message to them. As a leader, he spoke hope, gratitude, and encouragement into their hearts and minds... cuz he already knew their worth and value. Jimin and Tae were in high school together as well as JK. They all have received high honors from college and received MBAs in media advertisement, Producing, Music business, etc... Jin with an arts degree in acting... so these are not dumb boys relying on just their talents... they have expanded in knowledge and honed their skills for life's success. Wonder what the undergrounders are up to now? RM is forever my bias... and then the rest is personal. Jhope/Hobi's mom worked out of the city to support him and his dream growing up, his father wasn't behind him - so this birthday blessing and acknowledgment of his achievement was so touching to him and the members. At a concert once, Tae/V asked his father from the platform to greet Hobi's father in the same row. I think it was his first time seeing Jhope in action. I cry every time I see that clip... that's how it was for me.

When you described their writers block, going from dorm to practice room to broadcasts and then repeat, RM and Suga explained at the 2022 Festa dinner that this is exactly why they have taken time out now for solo projects and for some personal time. And they all cried as they didn't want to let ARMY down. No matter how much we love their back catalogue, Suga said he doesn't want the group to keep performing the same tracks. And RM even admitted that, despite the success of their english tracks, he was feeling a bit lost artistically, which I can understand as they never wrote those tracks. They need some freedom now to live and have experiences to give them something to write about! That is how they will ALL grow more as artists and how we will keep them for a long time, I hope.💜

99% of kpop fans hate Lee Soo Man. He is the reason why idols are not considered artists. He took ideas from the USA and Japan’s entertainment industry and put together a system that takes advantage of kids with the dream of becoming singers while making himself rich. Training dozens of kids and forming multiple groups every year costs a lot of money so if even one of them does something illegal or remotely scandalous the company loses money, that's why idols have to be media trained and they are expected to behave in a responsible manner. I think Big Hit wasn’t that strict but they definitely had some rules, but I think it’s fair since they still were teenage boys living together and the parents entrusted them to the company (no one in BTS is from Seoul so they were all far from home). They invested every single won in this one group but we know that our guys didn’t have to pay it back (contrary to what happens to other idols, years and years in debt).

The previous interview where they got disrespected was an ambush. RM and SUGA were part of a panel of hip hop artists and the show was supposed to be a celebration of something hip hop related. Instead all the rappers and music critics went in on them. Cypher 1 (all of them really)is a response to the general industry, haters and critics. Cypher 2 is a direct response to the rappers and critics at that interview. I could be wrong, but I think in this episode when they made that crack about makeup, it’s after that interview aired and his “friends” were joking with him

Oh RM he really is the president. I respect him as much as I respect any of my relatives. When people say that he is the best leader it is 100% true. He always says such amazing words of support, attention, logical and truthful things that make you goosebumps or even tears. he said: "The leader should not pull from the front, he should push from the back" "If you're not perfect, then you're the exclusive version" “Life becomes more beautiful when you know you have taken out a death loan. HAHAHAHAH!!!! One of Suga's lyrics talk about HIM being "far from the SUGAR" not sweet like sugar..because he is Suga. I thought about that when the two of you were talking about the taste. Watching RM talk about himself and getting teary, it's very heartbreaking...I know everyone must find themselves, they must figure out who they are, BUT not many must do it in front of THOUSANDS of cameras, while LEADING 6 other people trying to find themselves! Working at a company that is about to go BANKRUPT. He could not even go into his room and close the door to be alone...7 beds in one room. I just want to share this one. I saw a documentary about ARMY'S last time and one quote from the docu that I have been thinking about until now, goes like this, "It is not that BTS save me from drowning, but it is BTS along with me until I learn how to save my self". I believe it is also connected from the lyrics of Magic Shop which goes "You gave me the best of me, so you'll gave you the best of you". What I'm trying to say is that, many fandoms says that ARMY's are being spoiled by BTS, and I don't think it is right as they are clearly saying that we should figure out how to use our strengths and never give up our dreams. The proof of existence of BTS is enough reason to be motivated everyday. They can do it, prove that you can also. As Kim Namjoon said, "I'll prove it.". So be it. Believe in yourself as RM did.

The knowledge that RM has is insane. He's only 20/21 in these videos. BTS only got to see their parents maybe twice a year before the break from group activities this year. RM's line "I'm not an artist, I'm not an idol, I'm just me" was later taken and created into RM's verse in their song Idol, the first song I ever heard from BTS. Jordan said the English translation for it almost perfectly near the end of the video. The job of being an idol isn't easy at all and I feel like it really hits in this video when hearing just a few of the rules, expectations, etc, that they have to face on a daily basis.

DaeNamHyup or for short DNH is the group that have been formed before Bangtan. And Bangtan is the original name of BTS in 2010. RM was the member of DNH and together with other guys sitting there. The original members who were supposed to be in BTS are i11evn, HunChul, Hyosang/Kidoh, Yoongi/Suga, Hoseok/J-Hope and lastly Namjoon/RM. The members are supposed to debut in 2010 under the name of Bangtan. But there is a reason why they haven't debuted at that time . 1) The members left the group one by one which remains only Suga,J-hope and RM in the group 2) For the members who left the group they said that becoming an idol is not what they want. Some of them are just not at the right age to be called an idol group . Lastly, Bangtan tastes in music are different from them. 3) When the group is formed, the group is supposed to have around 9 to 10 members where Jin,V and Jungkook are also in it. And Jimin comes as the last member in the group. Also Daenumhyup wasn't the group/ i11evn wasn't the guy who talked about makeup and being a girl. Here he was just joking around as he was RM's friend. It was "B-Free" another underground rapper that spoke sh!t about both Suga and RM, right in front of them in a proper interview.

@@myouniverse0613 about RM not being an idol face wasn't said by DNH. Those were some online comments from other kpop fans. As for the other things about rap, stories that RM wants to convey through his rap and not being able to do it in the early days as the inspiration ain't coming etc because of his tight schedule were the facts and reasons why RM wasn't able to join DNH's mixtape. And the things said by i11evn were facts that kpop industry is a menace and doesn't allow a creative space for its idols. Those were just some harsh facts he stated. But Namjoon worked hard, endured the sleepless nights, pulled all nighter contemplating WHYs, IFs, HOWs and made the impossible possible, also striking off the words said by i11evn and proved that all it takes is the hard work and talent which made him the person and the group he is today.

Namjoon is truly a rare breed! BANG PD saw that at first glance and practically built a team around him. He's wise beyond his years. He is authentically able to to articulate his beautiful views of life. As you guys dig deeper down this rabbit hole, you will see just how authentic Namjoon is towards Army. Watching this series or any of their old content, i noticed that BTS will always keep their promise. I stumbled upon your videos a couple of weeks ago, and I've been loving the depth of appreciation and exploration within your reaction videos. I became ARMY at the end of last year, and so much of what you both see and say are reasons I feel in love and keep falling in love with BTS as a whole and each member individually. The next chapter, Hip-Hop Lover, is beautiful because it is one thing to appreciate the genre and another to be good at it. Chapter 5 shows that BTS truly respects the genre by digging into its roots and dedicating time to exploring and learning from them. You're in for a beautiful ride with this one!

And after all the tribulation, after they showed the world their mettle, they dropped it: Proof (in 3 CDs!) I can only imagine the physical, emotional, and psychological endurance they all have to pull in facing that amount of pressure and all that mocking even from their so-called "friends". Much of the content in this chapter was from the boys' Dark and Wild era (2014), I think. It's so funny and heartwarming at the same time whenever the boys laugh and self-deprecatingly comment about themselves whenever they watch their old videos. One particularly funny moment that stood out for me was the time they were all in stitches while watching videos of this era while roasting Jimin and making fun of RM's "soft-serve ice cream" hairstyle. SUGA was even saying, "I don't believe we had fans back then!"

I wonder what those ugly people think now after RM's success - he has impacted the world with his message and touched nations of people with his poetry, inspiration, and message. Are they still underground? I think Bang PD's nose and eyes are in Daechwita/Suga video as a picture. (re: bang PD in a song but no words) Hey guys before bts became BTS - RM was with like 6 other guys who were all trainees and rappers who quit along with numerous other trainees that came and left... Namjoon held onto a dream and was then the first man of BTS. RM, Suga, and Jhope came in that order. Suga is savage... so when he lets the cute and warm side out BTS members are amazed. BTS found me when I was feeling lost. I just sold my businesses and my dad passed. The transition was harder than I ever imagined. I became inspired by their tenacity and hard work. To touch on the topic of Marijuana in Korea I really suggest looking into the TOP trial (TOP is a rapper of BigBang, Bangtans senior group and one of the many inspirational guides to not just debut bangtan but many idol groups till this day.) The laws on drug use in South Korea are very strict to say the least.

It's a fact, without any doubt that all our 7 boys are prodigies. And together these prodigies made a phenomenon knows as BTS. Jk ain't have rm as his role model for nothing. RM is really deep when it comes to his real self and I'm a 17 yr old person and now a college 1st yr but I started listening to bts 2 yrs ago when I was having a hard time finding my identity (pretty similar to rm) like what am I gonna do in future...I don't have any plans after high scl... .should I even go to high scl or should I just drop out? Then I found RM, he was the one who revived my mental state and gave me a sneak peak into the reality of world with his 'realizing' thoughts. I was so impressed by his way of seeing life. Since then I also follow RM as my role model. I get to learn so much from BTS esp the rap line. Their stories are something which coincides the real meaning of life If one wanna extract it. Not just in life, bts also helps me in my academics. Because of them I started my journey towards real literature and music. Everytime RM recommends something 'even if it's a kdrama' I just watch it coz I have this belief that whatever he say can't be WRONG. It must have had something to get his attention by rm and I always get amazed after watching or reading his recommended books/ arts/ dramas. I thank him for becoming a musician. That's why he is able to inspire thousands of people. Also im 17 so I see a fatherly image in him and respect him a lot. Thanks for existing Kim Namjoon ssi.

BTS used to receieved a lot of negative/hate comments in English but RM would translate it to positive comments to all the members coz he doesn't want them to feel sad, down and demotivated. He keeps all the negative comments to himselg. The best leader ever RM! But when antis/haters found out RM was fluent in Engljsh thry lie low with their hate commebts.

about the members studying, at the time jungkook, jimin and tae were also in high school but they graduated soon after. the members a few years at this point attended namjoon's high school graduation and hobi i think graduated earlier than namjoon, but im not fully aware of his. yoongi and seokjin were both in college at the time but took turns taking jungkook in and out of school everyday. currently, seokjin is in masters or have finished. yoongi is doing masters and the rest are also in college! the last we heard jimin and taehyung have graduated with president's honors from the university they attended!
