8:24 Hearing you guys say blackpink are more hip hop influenced than bts genuinely made me laugh out loud aha. I don’t blame you though, you’ve had a lot more experience with the girls but just to put it out there: bts originated as a hip hop group, two of the rappers were underground rappers, one was a street dancer. Even the vocalists are very invested in hip hop culture and the group was actually mentored by artists like coolio and warren g way back in the early days (as seen in their reality show american hustle life). They write and produce their own music and the rappers actually have their own solo albums which are completely hip hop/ rap. I do like blackpink but I think if you dive deeper into bts you’ll find that the boys have a far deeper appreciation and love for the music and culture💜

There is a version of this song with more Halsey, but they also needed a version to do on tour. Halsey is one of BTS best friends in the Western industry. She is particularly close with Suga/Agust D, who has collabed with her multiple times and spent Christmas at her home in L.A. She calls them “The Uncle Gang” to her son. Suga says she feels like a childhood friend, though they met as adults. She has a song on one of her albums called Suga’s Interlude. They are also very close to Steve Aoki and Chris Martin & Coldplay and have collabed with both multiple times as well.

Many English-speaking reactors tend to react first to songs BTS sings in English or collaborations with English-speaking pop artists. However, I recommend experiencing their early Korean songs first (like "Mic Drop," which you've already checked last time). Especially, songs like "Butter," "Dynamite," and "Permission to Dance," being full English songs, were created with a very poppy sound to bring hope and joyful vibes to many people during the dark pandemic period. Unfortunately, this vibe often leads many first-time reactors to hastily categorize BTS as just a poppy boy band. For that reason, I recommend "On (Kinetic Manifesto Film)" or"Run BTS (not 'Run'.)" for your next. Thank you so much!! I really enjoyed your videos!!!!

BTS are 7 individual, talent, different type of artists (10+ years in industry). They have 300+ (400?) songs includes solos, different units, mixtapes, singles, soloalbums, collabs, japanese/english songs... own variety shows, dancepractis videos, awardshows, live... BTS has been involved their music since begining which was/still is quite rare in k-pop and they didnt start "label polish group" but teens with raw talent and their label gave them freedom to make own sound. Their discography is 400 over songs and you will not find a bad one, they are all good and amazing. They sing in Korean, English and Japanese. Leader Vibe guy is indeed the Leader of the group, RM, Kim Nam Joon, he is a master poet lyricist and a magnificent rapper. OH GOD I CAN ALREADY HEAR THE COMMENTS CLOWNING ON YOU GUYS FOR SAYING BP IS MORE HIPHOP THAN BTS. STAY SAFE GUYS. LMAOOOOO OK. Real talk. Not even remotely close. Not even by a long shot. Not even in a milliion years. But, you guys just haven't ever really listened to BTS before so, I can't blame you. BTS were constantly mocked for doing hiphop as kpop idols, but that never stopped them bc they genuinely love HipHop. They actually write and produce 90% of their songs, the rapline writes all of their own verses, and as a group they decide the theme and concept of their own discography, not their label. "HipHop Phile" (song) is all I have to say.

Keep in mind you guys have only listened to a very small portion of their music 2 songs out of well over 300 songs over the past 10 years BTS has been a group. Bts never repeats itself. They performed different genres of music such as Pop, EDM, Latin Pop, Funk Rap, R&B, Emo Rock, Urban, Ballad and Rap. When necessary, they made songs containing harsh language and criticism, as well as songs during the pandemic to cheer up their fans. They didn't resort to playback and do lazy dance moves on stage like other groups. They always danced and sang live as if it were their last stage. There is no need to explain in detail, I will always respect and be proud of them. (I don't even need to mention that they wrote their own lyrics/produced the songs)

They are very relatable they don't hide from their fans. Their forthcoming with their fans they do lives with their fans they're always dedicating themselves and music to their fans and that is what is endearing about them. I know some of their music may sound a little popish and bubble gumish but they do that for the US media because the media needs them to be Americanized and speak English in order to relate to them. 👈🏼👈🏼 😊

Thanks for your reaction. Usually BTS albums have a sequence or a chronology of topics to deal with... Fans classify BTS's discography as eras (generally made up of album trilogies). Among the concepts they have dealt with in said eras are aspects of human psychology. This song belongs to the album "Map of the Soul"... Which comes after the "Love yourself" Era The meaning of the concept of the album "Map of the Soul" has to do with four versions related to analytical psychology of the book "The map of the soul according to Jung": Persona, Anima, Self and Shadow. Remembering that Jung was one of the most popular psychoanalysts of the 20th century and founder of depth psychology, which is mainly based on what exists between consciousness and the unconscious. Jung coined the "map of the soul" and different concepts to explain it, some of them are archetypes that, as if it were a universe that we carry inside, allow us to draw a map that shows how our psyche is configured (Persona, Ego, Anima and Shadow).. each rapper of BTS has a song for those archetipes (Persona: RM / Shadow: Suga / Ego: Jhope) Without going into so much detail about these 4 aspects of being according to Jung... The Anima is the feminine aspect present in the collective unconscious of men and the Animus is the masculine aspect present in the collective unconscious of women. In other words, we all have feminine and masculine energy, although one prevails over the other in each individual. So in this video the feminine energy present in the members is exalted because they have already connected with their Anima and that is why they are "boys with love". Remember that in general in many cultures men are expected to project a strong, masculine image, which is a sign of weakness to show emotions, especially love or crying, which are "more feminine" aspects. So these BTS albums seek to generate a journey towards the encounter with ourselves and the acceptance of the "I" among them the integration of our polarity, be it feminine or masculine... and for this reason a lot of vibrant tone is used in this video and shades of pink in the color palette of the video BTS is quite a versatile group within K-pop and they are not afraid to explore and play with different genres and concepts in their songs and videos and that is why you will see a bit of everything in their music styles and the image they project Regards from Mexico

The rest of them are learning English, but they primarily learn the English lyrics phonetically. Halsey had never before danced like that, so it was quite a learning experience for her. During the filming of this she and BTS formed a lasting and close friendship which exists until today.

The best thing about them for me is their versatility, there’s no genre of music that BTS hasn’t done and that’s why their fanbase is so huge cause there’s literally something for everyone. I would recommend Cyphers 1-4, Ddaeng, HipHop Phile, UGH, Outro: Tear, Joke by RM, Haegeum & Agust D by Agust D, Arson, More & Chicken Noodle Soup by JHope, and MANY MORE. JHope actually has a song he did with JCole last year: On the street, you should check that out too. Halsey & Suga have also collaborated 2 more times. The latest one is on the song “Lilith” which is the anthem for the game Diablo IV. Y’all should check that out too. The deeper you get into them, the more you’ll actually appreciate their artistry. PS: RM gave you leader vibes because he is in fact the Leader of the Group 😁 Signed: An almost 40 year old 90s Hiphop Head 😂💜

Haha you moving your head with the music, I wasn't expecting that. Love it.
