To the first guy: if the woman being beaten was your sister, wife, daughter, would you call this guy an "amazing guy"? Would you be friends? Honestly, it's even sh*tty that you have to think of it through the lens of sister/daughter/mother because no woman (or man) deserves to be abused like that. Come on, y'all.

I agree with Tammy actually, I feel more comfortable asking my partner than my parents because sometimes parents can make you feel like a burden especially when you’re older and need help. Whereas, you’re boyfriend is likely to already understand your situation and may want to help you naturally.

Im a solid believer of you are who you knowingly surround yourself with. The person who sent in the first story is actively choosing to be friends with someone who has consistently shown abusive behavior. Hes not an "amzing guy", his abuse shows you what and who he actually is. And if their friend group has already tried talking to him about it, and he continues this behavior, you've now become complicit in the abuse since you choose to stay friends. Absolutely insane to me, how someone could type and submit it to the podcast, AND STILL SAY HES AN AMAZING GUY. Makes me kinda sick tbh
@delulucyyy Жыл бұрын
my ex use to talk shit about his friends and how they treat their girlfriends, we use to do it together… little did i know that it was distracting me from the manipulation that lead to his abuse. like company keeps like company. same logic as to why no one wants to be friends with a pedo.

I hope the one in the middle one day can realize what a man should be in a relationship. Yes even though you have money, you should still be able to ask your partner for money because really they should be there to help and provide, esp a man, I would ask my partner before my parents for sure. The parents are gonna turn around and say your man can’t help you? I completely agree with the one on the right.
@Sabrewood13 Жыл бұрын
The first one too many men reward their ain’t shit friends with their friendship. This man is an abusive POS who couldn’t stand up to his friends opinions so goes home and beats on his girl. He blatantly disrespects her in public and thinks his friends are blind somehow. Smh the fact that this dude knows his friend is scum but feels bad for him losing everything even though when he has everything he made his partners life hell smh.

There’s a way to prove your point without making someone feel very stupid. That’s what y’all did to Tammy in this episode. And Tammy is so patient!! She’s honestly a sweet soul how she handled the whole situation!!!!

Hi ladies! I love your podcast and binge it to get me through the day!! Respectfully, I do wish yall gave Tammy a chance to speak without cutting her off. Money is a sensitive topic for sure, but I think Tammy’s pov is valid and hope moving forward if yall do not agree w someone’s POV, you still hold space and time for them to speak. Also financial trauma is a thing and some people will feel safer seeking support from their partner instead of their parents. I hear all your perspectives though, all valid points. ♥️

I think the money debate depends on the kind of relationship-a boyfriend may not be a permanent fixture the same way a parent is. Parents are meant to provide for their children-no matter how old you get, you’re still their child and as long as the relationship is good, it makes sense that they would be the first ones you ask (unless you’re married or something).
@kashinimeyo Жыл бұрын
As a woman whose partner has been in her life more days, weeks, and years than her father- a partner may be better and more permanent than a parent. So I feel like your statement is really contingent on “as long as the relationship is good” because the same could be said about the boyfriend. I mean I just saw a video of a man who has been together with his girlfriend for 45 years. It really does matter dependent on the person
@yosoladavies913 Жыл бұрын
nahh the way you guys “scolded”Tammy on the getting money from her bf over her parents was a bit over the top imo 😂 i think its very subjective. people’s relationships and behavior with money can be very different.. some people prefer to ask their friends over parents for many reasons, maybe you don’t want to stress the parents or you don’t want them knowing your business and financial status.. it could be so many things. Beatrice made it seem like an abomination to ask a friend for money before your parents, i don’t think its that deep. but that’s just me..😅

I get what sis in the middle was saying about going to your parents as a first response cause typically they are usually our safety net. Tammy also had her point. It just comes down to how comfortable you are with your boyfriend? I mean regardless my parents will hear from me if I needed it but so will my partner 😂

10:00 the correct answer for the writer is to keep his mouth shut because he might be visiting his friend in jail if he tells his friend what his old lady is doing. You shouldn’t be his friend and the strongest thing you can do to make him see what he’s doing wrong- is stop being his friend and why you’re not being his friend. “I can’t be your friend because you beat on your old lady” because your friends are reflection on yourself.

Sorry but sis in the middle is being really ignorant w her opinions about asking family vs a partner. Some people are estranged from their family or their family simply don’t got it. Consider yourself blessed you have parents you can lean on!! That is a luxury most don’t have. It’s a lot of shitty parents out here. I didn’t choose my parents. But I chose my partner and he is more generous than anyone in my family 🤷🏿♀️. He’s lucky thou bc when he needs helps he’s able to ask his parents.
@shas9679 Жыл бұрын
I think she may have trust issues with money and ppl outside of her family. In another video she was hot about having bridesmaids and never wanting to ask friends to be in a bridal party. I have a reliable man and friends to be able to ask and them wanting to be there for me in that way. Maybe only her family is that for her. But she doesn’t need to make the other girl feel crazy for allowing her man to be supportive in that way.

I would ask my parents first. Because if we are not married or maybe live together, you are not my first choice. It feels more secure and god forbid we break up, people change and you can kiss that goodbye. Or worse yet, whose to say you using that money for what you telling me you are using it for, sometimes love makes us blind and we don’t see he getting that money for that side piece for all I know.
@kyliea2552 Жыл бұрын
One of you said that 'as his friend, if you know he's doing that to his partner you should not be his friend' and then someone else said 'what does that do'......what it does is provide consequences. If men start to hold other men accountable for their shit behaviour....they are more likely to have a realization like oh shit maybe I am wrong, maybe I need to change. Whereas if the family doesn't say anything, if the friends don't say anything, and the partner leaves then this man can just blame her both in his head and to other people. Once she's out and she's safe, that woman should call his mother and tell her everything.

59:36 ~ NO, he needs to ask his employer for a RAISE or an advanced paycheck. And then he must cut out his subscriptions and memberships because Netflix is worthless compared to your car note and you can gym at home for a few months. Big boy needs to learn to handle big boy money. (Edit) He can also call his financial institution to ask for a loan deferment to the next month so then he has 4 weeks to get his money right, get a second job, etc. and pay for the 2 months on the next due date.
