Mango is absolutely Apollo Creed, and Armada is Rocky Balboa. Look at Apollo's entrance to the fight against Drago in Rocky IV. He comes in dressed as Uncle Sam, with showtunes and fireworks. That's the most Mango entrance ever! In the first film, Apollo is the boastful champion, and Rocky is the random nobody that everyone expects to lose badly. Then, Rocky surprises everyone by holding his own against Apollo, and almost beats him. Rocky loses, but everyone is impressed and takes him seriously. Then, in Rocky II, Apollo and Rocky rematch, and Rocky ultimately beats Apollo, becoming the champion. So to compare, look at Mango and Armada's first meeting: Genesis 1. Mango was the clear favorite, and Armada was the underdog kid from Europe who people were curious about, but thought wouldn't even make it to Top 8. Armada and Mango get to grand finals, where Mango clutches out a hard-fought victory over Armada. Suddenly, everyone takes Armada seriously, and he's considered a great player. Then, at Genesis 2, the rematch occurs, where Armada beats Mango in grand finals to become the champion, and retires years later as the best Melee player of all time. Also, Rocky had a robot butler in Rocky IV, and Armada has a brother named Android. So, if life is going to continue to imitate art, then Mango will lose so badly to a roided-up Russian player that he'll die of hand cramps, with Armada feeling responsible for not telling him to unplug his controller. Armada will the come out of retirement for one set to beat the Russian, and end the Second Cold War with a dramatic speech. In twenty years, Tafo's simulations on ESPN will show that Armada in his prime would have beaten the new champion of Melee HD. This will enrage the champion, and he'll challenge Armada to an exhibition match. Armada accepts, but the Melee Regulatory Commission won't let him play because he's too old. He makes a speech, has a heart to heart with his son, then plays the new champion at the age of 50. He loses, but it's close, just like Genesis 1. Then, Mango's son gets into Melee HD, but doesn't want people to know that his dad is THE Mango. Armada trains him, and Lil Mango goes on to become a top player in his own right.
