@@diafam3662 It's honestly better for Axe to just go Fox, I mean, Axe only ever won a set once, at MLG Anaheim 2014 (Hbox's worst year pre-quarantine). Hbox stops him from progressing in bracket all other times. And let's be real, would you rather see Axe beat Hbox with Pikachu one more time (hypothetically), and then never beat him again, or would you rather Axe switches to Fox, he and Hungrybox go back and forth (again, hypothetically, and also hopefully), and Axe can actually advance further in bracket, as he can now beat his biggest demon of all time who's name isn't Armada

I love how reductive Axe's gameplan really is. If he can get those tech chases consistently, Puff really doesn't get to play at all with her awful OoS options on wakeup.

There’s something Mew2King-esque about Axe’s Fox in this matchup. (And only this matchup.) The downthrow stuff and the second-hit-only upthrow upair and keeping the distance and short hop double lasers… but while M2K didn’t always get it right, here Axe is doing is correctly. Great set, love both of these players! edit: Brandon consistently showing to be a great person to have in this community.

M2K's biggest problem with his Fox, is his playstyle was too predictable, M2K would run to either side of the stage, giving up stage control to Hungrybox for free, and then he would shoot some lasers, and then approach, usually with a full hop nair, sometimes with an up smash, rinse repeat Double laser Double laser Full hop nair

@@Michael-hc2hp M2K rarely found the right balance for this matchup-it would often be complacent and sometimes downright lazy. But I didn’t see many others do second-hit uairs after upthrow like he did!

@@venuswine9905 it’s very simple compared to the tech skill you’d have to have to pull off gimps and KOs like fox does. Doesn’t even really require a lot of thought either.. it was just flying around bair spam, covering multiple group and air options.. then the spam manages to hit fox off and then you fly around and cover the entire edge/off stage easily going wherever you want practically.. just goofy imo. At least very little compared to what you have to do as another character

@@peterparker9042 it is when your character can fly/hover/rising pound and doesn’t really have to think about where they’re going to go or do hard reads cause you can cover multiple options easily
