I remember back in 98 or 99, I was racing at Mosier Valley MX in Dallas Tx, James Stewart was racing the 80 class one night. He was running the same laptimes on an 80 as the pro 250 class (back in the 2 stroke days).

JDGAMER Xx Yeah and they was considered a pit bike or trail bike at that time. They was not on the track or racing in any class in 1999. The YZ400F came out in 98, during that first couple years, most everyone was still on two strokes. In 2001 the YZ250F came out, by then 4 strokes had took over the MX scene.

The seat taking off thing is just to help show them how to race better and to show them the extra stamina needed to do it The falling off part is just joking really altho it does actually happen ocasionaly to people Bubba and his family are ace and it great he helping out the next generation just wish 2 strokes would make a comeback so hate 4 strokes :(

i got a rebuilt 86 CR500R for $380 (needed lots of body work done, but was still the best deal in the world) and its the fastest thing i've ever sat on. I drag raced a yz450f with it and hella smoked it (quite litteraly) and i got an 00 RM250 for $740. so yeah, you can get a bike for far less than 8K. But a brand new $450 will cost you around 8K

well i wasnt really refering to him, i was just saying how much a modern brand new bike is like a 450. because he said dirt bikes are like $400 or more now. a good learning bike would be a Honda XR because they run like forever and are cheap. you could find a good used XR50R for around $300. so not all dirt bikes are expensive

2 strokes are cheaper when you compare them to a modern 4 stroke MX bike. the actual cheapest bikes you could get are bikes like the honda XR. but they arent that fun to ride. i normally ride an 86 CR500R which is a 2 stroke and they are way cheaper than a 4 stroke MX bike

well you must have gotten a new 2011 or 2012 model after the 2013s have come out. the brand new 2013 250Fs are over $7000. and i was mainly refering to the 2013 and newer 450s which are over $8000

Now, a new 450 is about $8000. A 250 is about $7000. A new 50 is about $1000 or more. You can pick up a nice 450 for about $3000 on eBay. A used 250 for about $2000, and a 50 for about $600- $700
