Bubba did nothing wrong other than miss his line which didn’t hurt anyone but himself. He didn’t pit or right hook anyone. He’ll learn from this race and will find himself in victory lane again soon.

I'm an old man and have been watching top level Stock CAR racing since the early 60s which makes it a very big game and in that context Bubba's not even a Speedbump. The Announcers and Nascar have been saying alot of stuff that isn't quite true to push their Diversity Driver since he made it to Cup, But his actions on and off the track and comments during interviews do not add up to all the Hype. Look how many restart Wallace had and he was perfect on every one except the last one. It's still his best year. His racing this car became the story for once. Remember Bubba is awkward with interviews and this one is no exception but for now we see this guy as the driver of the 23 who almost won this thing.

Bubba though a mediocre driver in my opinion, held his line, good job. Kyle Larson should have been more patient; he would have gotten Bubba. There is no driver in cup close to being as talented as Kyle Larson, it just seems like he got impatient, and it cost him today. Real shame too because Larson probably won't make the round of 8, because he has never been allowed to finish at Dega/Daytona because of lesser drivers getting crazy at the end. So Nascar will end up most likely for the 2nd year in a row having the week-in-week-out fastest/most talented guy not in the fight for the championship. Hope Byron wins it or Truex Jr. Hope Bubba/Denny Hamlin both never win a title, ever. Bubba simply isn't good enough in my opinion, and Denny is not good under pressure. 5-6 times in the final 4 for Denny and never a champion. F them both.

im a larson fan, but what a dumb call to not get tires. I think Bubba could have one this race easily, but was told to backoff so Hendrick could get their 300th win. Rick Hendrick is hardly at the track anymore and was there as if he was told they would be given the win.

@@patrickracer43 not sure how that Stat is tabulated. I was always a Kurt Busch fan on restarts. He'd usually be up a position or two after a restart although he might lose it if the car was off for the day.

@@jjashby03 For many of us the only interaction we will have is what we see on TV. I really enjoy Floracing dirt late models as I have met some of those drivers. If I met someone in private who touted themselves as "the best" I'd be put off a bit. Humility is best. Like "I've had the best luck on restarts this year, it just was less than I had hoped for in this last one today." Or such. I enjoy going back and watching KZbin of Bubba at Bowman Gray stadium. I think Bubba can find a place of respect just like the Busch brothers and even Darrell Waltrip. There are some unfortunately, who form an initial opinion and refuse to change it.

NASCAR did everything they could to get this guy a win. The qualifying times were fudged so he had the pole and best pit location. They made sure he had the lead for over 100 laps. Larson intentionally crashed out to give him the win.....but he didn't listen to his crew chief....he made a final bad decision on his own and didn't even tell his crew ("I wanna do this myself! I'm smarter than you!") Now he's below the cut line. All they can do now is pray for rain.

I always wait for the 23 to choke and he never fails too. The 5 had a rocket and he has made that mistake several times. As a Ford fan I’m about to give up. They have nothing for the Toyotas and Chevys.
