This video should be archived in the motocross hisotrical archives forever. The lessons learned are incredible. Those rhythm sections are crazy technical and have so many different lines to run them at different speeds to make a pass.

Honestly i cant get much better than this, perhaps if Chad was at the table aswell. But honestly i almost get emotional because that was my highschool era and the sport that gave me so much, and back in those days we had to wait to download the races to see them afterwards because overseas we did not have the same chanels, so we had to stay away from vital and transworld to not get the results (most of the time) we could watch the race one day after, than read the magazines. By this time now all these years later i think both Carmichael / Stew and Reed knows how much impact they had on thousands of fans worldwide, the sport was at its peak and for me personaly it helped me through some rough years. IT is so great to listen to the best the sport ever had and will have, call me biased but i dont see it the sport ever be the same again as it was in the 90´s and early 2000´s. Thanks for this Bubba.

If you’re talking about revolutionized the sport , and I know he wasn’t on the show but in terms of guys that revolutionized the sport Jeremy McGrath had as big of an impact as RC and JS7 , maybe even bigger. Bringing his skills from BMX and staying low and fast over jumps changed everything. Ricky changed everything with how hard he trained off the bike , and Stewart came in and took staying low and fast over a Jump to a whole new level with the scrub. Nobody even today can scrub a jump like JS7. But the way guys raced until MC came in arguably had a bigger change as far as revolutionizing the sport.

@@ronk6553 James was the fastest ever on a Supercross track. You can watch 05-07 Outdoors to clearly see RC dominance of James and everyone else. Its all over youtube. James beat RC outdoors just a couple of times and 2 out of 3 RC either wrecked or lost a google lense. The rest of the time he either took off and never looked back or he would pass him then gap him. RC fell a few times and still caught and gapped James. And this was when he was on a 4 stroke. You can blame it on the 2 stroke in 05 but not gonna fly in 06 and 07. James admitted in the pod cast RC had him second guessing himself out doors. This was such an amazing podcast. It’s exactly why Ricky and Bubba are the GOATs. PS: James, we rode together at Bithlow in Orlando in probably ~2004? I have a photo of us in a turn. It’s hilarious because we both were wearing exactly the same gear minus the helmet (and bike lol). You came with another guy and he was riding one of your bikes. I think you were driving a Silverado. I really appreciate how nice you were to me. I was a young kid and I looked up to you both.

Something that occured to me while watching this awesome conversation - you cant be competitive (mental attitude) with someone you don't respect. To be competitive with someone that has to be a significant level of respect. I'm grateful we get to see these guys hang out together relax.

From 2001 through 2022 every Supercross champion had been part of the baker training program except for Reed & Eli. So with 2 championships each means 17 out of 21 were

Growing up and watching these guys go head to head was the reason I started racing dirt bikes. So awesome to see these two swap stories about these iconic battles!

Man, I've wanted to hear these two talk for so long. Always wondered what they really thought of each other. Both of them changed the sport and pushed like I've never seen before. We all knew watching that they were riding at such dangerous speeds and got a lot of crap for being out of control or crashing a lot, but when your pushing your body, engine, suspension, and tires that hard, your gonna get out of control. I remember a fellow employee complaining that she hates watching the races since these two won everything but she didn't understand that it was racing we'll probably never see again. Also, they were racing by themselves because no one else could physically go that fast or were willing to take the same risks to win. These two rarely lost and it wasn't in their nature to lose. You are both GOATS in my mind and did so much for the sport in so many ways. Thank you for all the great racing and risking your lives for our entertainment (as bad as that sounds).

Thank you Bubba and Ricky, this is priceless to those of us who watched all those years. I appreciate how sincere you both are and the respect you both have always shown to each other! You both have elevated our sport, have been, and still are, great role models for current and upcoming racers. I hope to continue seeing both of you, being an active part of our sport for years to come, and continue to share your stories with us! You both have given this sport so much! THANK YOU!!!

Best podcast up to date! Much respect to both, especially the part when you said Ricky yourself and Travis change the sport, in diff ways. I’ve been saying that for years. Now every determined racer follows suit. 💯 I’m so thankful to watch you folks do it live!

Two legends of the sport. Thank you both for all the great years of racing. And thank you for staying involved in the sport and sharing a conversation like this so openly. It’s amazing to hear the stories, your shared experiences, the strategy, and most of all for you guys to celebrate the success & memories together. It would be awesome if you did this again and talked about the newer legends of the sport. I’d love to hear what you feel has evolved, what they progressed, and talk about the nuances of their riding.

I’ll add - part of what drove my last statement was JS’s commentary during Budd’s Creek. The analysis was incredible and I’d love to hear the two of you discuss this about other riders. Also what would it be like racing Sexton and Tomac? Totally theoretical of course, but would be super interesting.
