Super cool, and beautiful! I am a reptile-loving person, so when I saw your bubble technique I immediately thought of lizard skin... alligator, dragons, etc. I hope I get a chance to try this, as I absolutely love the results. Thank you for always sharing your skillful artwork with us, but mostly for sharing your lovely personality and beautiful laugh. You always make my day! ❤

Just noticed that you’re close to 100,000 subscribers. That’s so exciting it would be neat if you could do a live rock painting session to celebrate, so that we could all celebrate with you. 🎉❤

So cool! Love it! It does look like scales, totally gonna have to try that on a dragon eye. The scales are hard for me because my brain has this need for them to be perfectly spaced, sized and aligned...its exhausting. I have banned myself from Mandals for that same reason. Thanks Rachel, you Rock!!

OMG I love this technique!! Yes, on dragon eyes, hummingbirds or lizards would be amazing. It's so cool. The bubbles are almost iridescent! Beatiful way to add to your already fabulous art!! Dumb question but your bubbles were so tiny, what kind of soap did you use to make the bubbles? Was it truly dish soap or something fancier?

Love your videos ❤ I'm curious if i was to do this and wanted to paint a design over it. Does it leave a smooth enough surface to get crisp lines and smooth base coats by the way it's beautiful

If you resin the rock first and then do the bubble technique after will it hold up for outdoor hiding of rocks?

Aloha Rachel, What final finish coat do you recommend for the bubble heart? Is it the same finish coat recommended for the pre bubble coat? Any recommendations for soap to make bubbles? You really got a lot of bubbles! Thank you.

Hi Rachel. Chased down an old “how to resin” video and it was great. I followed it and all good. Now I’m wondering what you do to the bottom that has that mark from the plastic mat I sat them on to dry. I’m concerned about the weatherproofing they need to go out into the garden. Do you know if that rough mark compromises the seal of the resin making it possible for water etc to penetrate and ruin the painting when out in the garden? I purchased a Dremel to sand the bottoms and resin it again or spray with a sealer. It’s making me neurotic 😂🥴🤪. I don’t want to be embarrassed if someone complains about their rock.
@rachelsrockscanada
@rachelsrockscanada Ай бұрын
I don't know if you've seen my newest one, or there's also a video that shows you what I do with the bottoms because of resin ridges or what they call "resin nipples". I do just stand off the back and add a small amount of resin to cover it after sanding. if I'd used too much resin so that there's lots left over. A lot of rocks I don't end up putting outside just because the sun bleaches the paint. But resin does seem to protect it from the rain without any problems in the last 10 years. I've even left them outside all winter in our northern canadian winters and seemed fine in the spring!
