you know every time I upload something I get one thumbs down almost immediately. It's very odd its almost like its the same person lol. Anyway would love to know how you are and what you think is negative about this video. Because in all seriousness I design a pattern, which takes up to 6 months. Then instead of just making you pay for another one which is actually very similar (people do you know!!!) I actually show how you can make something spectacular with the pattern you already have. Not very business wise but I love what I do and understand that people are on a budget. So why? Just had to vent, everybody else thank you for watching!

Siempre hay algún aguafiestas por ahí... there is always who what to destroy the party. Don't worry, you've done a great job!!! Better not to listen. I'm doing now the second dress, with the sleeves. Quite dificultades to sea, Buf wonderful. I'll show you the resultado. The other one is already in my craftsy project. 'Cos you are not there I added a comment saying TVE pattern was yours. XXX

There will always be trolls. I just wanted to let you know that I purchased this pattern yesterday based on all the different tutorials you have done for the same pattern. The pattern was a bit above my price point BUT you offered so many ideas and ways to create many looks that I felt the extra was well worth the price. So thank you for all or the tutorials and time you spend making them. Please keep up the good work.
@MarinaBrumpton8 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. The Teen pattern, is out now next weekend, videos for that going up now in intervals, and that will be half price if you bought the Vivienne kiddo version. Now that is an absolute killer pattern. Those are my most expensive patterns, but I also think in that case you get what you pay for. Plus I have never and will never sell rectangles as patterns. If a new pattern is needed I sell it, if not I show you how to work with what you got. So thank you for trusting my patterns and watching the videos its very much appreciated. :)

i love your videos. I have been sewing for years and went to school, but am learning better techniques on youtube. What makes me sick is the thumbs downers, I think many of them of jealous, haters. If you don't like the way people do things on youtube, just keep your negative comments to yourself. I see nothing wrong with many of the videos of people sewing. Everyone has their own style. If you don't agree with it or are simply just jealous just keep your opinion to your self. I think marina does very well with her sewing instructions, and videos. You will always have haters out there, just ignore them. That is what social media allows mean people to post.

I know, take it as a compliment, they noticed me lol. But I dare them to show me a better video they produced. It's actually quite hard and time consuming. Anyone can talk into a camera, editing is something different. So everyone, give those awesome sewing videos from me and others some love and put the thumbs up !!!

you can. just start with a simple pattern, get to know your sewing machine, play with the different stitches, purchase a simple pattern, read it and start from there. youtube has tons of videos on sewing. patience is a virtue.also purchase a basic beginners sewing book and take your time reading it and practicing different sewing techniques. anything you don't understand youtube it. there are friendly people on youtube who you can send questions to that will help you.

+Bmj Oumrihan Hi darling, its not free, with 20 sizes in the pattern and half a years work creating it, its how I earn a living. But I do have some free ones on frocks & frolics.com. If you can sew already you can join the frocks and frolics sewing circle and apply to be a tester. when a new product comes out I test it to death. People make it and send pics and comments. They then get the pattern free in return. A great way to do it if conversion rates for dollars are actually a bit high fr you.

Thank you so much Marina for your videos and all your little tips :) I do find it hard to understand your accent at times, even after watching for or five times lol I have to buy this pattern, I love it! ! Can you tell me why satin is the last thing you want next to the skin? You can buy smooth luxury satin, it doesn't have to be russly. I have made quite a few dresses lined in full with luxury satin, just interested to know why you don't line bodice with satin :) do wedding dresses not have satin lined bodice? Any plans to bring out baby size patterns?

@MarinaBrumpton8 жыл бұрын
Length is always the same. But when you are working with cotton stretch sateen you need little or no ease at all. When working with a any other woven fabric you do need an inch in ease for a fitted dress. If made for a kid I would even suggest 1.5 inches because they need to be comfortable.

Hello,, I’ve purchased quite a lot of your patterns but because I’m English and you’re German, I find it difficult to understand a lot of what you’ve saying. I think the main problem I have with your tutorials is because you are like you’re in a race. Speeding through at lighting speed! I think you’re designs are lovely, so I struggle though. Thank you anyway and I’m just trying to tell you, that I’d much prefer you to go at a slower pace Also, in your instructions, you often use pictures that are VERY difficult to see because of your choice of fabrics. Right side isn’t much different from wrong side. The pictures are also so small, it’s very difficult to see x

I think the older videos are quicker as they are on KZbin. The newer products are all in a course format at frocksandfrolics.com/academy. They are slow, longer and even more detailed. Are you a member? If you purchased patterns you probably are. They also have more diagrams or photos which have been enhanced.
