I am so excited because I just made this. It is in the oven as I type. I did follow your 2 ingredient dough from your bubble up Pizza instead of the biscuits because you said you like that recipe also. Everything else is the same for your Bubble up chicken pot pie. I know it is going to be grand. Thank you!

Good call on using the 2 ingredient dough! I pretty much only use that now in all my bubble ups. It tastes great in them and is better for you. Hope you enjoy!! Happy Sunday!

I’m new to the bubble up recipes too. It looks good and I can see many variations with this recipe. Do the biscuits cook through or are they more like dumplings? Thanks for sharing this fun recipe!
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
They are so good! And easy! The biscuits do cook through, at least with the way I make mine. I had never heard of bubble ups before doing weight watchers years ago. More recently, I have seen non WW versions out there too. Thanks for watching!

Hi Alicia, Have u ever made this with ground turkey? If so what changes should I make. I have a 1lb ground turkey I thought I could use in this casserole. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
@AliciaLynnYT4 жыл бұрын
I have not but I do love ground turkey! I think you could easily sub with the 16 oz of turkey and it would taste great. A leaner ground turkey doesn't change the points at all either which is nice. I don't know what percentage of fat your ground turkey is but it will change the points on this a tiny bit if it is a higher fat one. I would just cook the turkey with the onions and it should be great. Let me know what you think if you try it!💛

Unfortunately the WW app doesn't give calories when you enter things into the recipe builder, it only gives points.

That looks great! I put water or some other liquid into cans if the recipe calls for water so that I can get out every last bit as well. Thanks for the tip about Greek Yogurt as a substitute for sour cream in order to cut down on calories. I tried Neufchatel cheese in a recipe recently (my highly anticipted "Chocotorta" lol), and I think it may have actually been better than with regular sour cream. My cream cheese frosting for carrot cake, etc., I only use 1 Tablespoon of butter instead of a whole stick, so it saves about 700 calories. I'm a big believer in cutting down on calories if possible.
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
Hi Parnell! Yeah, I like to use liquid to get everything out of a can most of the time. Waste not, want not! lol Greek yogurt is a great substitute for sour cream in a lot of recipes, I just forget about it sometimes. Neufchatel cheese is yummy so I'm sure it was better with that than sour cream! Also, that is good to know that just 1 Tbs of butter works in cream cheese frosting because I always use way more than that! I believe in cutting calories wherever I can too and a 700 calorie cut just means I can eat a little bit more! Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to that Chocotorta recipe!
@ParnellTheChef5 жыл бұрын
@@AliciaLynnYT I literally --just--tried the Neufchatel cheese last week, so now I'm curious about fat free cream cheese in the "chocotorta" because I think it's there mostly to add sourness and cut down on the sweetness Honestly, I think you could get away with no butter in cream cheese frosting. I think butter is added because it has more saturated fat than cream cheese, so it's more solid at room temperature and can be styled. If you want a "pretty" decorated cake, that's one thing, but if you're like me and you usually eat the whole thing by yourself, cutting down on calories and sacrificing a bit of perfect detail is OK for me Chocortorta is coming soon, not sure when, so stay tuned!
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
@@ParnellTheChef I have made a lot of different things with ff cream cheese and it has always turned out pretty good so I would definitely give it a try! You lose maybe a bit of the richness and creaminess because the consistency is a tad different but it still works well. And I think that is a good point about the butter in the cream cheese frosting. My cakes and things don't always turn out pretty anyway so I might have to try no butter one of these times!
@ParnellTheChef5 жыл бұрын
@@AliciaLynnYT OK, maybe FF cream cheese for frosting is a bad idea, but for the Chocotorta (I know I keep talking about it and building it up, lol), the idea is to have something sour to offset the sweetness--so it would probably work in that. Honestly, if no butter means not as pretty but a lot less calories--and it's just for you and your family--it's a good trade-off, imo
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
@@ParnellTheChef I think FF cream cheese would be perfect if you are mainly wanting a sour taste to offset the sweetness! Give it a try! I'm already planning on making this recipe of yours for the Chocotorta for one of my cheat days so I'm patiently waiting for the video! 😁 And heck yeah I would say not as pretty but less calories is a good trade off. I only care if it turns out pretty when I'm doing a video and that doesn't always work out either! lol

This looks so good, and something that is definitely right up our alley. I think I will make this one soon. Makes sense to use greek yogurt instead of sour cream... and I bet you can't even tell! The more I am seeing your WW recipes the more I'm attracted to WW! Some of these lower calorie meals (to include the desserts! looks awesome. Thanks for sharing this. I'm always looking for meal ideas! :)
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Stephanie! And no, you can't tell the difference between greek yogurt and sour cream, especially in something like this. I like to use greek yogurt in a lot of different things, I feel like it's better for you than sour cream. Though I still use sour cream too. WW recipes are really good for the most part which is why I still use them though I haven't done WW since 2012 or so! Thanks for stopping by!

Alicia, do you think I can use sour cream for this in place of Greek yogurt? Nevermind, you literally just said that!😂
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
😄 No problem, greek yogurt and sour cream are pretty interchangeable in recipes! I just like to use greek yogurt because it has a lot of protein. If you do make this you might want to add some salt to it! We have been trying to lower our salt intake and I keep forgetting that normal people actually put salt in recipes. lol I hope you try this though, it is yummy!
@PrayerfullyEverAfter5 жыл бұрын
@@AliciaLynnYT , I think I'm gonna try it tonight. I have a ton of chicken in the freezer and Mike doesn't really like chicken unless it's put into casseroles. I remembered this video and it seems like something he would like! Seems like it would be easy to figure the calories too.👍
@AliciaLynnYT5 жыл бұрын
@@PrayerfullyEverAfter Awesome! Since it is WW friendly, I would guess it is lower on calories too since that is usually how that works in my experience with WW. That's another reason why I still do so many WW recipes, I figure it is a lower calorie way of eating that still tastes pretty darn good! I hope you enjoy it if you make it!
