I always cut Barr sodas with soda water personally. Every one I've tried was overly sweet. That said, their cream soda is amazing.

I had a feeling, in fact said aloud to myself "I bet it's grotesquely sweet" and indeed it was. There are alot of these in U.S. ala Cotton Candy Soda, Candy Apple soda, e.t.c. and they're all absurdly over sweetened. Other drink sounded interesting, cumin in a soda!?! Iv tried hubba bubba soda when that was avalable back in the 90s. It was bloody vile. tasted exactly like the bubblegum which was incredibly weird. Ill drink most stuff but not even i could manage more than a couple of sips

i find it pretty common in most corner and discount shops. live in south wales and its everywhere and has been since i was kid, but i also see it a lot when ever i go to havens or Parkdean and Park Resorts (now Parkdean resorts). i think it's more of a british 80s, 90s, 2000s thing? i'm not really sure. but yeah it's pretty common all over britain.

Was a limited edition so sadly it probably won't appear again. I think however it was just their raspberryade and cream soda mixed, so you could try that.

We did a scientific study into E numbers and their effects on hyperactivity and one of the additives that served best as a stimulant was the blue in that bubblegum soda. I found this out whilst halfway through a can and it definitely put me off. One type of E number that is now illegal has less of an effect on neuronal response than that particular blue!

Those Rubicon Street Drinks are pretty decent. I've got a bunch of Bissap in my fridge right now. 12p a can so bought 12! I love Bissap and Sharbat. I'd love them to bring out a fizzy version.

That is nice how you show the liquids. Your remarks on the bubblegum flavor reminds me of some independant soda I got on a liquidation after the holidays. I just cut it with more seltzer to get it to a drinkable state! Well, the lemon, mint, and cumin drink was certainly interesting amd if they have it in the states, I will give it a try!

Does anyone know which makes of fizzy drinks do not contain artificial sweeteners? Each to their own but I really dislike the artificial sweetness and it seems to be in most fizzy drinks now in UK.

You should try some Şalgam (pronounced "shal-gam") a Turkish drink made by lactic acid fermentation of aromatic turnip juice and purple carrots. You can buy it with or without chilli pepper. It is available from Turkish shops in the UK, it can be something of an acquired taste.
