Received mine today. Even nicer than I expected, even though reviews are positive. I love the golden hue of the bolsters. They must mix a little brass in with the nickel. Cuts like a champ. Scary sharp. Mine has a really strong pull, almost annoyingly strong. The knife comes with a very inspirational message from CJ Buck, something that resonated with me.

Got mine today from FedEx and I love it! Best $12 knife I've ever bought, no gapping, smooth transitions, evenish grinds and shaving sharp to boot! The only problem is that I popped it into my pocket and the shield popped out 😂😂😂 I couple drops of super glue later and I was happy again. Thanks for sharing this awesome find!

I just got turned onto traditional style knives. Got mine from Walmart also, but it was $23.97. I like the pattern. Good looking knife. Not particularly sharp out of the box, but then I'm a bit obsessive about sharp knives. My coworkers used to kid me about my obsessively sharp knives. I always told them that a dull knife isn't good for much. A little work on a whetstone and a strop yielded a nice sharp edge. I think the spear point blade is a versatile design.

I have maybe 25 knives, case, Spyderco, , buck, calamus, Queen cutlery that I bought at the factory north of Franklin PA about 25 years ago.. here’s the problem you buy a useful quality, made knife, and I end up not using it for anything because I’m afraid I will damage it. I have a small yellow case toothpick. I have a couple case, sodbusters, medium, and large. I have a. all stainless Spyderco that is the most dangerous looking knife I have ever seen even though the blade is only about 3 inches long if that. I don’t even wanna carry them in my pockets because I’m afraid I will scratch them against my keys… The knife I use all the time. A World War II era calamus electricians knife. It was on the enterprise aircraft carrier during World War II. It’s obviously been used, but it is solid and that’s the one I scrape gaskets with and cut cardboard boxes and open packages with all the time. The other knife I use always and it’s always with me is a small Spyderco stainless that fits on my key ring.. I am always opening packages, my mail, cutting tape, slicing into ketchup packets At Wendy’s with that tiny knife. It has been on my key ring for at least 15 years, always with me.

Hate to sound like a broken record Thrifty but your end of review slide shows are just killer! I’m gonna drive over to my Walmart in Wasilla, Alaska and try to score this Buck budget gem.

The online price is quite a bit lower than in store. Try ordering if you can.

I ordered one yesterday, and they let me order it, too... but guess what? Presently "Out of stock" They did give me $10 off my next purchase as a consolation prize, though. (Presently waiting with bated breath for them to come back in stock.)

I used to be very adamant about not buying Chinese knives and I'll still be picky about the ones I do buy from China. But I buy these to use every day instead of my higher end knives. Lose it , beat it up and it's no loss. I've been carrying this one for about a year now. It cuts.

Thanks for the info. If I could walk into Walmart and grab it for the mentioned price, I would probably be tempted. It seems either way that price is not really available. Sigh. Of course, I don't really need another knife. LOL. I have plenty in the unused keybord drawer in front of me as I type this. 🙂 Thanks for the review Thrifty!

@@donaldstrader7241 Sometimes the great deals turn out to be not so great when you find out that a item advertised for a low price isn't available in stores, it's called "Come On" and it's been used by retailers since Jesus was a fire fighter !
