I do think that a scene between them talking it out would be so cool. But I also think that Buck is a little impulsive and a very in the moment person I think if/when they get together it would be Buck just like going for it. Him and Maddy would end up talking about it after... because Buck, if Eddie didn’t immediately respond positively (I could definitely see him be frozen or like, needing to think it out too long for Buck to think it’s mutual. But I could see him, all smooth going, “About time.”) I think he’d definitely go to Maddy all worried about ruining things with Eddie. And he’d just be like I kissed him, did I ruin everything? And that’s how he’d end up coming out... if he’s not already out. I mean I think Maddy already knows so she’d just be supportive, and probably slightly laugh at poor Buck not catching onto Eddie’s feelings with Chimney later. But having them talk it out before I think would be good and healthy and it would be nice to see Buck get the kind of support that we know Maddy would give him.

OMG I finally figured out why that scene with Buck explaining he "was mad and there was nothing he could do about it" is so familiar. It totally reminded me of Jude and Zero from Hit the Floor, they were one of the most adorable gay couples ever and I stopped watching the show when Zero left. But Jude actually has a whole speech about wanting Zero and been made he couldn't have him. This speech reminds me so much of that.

Ok, so because of this video (that YT's algorithm randomly recommended to me) I discovered 9-1-1 and Buddie, so thanks ! Watched season 2 and 3 and I love it (even though there are some parts that are a bit cliché sometimes). I must admit I don't see any baiting though. There is indeed potential between Eddie and Buck, that's a given, but I'm not convinced that the writers are baiting or anything. That's not to say I wouldn't like it if these two became a thing, they go really well together. In any case, I hope that the next episodes will at least significantly develop their friendship, even if they don't make them an item. Thanks for making me discover a lovely series !
