Loved the way Buck kept patting Ray on the back. Such genuine caring. Those two greats sure found their groove on this song. Outstanding!!!

@Steve Stevens ohh the music gets me down to my tears, but man believe there was racism in this time. You can read Ray Charles’ autobiography Brother Ray (wonderful book) and you’ll see. But whatever bad times there are just keep on singing and the world’ll soon become a better place

@@arnassimaitis2105 I'm sitting here right now with tearing eyes. Bad times for almost everybody throughout the years and ages, including my Mexican 'abuelos' from way back right here in el ciudad de Los Angeles. But this video, damnit....music produced and loved right here in the USA. It's a tear-jerker for sure.

Why do you people always default to this whenever you see a white and black person do anything together? Can’t it simply just be: “just two great performers showing us how to entertain”? Because not EVERYBODY is/was prejudice.
@needsaride15126 Жыл бұрын
@@MoSco5000 Thank you. Just two performers singing together. Those who default to race and prejudice stating there wasn't any. Are just whitewashing history once again. There has always been racism, there will always be racism. A white person and black person singing together doesn't change that.

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder” but “out of sight out of mind” has helped me get over a few headaches, it works, don’t chase after a failed relationship as the girl will hate you. I have heard so many stories which end in disaster, I am glad I never chased a girl no matter how much I wanted to and after watching one too many guys getting locked up after they did chase makes me glad I was too broke to chase as I can still smile and nod at an ex without seeing fear in her eyes which is the result of stalking an ex

Love this version best because Ray & Buck...are BUCK & RAY!! But Ray loved Buck's music especially as well as Country, he recorded 3(?) of his songs. However much I adore Ray's genius and I do, this duet with the Buckaroos backing them retains that sweet, sorrowful lamentation from Buck which I think highlights the soulfull, broken heartedness and "everyman" quality that Ray wanted to, and I believe did successfully, convey to squares & hipsters (aka lilly- white northern city folks) who were getting down man 😎 to the most God awful Folk, watered down Jazz-lite, and pretentious poetry readings!! The film "RAY" w Jamie Foxx is so well done and it doesn't sugar-coat how much of a a*"#@/e Ray Charles was & boy was he! Although most geniuses, revolutionaries, world-changers, etc are "difficult" "a hand full"🙄😣 especially if they're artists. The ones who are not are still equally gifted as they are cursed, Donny Hathaway, Vincent Van Gogh, Lord William Wilberforce. Oh well enough of my blather, check out Buck when Don Rich was still alive, may he rest in peace, and the Buckaroos on the Jimmie/Jimmy Dean show, they were on fire! Peace, Regan

Dynamite duet on a great song. I'm looking for another classic live rendition of "Crying Time" - - it one was from a Canadian TV show, sung by SYLVIA TYSON and LUCILLE STARR. [Can some kind person post it??]
@Jigaboo1234563 жыл бұрын
I like so sing along. I think I'll make this a trio, so:- Oh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me I can see that far away look in your eyes I can tell by the way you hold me darlin', ooh That it won't be long before it's cryin' time Now they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder ( And that tears are only rain to make love grow Well, my love for you could never grow no stronger If I lived to be a hundred years old Oh, it's cryin' time again, etc Now you say you've found someone that you love better] That's the way it's happened every time before And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow Cryin' time will start when you walk out the door
