Congratulations, awesome flight! I flew there once but couldn’t get the height for the trip to the Statue…. So jealous! Flying back at the same height as the hotels on the front gave me vertigo! Well done !!

You're welcome! I'm glad you liked it :) I get nervous in sketchy launches with my two-liner because I'm very tiny and carry about 14kg of ballast, so I'm not very agile and walk more like a penguin than like a human being 🤣

Hola Hugo. Gracias por escribir. El vuelo no es difícil en sí, el problema es que hay pocos aterrizajes en el camino. Claro que se puede con una vela B, pero las condiciones tienen que estar buenas (para hacerlo con cualquier vela) y según me dicen los pilotos, hay pocos días al año en el que se puede hacer el vuelo.

Gracias por el muy lindo video Joanna. Me trajo buenas memorias de mis vuelos en São Conrado. Allí volé por la primera vez con parapente en el año 1991- sí, claro, soy uno de los viejos chotos dinosaurios. En esa época solo los aladeldistas se atrevían a intentar el viaje al Cristo. Qué suerte tenemos de poder volar en estos días con la nueva generación de velas.

Hi Stéphane, I'm not sure if you can rent gear, maybe it's better to contact the Sao Conrado club and ask for info. Otherwise, yes, there are tandem pilots who can take you there, although I was told it's forbidden to go to the Corcovado. But I hope things change when you go in July!

Hi! Not sure if November is the right time to try this flight and as far as I'm concerned, it's forbidden to fly over the Christ now 😢, but you can still fly locally. But contact the Clube Sao Conrado de Vôo Livre for more info. You have to register at the LZ and pay a fee, and then go up with any of the official transports. It would be safer is you use your own gear as the take off is very tricky. Thanks for watching!

¡Me alegra que te haya gustado! Busca a baraodovoo en Instagram, seguro que te dará algún consejo. También puedes preguntar por Erico Oliveira en el Club Sao Conrado en el aterrizadero. Hasta donde sé, prohibieron el vuelo al cristo, pero infórmate antes de ir a ver si ya se puede. De igual forma, solo volar ahí ya es alucinante ¡Buenos vuelos!
