that's a great find mate. well done. very early Canon balls were made from lead as well I've been told. there is a group of historians looking for them from the Battle of mortimers cross in my area. 👍

Hi Nigel , i like the token but the cannon ball is a belter it could be from the English civil war and could also have been fired from a Serpentine cannon a small anti personel cannon they used to drag round with them , nice one mate love it ATB Rob .

Have you ever used a flatbed scanner on coins with no detail. You will be amazed. Awesome find brother. Fingers crossed for my hunt in the morning.also the diameter of the cannon ball which is the calibre will give you the weapon that fired it and date of manufacturer
