Bucket mouse trap in chicken coop

I bought a live capture mouse trap from Amazon to deal with my mouse problem in the chicken coop. It came with the bucket lid, trap door and ramp. Put it on top of a standard bucket and bait with peanut butter. The mouse walks up the ramp, onto the trap door and falls in. Did you know if you put miles miles away from your place they can find their way back with their babies?!

It works better with the peanut butter bait smeared on the inside wall or the cover--not on the ramp. Prevents the mice from wiping it off as they slide into history.

No rats!🐀🤣. I have a lot of mice by my coop now too..never had it before..so I bought this trap today. It should be here Tuesday I hope no rats either. It would so freak me out! Will see how it will works and I will take them out to a place in the woos too.

I just got one of these yesterday and I'm psyching myself up to use it. I saw someone coated the inside walls with cooking oil so they couldn't climb/jump back out. I'm stuck at home at the moment so don't know what I'm going to do when I catch it/them as I've no fields around me either.

It's super easy! I put some wood shavings in the bottom so they couldn't get a good grip to jump straight up. They tend to burrow down in there and just hide. Good luck!
