Bucket is ahead of the rest in techno savvy. He is my favorite guitarist ,how does he make all those sounds?
@missintegra0 Жыл бұрын
@@curtisnashsr.2700 Sometimes he does it just switching from one pickup to another, that changes the sound but doesn't make a new one...Most of the time with pedals (delay, crybaby, booster, octaves pedal, MXR phase 90, bass synth wha, etc) and his station, if u pay attention to his movements in concerts you can see how he steps on "something" and the previous sound change hehe (Also my fav guitarist and musician in general)🤍 Regards

Skrapeg0at there are a lot of weird but crushers and fuzz pedals out there that can alternatively starve out and boost the gain, signal strength, and pedal volt supply to make fucky noises like this. What he does it seems is that he's blasting through various Van Halen harmonic techniques like you see in Spanish fly and little guitars with the laser sounds going, and when he hits the harmonic right...wow...the sustain that high note gets is otherworldly.

Amazing the comments I read from people jumping to the conclusion that Buckethead is a bad player based off ONE video they watch of him, which is a display of technical ability, uniqueness, and versatility of what the man can make a guitar do. Every player is different, and Buckethead is no exception. In fact, it's the nature of his style that is entertaining to so many, including myself. Obviously this is not meant to be a "melodic" display. Being a musician, and an avid fan of Buckethead, just irritates me to see so many shallow, close minded comments. You're watching the video, you thought enough of it to comment negatively, how about listening to ANY of the multitude of pieces of art this man has created?? Lotus Island (the song), anything off Colma, Electric Tears, Diamond in the Rough, I could go on... He's done and accomplished so much that most of us only dream of. Buckethead deserves respect, like any other accomplished musician. TL;DR: Listen to the man's music.

sjeverett75 maybe check out songs like "unrestrained groth", a real diamond in the rough, broken mirror (the first track of a real diamond in the rough album) or check out and this is a song i can really recommend "el indio"

As far as I'm concerned this is the goat. I swear the understanding of theory this man has combined with his preferences of gear is enough to make me believe in aliens. Not that I don't ever consider the possibility but there's no way in hell he's from this planet.

3:15 if he played something like this in the 50's, people would've thought he was possessed by the devil.

I always wondered.. with that mask on, and him looking straight ahead, is he essentially playing with his eyes closed a good deal of the time? It looks like he wouldn't be able to see anything even if he tried!
@jtet95599 жыл бұрын
He has no use for eyes
@liffei4209 жыл бұрын
GeddyMX Truth of the matter is once you learn the songs really well you don't have to look at your hands while you play.
@GeddyRC9 жыл бұрын
James Dodson Agreed. But Buckethead is also known for his improvisation skills, at which point there wouldn't be anything to "remember". :) He's just so good he can play stuff that sounds good, and does it all by feel!
@liffei4209 жыл бұрын
GeddyMX Thats true and as I have said for a long time he is probably the most technical guitarist on the face of the planet. Granted not all of his stuff sounds super great, he gets pretty wacky, but there are few people who could play a good portion of the stuff he can pull off.
@IgonOvabord9 жыл бұрын
There's no need to be looking at the guitar most of the time so it wouldn't be an issue.

Most people are stupid and want another Slash that only favours melodies. Those people miss the point of this video... Buckethead was not trying to play a melodic solo, he was trying to show what you can do with the guitar to sound different and have fun. If you want to hate Buckethead for no reason look up: Watching the Boats with Dad, Soothsayer, Whitewash, For Mom, Big Sur Moon, Nottingham Lace, unknown song & Frozen Brains tell no tales. Those are proper studio songs. Buckethead is great at whatever he decides to play, wether he wants to be melodic, heavy, creative/innovative or just plain showcasing technicality

HA! That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard in my life. Buckethead is good, but he's not Lil' Wayne good. Not even close.
@user-mf1de3xx3l6 жыл бұрын
dammit did u just said that a human person can even fathom the way lil wayne plays guitar,buckethead plays it with his hands but lil wayne plays it with the force of all living beings being combined into one he just moves his hands to look human while he trully is an almighty god and the creator of all living and unliving things

oh yeah for sure. I can tell its little wayne by the white skinned hands

+Doktor Jekyll van Hyde I think his best melodic song is SoothSayer. I've only recently got into his stuff, and I find that song amazing, it's so technical and smooth and clean. He's a tremendously talented player though.
