Awesome! Buckethead is, IMO the greatest guitarist, and showman going. I'd rather have the tour guitar also, but I'd rather have it unsigned but maybe with some signed pic or something of him using it. And it's cool that the tech gave you all the old parts back, even the strings. Keeping everything for something like this is important. And like yourself, I played when I was young, but stopped in my teens. I turned 39 yesterday(5/11) and just started playing again a couple months ago. I love it, and it's definitely easier to learn this time around as I'm more motivated to practice.

I love Buckethead. Came from drums over the years I'd buy his stuff. I eventually decades later switched to learn guitar. Hik and David Gilmour are my mentors.

there is a good chance i have played the killswitch on that guitar. it would have been a few years before the 2017 tour but obviously the guitar had some wear put on it before then so maybe. thats an awesome score. congrats! and happy belated to the B-man!

Buckethead is a sweetheart of a human and a rare unicorn. Thank fuck he stayed away from drugs and is still with us. That guitar will grow in value, especially when he is gone. That would be a fair price for that guitar if it were just some guys but it has history and Buckethead's energy. I wonder if he needed money in a hurry or why the sudden auction? If he had advertised the auction, he probably could have gotten much more. Get a good hard case for that gem!

I'm only guessing, but BH might have gotten a free guitar from Gibson and decided that he didn't need this one. But that said, a Gibson Buckethead Les Paul studio 2011 is selling right now on Reverb used for $8000, so this guy got a great deal.
