I've gotten the fishing buff without any applause many many times, it happens when a fish is caught in your vicinity while you're fishing and stacks up to 5x. Each stack provides 10% increase to how fast you reel in fish. Edit: fishing is good for cooking which makes pretty good money but is ingredient intensive (I.E. - need meat, fish, vegetables etc.)

Hunting is still the best way to make some quick buck even if its already been nerfed (price of antlers went down from 120 to 43each) and I won't complain about that since it was very much needed. As for fishing the best way is to fish with at least 1 players around so you can stack up the buff up to 5 and get 50% reduction in fishing bite speed. Another great way to make money "passively" is gardening plant some stuff to grow while you go out doing more activites 😀

Just tried out one I'd seen re fishing. Go to the mayor's back garden - tucked in a corner is a small pond (not the fountain). Get a comfortable position for a short cast as it's small. No bait needed. You can get Mottled Gobi for 85g (*127) each. About 2 a minute if lucky - they are quite wriggly. That's 850 every 5 minutes (roughly), potentially 1700 every 10 mins or 10,000 per hour.If you want to do it quietly with no crowds don't do it while he's in the garden (between 5am and 9am)

Mirror fields works well for bug hunting: grasshoppers and dragonflies. The respawn rate is fast. hoppers are 50coin and dragonflies over 100

Early game Hunting is the best! Also Best tip I can give u is once you can dont sell raw materials. Selling antlers but turning hide into leather before selling and using meat in worm farms to feed into your glow work farming is the best strat! Fishing with worms is the best and grill and sell em for a chance of star.

a little tip about bug catching. when you have a better belt (higher chance of catching bugs) you get silk from rares and epic ones with less smoke bombs and processed silk is pretty valuable :) thats how i earn most of my money except of gardening (i dont do cake sessions) and have upgraded everything :)

You just have to move your mouse left and right, you don't have to pull it down. Just hold the left click and move mouse left and right to track fish.

Another tip. When you max out hunting you can buy fireworks with the foins uou start earning. You can hint hunt hunt, sell your stuff and when your couns build up buy the fireworks and vendor them as well. Also, when your able, turning the hide into leather you'll get about 2/3 more gold per. Also, potatoes and cotton sell pretty well too!

Don't forget some tree chopping and selling some of your excess plants. I usually only keep a hundred or so lilies on hand and sell the rest. It isn't fast but it can help the over all upward trend on making money. And gardening once you get the seed collector is free money.

Couple things about fishing... 1) unless you're aiming for a star-fish-ripple, then only cast it the minimum distance needed for a successful cast. Casting your line further out just means you have a longer distance to fight the fish while reeling it in, which means you may lose more fish. 2) the most common place to fish for cave fish is in the mines, but it's not the only place. You can also use the Phoenix ruins. Once you have access by obtaining a hang-glider to cross the chasm, you can park you butt on the lower level and fish off the edge. Great place for group fishing parties. About gardening... I used starred veggies in the seed maker to get star seeds... which make more starred veggies. I got it to the point where I'll get a dozen star-tomatoes and only one or two regular ones. I sell the regular ones (or use for worm food) and use excess star-veg for seeds.

I believe they already nerfed the value of various sernuk products, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did that again or reduced the number. They spawn way faster than the oysters and shells currently.

Ok so I came with an update XD, since I just did what I said above. I colected all the corals, oisters, shells, plants, insects (crabs, snails, lanternbugs) and I got my inventory full in 1 Palia day, so I guess about 30 min in real life, and i've made a bit more than 2k. I have to mention that I also cooked the clam meat at the campfire, because that way you also gain cooking skill, and if you get a starred grilled clam meat you make some extra gold. I used 3 campfires, that way you just rotate arround, and you don't have to waith for cooking time. I was done with grilling in like 2 minutes.

Not really newbie friendly but can help newbies with it: cook foods together. You can cut the cost if people bring some of the ingredients but overall cooking together yield foods for everyone. In my current incomplete spreadsheet, the best food to cook for profit is Akwinduu Chaapa, while the best food for focus are Hearty Vegetable Soup and Meaty Stir Fry

I tend to do alot of fishing, it looks like you got unlucky with the spots! I fish in ponds and the fish there, with or without worms yield me over around 39-50g per catch dependant on rarity, in 30 minutes i haul in 1.6k g worth of fish in a single spot! For beginners, farming is pretty slow and expensive without the seed extractor, so that's why I didn't include it. I haven't yet tested selling wood...interesting to try it though!

@@BuckeyeBunny Wood chopping and stone mining will be exploited once the game open to public. Since this is a f2p game, just create 5 alts account and have each of the 5 alts take one hit on the tree or mining node, and you get 5x the amount of gathering. All these will probably be automated in the form of bots. Chopping wood and mining node will be the biggest money earner in the game. IF it can be exploited, it will be exploited. I cannot believe that the dev has not thought of this. Of course the dev can severely nerf the spawning time of tree and node and end up making every player's live miserable and tedious. The future of this game is not bright once bots invade the land.

Cast in the back of the mayor's house just to the left as soon as you leave the back door. You can find a couple different koi there worth about 23 to 25 each. Fishing for about 5 minutes I got 500 gold.

Weird, I was making 3,000 foraging shells / opening oysters, after just 30 minutes of running around. I think I just get lucky with pearls. The shore is getting crazy crowded now though. So I am going back to shooting the deer. Now that I have several farming plots, I am not to worried about money. Tomatoes seem to be the best money maker so far.

I personally only do Farming I make around 21k every 10 in game days so 10 hours( 2.1k/hr), it's not the best money per hour but it doesn't require you to be that active. Assuming you're doing tomato/potato/wheat/rice setup with 9 plots you don't have to do much beside the initial setup every 10 hours and replanting/watering crops that have grown in between those 10 hours. you can combine this with any money making method in the down time to make even more or never sell the materials and join group cooking (see below) Group cooking is insane money but the entry for this require materials prepared before hand and an organized group (I think this is the best money making if done correctly) I've seen people do 50 batches of dishes (each batch is 30 dish) and come out with like 65k gold

You actually doesn't need to pull your mouse down when fishing. What you need to do is just move mouse left or right. The fishing rod will pull the fish anyway.

Fishing with bait makes a big difference. I'll be surprised if hunting is better than glow worms. Problem is getting the glow worms in the first place, though. Regular worms are decent but hunting is still better I think. Fishing near someone also makes a big difference since you'll catch a lot more fish, actual location is less important.
