I really like the drone footage of the silage piles and the harvesters in the fields. Have you made any videos that would compare the inner workings of the different combines, like how a silage chopper differs from say a corn picker or a wheat, oats, soybean combine? I've always been fascinated by the complexity of harvesters and balers and thought you might be the one to have some videos. Thanks again for sharing these. Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - John

Another good one Mike. But I gotta ask. Is that tires laying on top of the plastic that's covering the silage? If so, must me hundreds of thousands. Does that not create a major mosquito problem in the summer months?

All those tires are just the sidewalls. They are cut like this so they don't hold water.

What is the difference between sillage corn, commercial corn, and edible corn? I know the difference between the com and edible just wondering what they look for when planting corn for sillage.

Will the pit face that they are not rolling go off? Or do they tidy it up afterwards?

cool video, One thing that does bug me about silage it what kind of silage is more heathy?Alfalfa or grass, corn or whole crop?

It really depends on the application and diet mix. And what the animals just find more palatable. For a really simple silage mix, three prospect (beardless, oat wheat and barley) with some red clover would be a full nutritious meal.
