Those 8RX Tractors sure are a thing of beauty and it's very hypnotic watching the white fields turning back brown, great video Mike.

You don’t hear those tractors working at full throttle very often. It’s nice to see a farmer using all the horsepower they paid for.

If the noise you can hear coming from the implement is rocks going through there must be a quarry of stones under the snow. Nice looking tractors, doing a great job. Regards from Down Under.

Really neat find! Beautiful looking matching outfits, but I prefer dual wheeled tractors. The track models look like something off terminator ll

Hopefully this farm gets enough moisture in the ground from that snow melting since you pointed out that the ground is currently kind of dry at the moment.

Probably just the way the disc's are placed but it seems the 2720 is just a bit wider than the 2700, or maybe it's just my eyes. Would have been fun to be driving one of those that day.

Mike, as always, thanks for another video. Do they rip the field again in the spring time-? Why not put the ripper tines in front of the first row of disk blades so that the blades can cut thru the chunks of clods that are ripped up-? With the ripper tines behind the last row of blades, a lot of big clods are left behind.
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
No they will run a field cultivator in the spring just ahead of the planter. Most guys like to leave the field rough in the fall and it will mellow down quite a bit over the winter and work up really nice in the spring.

I wonder which configuration of ripper they like better or feel does a better job.
