As a Duck fan, I’ve never seen such an objective reaction. No homerism at all. Howard played very well. He surprised me. Yes he screwed up at the end but he over all played really well. The officials had problems. Here’s one that I saw. Stewart catches the ball he runs down the sideline and eventually goes down. Oregon gets everyone back to the line for a hurry up play aaaaaand time out!!! lol They want make sure he didn’t go out of bounds on the play. Now remember Oregon is lining up quickly only to get momentum stopped. So In the replay you see Stewart running and the official along the sideline with a perfect view of the entire play but they need to go back and look at it. lol Anyways the officiating caused problems both ways for sure. That was a great game!! Even if we had lost I would still say that. I mean we lost to Huskies last year in a game somewhat similar as far as entertaining. We lost that one but it was a good game. College football is alive and the product is good!!! God bless Ohio State!!!

First off, I'm a Duck. Great game from both teams and I think we can all argue that this game likely would've gone OSU's way had it been a home game for them. Two great teams went head to head. That being said, every OSU fan I talk to is hung up on the 12th man play, which to their credit I understand. But, objectively, it was within the rules and a very strategic coaching decision. The play that I think was extremely pivotal was the missed interception on OSU's opening drive. Think about momentum in college football?! Obviously, we'll never know what that would've turned into but I thin we can at least agree that if that play was reviewed and the INT was counted, there was a potentially huge momentum shift that could've occurred. At the end of the day, this game could've EASILY went either way. A half second was the difference, and there is due credit to both teams on playing what many could argue will end up being the game of the year!

If they play again, it will be nice to have Jordan Burch back. Howard surprised me with just how slippery he was in the pocket. Burch could make that a lot more difficult. Don't know if I would be so hard on Burke -- if Gabriel and Evan Stewart are suddenly on the same page like that, Stewart is a freakin handful, super explosive, and pretty much any corner could struggle if Gabriel has that much time. If we're talking about if-onlys, that really was an interception on the opening drive. 😊 OSU should not have scored there.

You bring up a good point about the SEC broadcasts. The audio is always mixed so that the stadium atmosphere levels are emphasized. I never really notice this with Big Ten games you can hear the crowd somewhat but it feels a bit tame. It has an affect psychologically, viewers believe whichever game sounds the loudest is the most important. They also identify attractive young ladies in the crowd and setup their cameras to show them whereas in Big Ten games they just show random people that usually don't catch your eye for any particular reason.

DL: no 1st rounders, maybe at best, two 2nd day and two 3rd day NFL draft picks. DBs: no 1st rounders this year but 1 next year if Caleb Downs is still here. QB: not a 1st rounder or future NFL starter, with a very weak arm for an NFL prospect. He can’t even stretch the field in College with Great WRs and RBs.
