Love those Macs, I just got into old Macs...was sick and tired if the plastic crap being made... I'm finding out how amazing these are. Just picked up a 1976 power Mac 6 that had been used 1 weekend when bought.. the home owner used fogging oil on it and on everything, it has been sitting for 49 years...I put some gas and bar oil in it...and it fired right up to my surprise... what a gem of a saw... came with original Chain on it, never sharpened, still sharp, original rubber bar cover...Got it for 15 bucks...🤑🤑

Love the sight of those bumble bees in the back. Big ditto on the stale saw statement. I've been doing the same with my two macs and the 660s, 880, and smaller saws at work. Last month I was breaking in three Stihl trimmers and had them all idling...and would have sworn there was a top fuel dragster idling at the lights. Cool sounding.

Reminds me of about 55 years ago when i had a racing go cart, that really was nice, i had Two McCullock engines on it, direct drive , had to push to get started and jump in, damn thing went about 80 , ninety miles an hour, was allways scared to go faster. LOve your Vids.

I do miss my old Pro Mac 60. It went through wood like a Tasmanian Devil, but a couple things I don't miss would be the weight, and the vibration transmitted back through the handle. My hands would vibrate for several minutes after extended cutting. I have two Husqvarnas now but darn, I sure miss that nice yellow color!

Another enjoyable vid, Buckin. Makes me wish I were a few years younger and workin the pile. As it stands, got 2 dead trees to buzz up, but I can't fire up my big Husky anymore. My shoulders are both giving up bone wise. I need to buy a smaller easier starting saw, but I've no idea of what. I'm open to any imput here. Hate feeling crippled up like this. Shoot, I'm only 69!
@timberray9572

If your looking for an easier starting saw look for one that has a decompression button, mostly found on pro models on huskys or stihl. Also anything in the 50cc range is pretty lite and all most people need.

My dad used to have a Pro Mac 7-10 Automatic years ago, I want one too right now! My dad and I both have Pro Mac 700 "The Professional" 's right now, but just isn't the same. I just got a Super Pro 60 from a guy in New York State that arrived on Thursday! He shipped it out Tuesday! I think it needs a new bar oiler pump and I know it needs the front top anti-vibe mount, the one between the gas tank and the engine. Not a full wrap handle bar, but a shiny as new "tall" wrap handle bar on it. Super Pro's must have a taller half wrap handle bar than the Pro Mac's. It sure looks taller anyway!

Cool! Mine's missing the part of the grip that your fingers wrap around on the handle by the throttle, the black plastic and the kill switch is messed up, so the original owner put a toggle switch through the yellow painted tin area of the (left-hand side) pull starter/flywheel cover and I just think that looks ugly. Tap on my pic here to see my videos, I made a video of it with my 77 year old dad running it!

Awesome buckin. I have a chainsaw "problem" myself. I run a ported 066 magnum with an open muffler. I use it to do emergency response to hurricanes and tornados mostly. All volunteer so I get to use my toy to do good! Anyways.....buckin your a great guy. Sorry you had to suffer from being injured. I have a question.....what caused the alder to fall on you in the second accident? Did the hoe knock it over? If you dont want to say that's ok too. I starting watching for saw sharpening tips...now I'm hooked!!

Hey Brother wondering if you have tried the new PreMixed saw fuel yet? We run it in all our saws and it saves the saws from bad mix and gains power. The fuel cost more but will last 4 years in a unopened state. Macs were a mre styled then the old Homies.

Is there anyplace up there that you can get non ethanol gasoline? That seems to be the number one killer of gas engines. Crappy fuel. No matter what sort of silly expensive conditioners you use the crappy fuel will get you. Boat marinas and places that cater to marine equipment often times have pure gas. Also have you tried that premixed stuff?
