My grandpa has an old McCulloch that I have always loved more than his other saws. Gonna see if he will sell it to me this week because he is too old to run her now or do much of anything. Worked hard his whole life in the mines and on the farm. I spent alot of summers helping him cut and split wood for the stove and doing our own also. Have a good day everyone!

OK, that precision bucking of the trees without even "tickling" the ground with a chain - that's some serious professionalism combined with the years of know how. My hat's off to you Billy. Now I would like to ask you a question that may sound stupid or dumb to a Canadian but I'm gonna ask it anyway.. Here in Europe, (Croatia to be exact), we were always thought that you should never ever use pines, fir or any of those kind of trees, as a fire wood cause their sap to stick the chimney and clog the system, no matter how often you clean your chimney. That's why we exclusively use oak, beech and hornbeam as a fire wood. Also the common, so called "people's wisdom", thought us that these hard wood creates much more heat since they have a higher BTU number.. Obviously I see you guys, and many of your southern neighbors, burn pine, juniper, spruce, fir, etc... So what's the deal? Do you have some special stove, burn place and/or chimney system, or these trees can be used as a firewood without any significant problems? Thank you in advance and I apologize once again if my question sounds stupid to you. Thank you.

You just need to let them season and dry out as much as possible . It don't hurt to keep your fire good and hot also for sure.

Not Gränfors bruk, they’re not that kind of company they’re 100% tradition. Hultafors is a better bet. He could ask Hultafors to make a prototype an then he could take orders from his YTfollowers, if it would grow a big enough interest then Hultafors could decide sell it exclusively with Billy Rays signature. He can for sure not meet the demand by making axes all by himself right?
