Good morning Buckin'. I used your teaching to drop an 8" tree that was crowned out in some much bigger trees, right next to the neibour's garden sheds and fence. I did like you showed us; tied a line about 12 ft up, used an idling 4x4 for tension, then put a big, fat hinge in the cut to control where it went. SWEET! The crown ripped free and the tree dropped EXCTLY where it needed to go! Thanks again from a 76 yr old who's not to old to learn from a master.

This my favorite kind of Buckin video. You are in the groove. No talking, just planning, thinking, falling. I imagine that is how it is out in the forrests for the loggers. I am almost 80 but love power saws and Buckin. I’ve watched most of your videos atleast once. Amazed at how much you can fall in an hour. Jim

When you watch a group of trees all go down all together like they practiced it, you must just stand there and feel "Oh yeah, I'm good at this!" Never thought I'd get so much out of watching somebody cutting down trees! Thanks for sharing this!

Love these days but so rare for me..... I'm a volunteer at a tourist railway in Victoria, Australia. We need to do lineside clearance and some of what we are felling is 50-60 year regrowth. Always nice to go and grab out the big husky, get someone on the 14 ton excavator to clean up after you, and just start dropping trees. The painful days are when you're trying to clear the sides of the cuttings. 45 degree slope and dodgy deer tracks for access. My personal ported Husky 136 is so much easier for those days.....

What a beautiful landscape. Down here in Florida the developers make communities in patches of fall planted pines and to appease the law they leave narrow single rows of planted pines between houses. They always fall on houses because their whole life they have had protection against wind from being planted so close together. Such a silly way they do it here.
