Thank you for this video! I thought that the diagnosis would be the transmission, but it was exactly what you stated in this video. The car runs beautifully now. I see that the following parts were purchased for the repair via the receipt: valve cover gasket set, spark plugs and ignition coil assembly. The mechanic explained to me that when a car has this issue, it obstructs the transmission from getting into gear properly. Be well!

My '04 Solara 3.3 has done the hesitation-bucking-jerking since day one. Stomp the gas and it takes at least half a second for the engine to take off. Driving uphill, even a small incline, about 35 mph and it bucks & jerks like the transmission just broke. Took it back to the dealer several times and they could not fix. Just learned to live with it because even with this issue, the car has been amazing. Would buy another if they still made them.

2000 Lincoln Towncar----- at 69K miles replaced all spark plugs and changed 8 coil: 81K miles changed 7 coil: 83K miles #6 coil and plug: 90K Coil #4: 91.1 K miles #1 Coil: 91.2 miles replace remaining coils and all new plugs: 118K miles #5 Plug and Coil. Fortunatley it was never the transmission. The bucking and jerking happened exactly as Willie describes.

I really appreciate you making this video because the issues with my 1999 Chevy 1500 bucking going up hills on the 4th to 3rd down shift were from a P300 code and was a mix between a bad plug wire and a bad spark plug on different cylinders

I got P0113 and it's a dirty fuel injector. This caused rough idle, hesitation and intermittent check engine. There are tons of videos here on how to clean injectors for cheap. If your car is GDI and has carbon buildup, clean the valves as well.

Explorer 3.5? Check cam position actuator solenoids, or timing chain, honestly explorers have alot of problems, I used to have the 3.5 twin turbo, got rid of it

You should’ve put it on the machine at auto zone first. He was telling you what’s possible. Always ask your mechanic, to make sure whatever you think the issue is with your vehicle, to make sure that is the real problem before they fix it.

2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 here - I did my KZbin search about jerky shifting and there were two other vids above yours on the top page of the results, but I came here 1st because your title and description gave me hope for best possible outcome (not rebuilding a tranny!) 😂 As soon as you started hitting on plugs and wires, makes even more sense because it’s been at least 100k miles since it’s been done. I bought a used car drove fine shifted smoothly for two days 😂 I was driving home and bad shaking when accelerating, but smooth coasting Looked under noticed i had a broked trans mount and bad cv axle. Lifted the tire only roates a quarter turn before hitting metal and stopping. If i spin tire back and forth the whole trans and motor rocks back and forth like igs floating on water Now when i shift from park to drive ( sitting still car not moving forward) whole car violently shakes like its fixing to fall apart. Does this seem like tans mount and cv could be the only issue or does this seem like something more? Most vidoes i find talk about whole droving but mine is while sitting still not even driving.

Appreciate you brotha giving me relief of mind I’m thinking something is severely wrong the other day I was thinking my oil was low so I added a quart and a gallon of oil it started smoking I had my friend pull up and we drained it to where it reaches the maximum line and it stopped smoking, however the check engine light cut on and was blinking and it would feel like there’s a loss of power bc there’s a sports mode and drive mode feels like it was in limp mode comparing the two to when I usually drive it then I noticed the check engine light was blinking constantly after turning it back on

Just want to chime in and say that a clogged catalytic converter was my problem. How did I know? My back seat got so hot that the gas was boiling in the tank and you could hear it! In other words, the exhaust heats up like mad when the flow is restricted and it heated up my back seat and gas tank.

In his case an animal had gotten into his engine compartment and chewed through a line- so he was getting an intermittent symptom…..

I have a Dodge Journey “17 32,000 miles and it’s doing this along with jerking if I try to accelerate, usually I will pull over, turn the car off and back on and it stops the jerking but the check engine light stays on. Dodge dealership was supposed to fix it but as soon as I got it back a day later the check engine light came right back on and it started jerking again so $2000 dollars later and it’s still doing it. I’m going to tell them to check the spark plugs, coil and see if it was a dead miss fire because they apparently charged me for other stuff I did not need and couldn’t fix it.

The issue I am having is with a 2010 nissan altima, drives fine until it reaches operating temp. No codes, start shuddering or jerking at 35-55mph after warmed up. only happens in gear of course. My sisters car, she said it started doing this after she was driving in a steeper hilly area and pushing the car up the hills moderately loaded down. CVT transmission in the car but its not slipping or anything, i believe its the torque converter but if you think theres something else i should check with that vehicle let me know. Thanks

Likely the spark plugs. Go for the high end ones meant for your car. Not the very cheap one. Hard a similar experience. Ur check engine may flash once you go way above the 60mph

So have a wierd problem. Alternator went bad had it replaced, I get the car back engine light comes on says cylinder 2 misfire true. So I swap that coil pack with another the misfire moves to the an other cylinder I think great easy one I replace the coil pack in the front,.. If it was a rear one hours and hours to get to. Wife drives car says engine light comes on and barely drivable. I read the code now cylinder 3 misfires. I clear the codes and notice when car starts out in morning transmission stutters just putting it into drive. I wait till the engine gets to temparture and it seems to shift fine. Now this car has been losing antifreeze, for years. no leaks. So worried it may be losing compression. Will have to do chemical test on coolant I guess to rule that out. Its funny how what I know is a poorly running engine could look like a transmission issue. So far been testing it out no engine code I make sure I wait in the morning for it to get to heat 1/2 on coolant gauge. I believe some coolant is slipping into the cylinder and the car running burns it up. Also radiator cap was bad I tested it would not open rated at 16 put in 20lbs would not open so put a new one in. I think that has been a huge problem for years.

I had a cylinder 1 misfire code come up. I get a stuttering sensation just as I pass 40mph. I went ahead and changed all the spark plugs and coils. The code went away. But the stuttering feeling still happens sometimes.

Help! 2014 Toyota Corolla LE….when I come to a stop my car tries to lunge forward a bit and it makes a very noticeable vibrating/rumbling sound that signals something is clearly wrong. Then it’ll go away after around 5-10 seconds of just sitting their. It just started happening and it only happens in the mornings after my car has been parked all night. I’m usually in a hurry so I’ll be going like 45 mph down the road and come to a sudden stop at the stop sign is when I notice it. After driving around a bit it goes away and doesn’t happen at all. The injectors did not fix the issue I was having. The active fuel management system is acting up at times causing the car to stutter at low RPMs. Once you accelerate, it goes away. We drive the car daily with no issues, but it does stutter/miss at times with low RPMs. It’s fine on the highway. What could this be ????

I have a 2008 ford escape, when it shifts into 2nd for a split second it pulls to the right, sometimes the left . Tried having it scanned for a code . Of course the auto stores code scanner wasn't working or perhaps it's the vehicle that has something wrong with it that it wouldn't show . Anyways I know that year make and model were recalled.
