I’m a nurse. In 2015 I was sick on Fourth of July weekend. Passing copious amounts of bright red liquid blood and vomiting, but didn’t want to sit in a crowded ER filled with drunks and people with heat exhaustion. I become delirious and finally went to a GI appointment. Was admitted from the my doctor’s UCLA office to the hospital and was treated for a week for ischemic colitis. Even if you hate the ER don’t wait. I was lucky I didn’t go to ICU or have major surgery. Live and learn.

I once had a really bad UTI. Urinating was impossible at the end. I had to get a catheter to relieve it finally. I also had bad stomach pains that I couldn't get relief from. I made two trips to the ER before it ended. I also had a painful STD to add to it. Never again.

Good video doc! It might be fun to see you do a case analysis. For like frequent casus seen in the ER / ICU. Where you go into detail on the treatment options and the aspired outcome? Idk might be fun / might be to nerdy.😅

I remember one time I swallowed a small piece of pancake and it went straight down my esophagus and felt like it got stuck above my stomach! That hurt like hell!

So where do you find a good Dr. I have seat belt sternal injuries that I can't get addressed, tear drop fractures at C4-C5 facet joints cause nerve issues. So, how do you find a Dr. that will do an ultrasound of the cartilage, etc. My gut hurts, too. Nerves??? Structural damage??? All I get is drugs that I can't take.

I’ve been at a 6-7 for months. All I learned is I have redundant/floppy intestines (thanks EDS), ovarian cysts and an aortopulmonary fistula. 😒😒😒

Any way to get you to do more pancreatitis vids??? I think I had a bout of biliary colic last month, which the next day = RUQ and epigastric pain, which two days later led to pancreatitis, and here we are four weeks out still experiencing a sensation of swelling in the LUQ. Previously had LUQ pain which radiated to the left scapula...but 10 mg dicvclomine TID eliminated the pain. Had a clear GB ultrasound two weeks ago, and the head of the pancreas was noted to appear normal, while it was a suboptimal view of the tail. My family doc seems unsure what's happening. Does it just take the pancreas awhile to get over such an insult???
