I'm pretty my lap cut hernia was caused by a horrendous sneezing fit about 2 weeks after I was discharged. It was not addressed at the time but looking back, I think the deep tissue stitches ripped through a lot of the muscle. Twenty years on I have to have major abdominal surgery again and I'm hoping he may be able to address the hernia at the same time ... maybe fit a zip fastener ..... ;<)

What I know is that you have to have a flare and the doctors have to catch it while it's happening. And you gotta remember the doctors don't always have the right or answers at the time because they are practicing doctors.

Yep. Got this: been in A&E (UK) (American = ER). But because I have had previous emergency Aortic Dissection repair and Pericardial Tamponade the emphasis was on my Aorta & Chest CT scan. The pain went away with Morphine and eventually settled. I was discharged. Having CT Colonography presently due to flank pain and awaiting diagnosis. I suspect it’s RUQ / RLQ flank referred pain from Gall Bladder issues. Thanks for the explanation. Very interesting.

Doctors at my local hospital recommended taking buscopan if symptoms start. I take with a painkiller and this usually reduces the symptoms relatively quickly (around an hour or less). Pain is excruciating (says me who had a home birth with pain meds for my first baby). Middle area, crushing pain.

I drank the "New" Theraflu last night 12-28-24. Just one pouch. 10 minutes later the pain started. It git worse with time. I drank it at 7:30pm and that pain lasted up until 5am. Im as stubborn as a farmer. Be very careful taking Theraflu.

Had mine done 7 days ago. Still not much better. Intense pain transitioning from sitting up to standing up. Or laying down on my back to trying to get out of bed. I went a week before I went to the ER with my appendix. Mine was covered in black and white sores all over. Surgeon said It was one of the worst he had seen if not the worst. I was lucky to be alive. The air they pumped into me for the surgery is still there blowing my belly up like a tick. Which is painful. Even my scrotum is in pain. Swelled up like a grapefruit. I haven't taken any pain medicine since leaving the hospital which they kept me a little over a day after the surgery. The 325mg hydro doesn't do anything at all to dull the pain. Couldn't tell if I was on something or not. Just the dizziness. Asked doctor office if there was anything else I could get. 1000 MG of Tylenol. Did that..... nothing. The amoxicilian tears my stomach up. Have to go crap almost every hr. Better watch it because I crapped on myself 2x and didn't know I was crapping. Just taking a piss. Had some strange sensations like sitting on the pot and feel like I have blood running down my front end from the belt line. Look down and nothing there. Had that happen several times. While I was in the ER I was delirious with pain. I couldn't think. They give me Dilaudid to ease the pain. It worked. But my oxygen levels dropped and they put me on oxygen. While in a room waiting overnight for the surgery I was up the whole night for the 2nd night in a row. They stopped with the Diladud and give me home else. It would wear off in an hr and wouldn't give me anything for the pain until another hr had passed. I would be in extreme pain before another dosage was put in my IV. Also had a high fever and high white blood cell count. Would get severe cold chills as well. This still isn't the most painful things I've gone through. It was about as bad as broken ribs. I broke mine into. When you breath the rib bones would scrap against each other. Sneezing, coughing, laughing etc would be excruciating. I had a cold when I broke mine on the back side. Broke both my arms at same time and appendix about the same as that. Worst pain... got shot in my eye with a firework called a whistler. The plastic tip blows outwards and the gunpowder ignites. We'll it exploded in my eyeball when someone fired one at me. The powder and plastic sizzled into my eye slowly burning into the inside of my eye. Can't tell you how excruciating painful that is. Think of a 1000 red hot needles slowly burning into your eye. Then at the ER they used some kind of acid to take the top layer of my eye off because it was so damaged. I passed out when they did this. This happened back in the mid 90s. I was blind in my eye for a while but God performed a miracle and I slowly got my eyesite back. Ya i still have tons of floaters everywhere I look but I can see! Light is bright for me as well out of that eye. I've had many other things happen to me as well 😕

You should try under the belly button. Your patients will thank you. I had a hernia under the belly button area so while they were doing the gallbladder they fixed that issue as well. You can't even see the cut under the belly button. Once everything came back in, it went into the belly button. Looks nice.

I got super drunk about 3 weeks ago. I tried to get up off the couch and to go to my bed and I couldn't balance and ended up hitting my head on the corner of something (still don't recall what exactly I hit my head on) but i split my Glabella open and never went to the hospital. Its been 3 weeks and i still havent felt the same since. The symptoms seem to be getting worse, takes me a bit longer to make decisions, im dizzy, coordination is off if i turn my head normally my vision doesnt seem right i get super dizzy. I have too many medical bills already so i guess if its serious then ill die gladly knowing i wont have another hospital bill. They wouldnt do anything anyway even if my skull was fractured. Ive been to the er many times they usually just take a ct scan/xray and send you on your way saying to follow up with a specialist.
