Bucks New University Guide to Placements

With 50 per cent of a nursing course being spent on practice placement this film aims to dispel the myth that being out on placement is just like Holby City or Casualty. This film provides a realistic outlook as to what practice placement is like in 'real life' and looks at this in terms of the perspective from students' , the University and the hospitals trusts.
At Bucks we're renowned for the support we offer our students whilst they are on placement. Members of the teaching staff are assigned to each clinical area to support students when they go out on placement. Lecturers in partnership with mentors visit clinical areas once a week. Since you spend 50 per cent of your time in placement, this support will be integral to your success.
