This WILL cause issues. Just ban the card. But yeah, clearly all of us who would prefer a ban over a wordy, clunky, messy errata are Bucky lovers. 🙄

Glad to see the card go but this errata is dumb and pointless. They effectively banned it by making it unplayable so just ban it outright and save all the headaches that come with errata.

I mainly played Mufasa and have great matchups against every deck except Bucky. However, I don't like nerfing the card this much. If this is going to be the trend why not ban/nerf sth from Ruby/Amethyst which has been running havoc for 4 sets.

I think outright bannig the card in competitive/store tournaments is a much more memorable way to handle this than a physical errata. Bucky has made his mark and I would rather remember his reign without the absurd nerf and downfall.

We don't want to see bans, but an errata due to poor card design is even worse. Errata due to a typing error makes sense, but not this. This is a terrible decision. How can you trust your card purchases if they are going to errata like this.

As a new player watching the drama unfold, it's amazing how quickly the community has changed its mind on bucky. Almost half the FB posts pre-errata were complaining about bucky. Now every post is complaining about the nerf. I'm just glad they did something about it. I'm tired of seemingly every post and decklist mentioning the card.

Also erratas like this are the worse, you being happy about this change pretty much don't understand the impact this really has on the game. Glad I didn't invest into it tbh lol

My Red Fasa deck was running 3-4 cards with a cost under 4. No joke. Anmd t was solid. I'd change it to play the Flynn Rider that gives lore at the beginning of the turn though,now that i got 3 of this card in my collection.

My LGS tournament is July 27 so we will have to live with the current reality... And i know that even though I have the golden pack Shimering Skies promo card from the Ursula's Deep Trouble quest boxset I cannot use this legally in the tournament XD ... But I could play my Promo Bucky with 3 regular Bucky if i choose Green + Clor X. (Got 1 diablo, and got 3 Ursula Deceiver of All!) Prince John that drws when op discard can back up for Diablo anyways :D got 3-4 of him ready to go

Every day i get less confidence in the desgin team. This is horrendous. Like i get bucky needed the ax, really because they probably want more alt shift costs which would be too good down the line. But this errata sucks. And unless something in set five would make bucky busted, its really unwarranted. Ban diablo if anything, damn.

This is not good news for me, there are too many nerves. Just one of the three would have been enough to balance the cards. This means destroying a card that will no longer be played because these 1-1 stats make it unplayable without it being out of reach.

@@tratanlightbreaker6029 nah man, the physical card games more often than not get bans, or for card games like YGO, restrictions. Errata DOES happen in paper to be certain; Wizards did it several years back with the Companions. But that was also a mechanic-wide errata, and not an individual card. It's clunky, clumsy, confusing, confounding, and just straight up unnecessary. If you have to errata THREE different aspects of a card to make it playable by your standards, then just ban it. Had they ONLY added the Shift line of text to the card, then all of this MIGHT be understandable. This was just pointless and greatly undermines my faith in this game as being competitively viable moving forward.

Not whether is better to ban it, whether it's a good thing it exists, nor whether this particular case is good. Just that being digital is not needed at all. (Also WoTC is errating MtG cards much more than you think.)
