I picked up this handmade horsehide leather jacket at the Fairfax swap meet at least 15 years ago - it's a beautifully made piece

Incredible looking jacket, great story about the guy who made it, and a once in a lifetime bargain for a horsehide treasure. Enjoy the jacket for me too!

Nice Jacket. I remember that guy at the swap meet. He was very knowledgeable about jackets. I am wondering what kind of zippers he used for your jacket. Knowing him. He probably tried to get it as original as possible. #5 talons square pull and military zips at the sleeves and "map" pockets? I do have several original Bucos in my collection. I must tell you they are cool. I think the fons had a very simple made for tv jacket reproduction. The knits appeared to be period correct and the leather looked like a steer to me. I have one jacket that is similar but in horsehide made by Californian sportswear.

@@AstroVanTribe That is nice. Military type bell-shaped? for the sleeves?

"Not an easy guy to fit" god, the story of my life. Try being five two and finding leather jackets that fit. After many years ,a lot of trial and error I now have five that fit very well. Love them all. My new horsehide a2 is breaking in well...
