Glad to see another one in the wild. I run the same machine. Mine is an old bushing shaft. Takes a lot of grease. The clutch on yours is definitely slipping. There should be no hesitation in the spud gear when drilling/driving. Where I'm at its usually about 40-80ft clay then water bearing limestone. I work by myself so usually takes about a week to get one in start to finish. Wells usually around 80-120ft total. Thanks for posting, and keep stroking 😁

Yep that spudding clutch is definitely slipping and is in need of tightening or either it's just plain worn out and needs new clutch plates. It is seriously affecting the action on your tools

Tighten up the spudin clutch about 2 or 3 holes. Looks like is hesitant on the up stroke
