An excellent testament to a gentle soul! The model T served him well!

I fondly remember the story of gt grandparents. Grandpa bought a new car & were on their first courtship date in a 1923 Ford Model T! 😊

Just watched an old video of Bob running a sawmill. Very cool.
Enjoyed the video. I'm sure someone else pointed out that the description of the revers and brake pedal were switched. No biggie bit wanted to mention.

Thanks Dan, I am glad you enjoyed the vid. Yes it has been mentioned before but I don't think ever as politely as you have done, thank you. As this video isn't a driving instruction vid I haven't worried about it, I more used that piece to illustrate the differences a T has from a modern car, so you are right, no biggie. Thanks for watching, and the comment, you know how much they mean to a creator. Also thanks for subbing, all appreciated!

I'm glad to see a redo of this video on your new channel! So Bud says he rebuilt it in the 50s...is this the only time it was ever rebuilt?
@dryrockstudios32318 ай бұрын
He did not rebuild it, but rather built it from the best of the parts that he had collected, in 1950. At that time it was built as his hunting pick up, with 15 inch wheels etc. In the early 70's he decided he wanted to change it to represent a more authentic 1925 Ford so we changed it up with correct wheels, new, authentic upholstery and top, and painted it black.

I drove by Cherry Creek today.. Was looking up in the hillsides hoping to see the T out and about. Question.. Is the fuel tank still gravity fed from under the seat? If so how does it do on up hills? Does it Starve for gas? I bet the 60's and 70's were good times at Bouchie Lake. Cheers.

The fuel tank on the early Ts, until 1926 is under the seat. For the 1926 and 27 model years the fuel tank was moved to the inside of the cowl. The 25 and earlier T's did have issues with gas on hills, but several things have to come into play. The gas tank has to be low on fuel (a full tank often does make the difference), the hill has to be quite steep ( our modern roads won't provide a steep enough grade), and the hill has to be long enough to allow the engine to have burnt all the fuel in the carburetor (a steep pitch of short duration is easily climbed on the fuel that is already in the float bowl). I have ran out of fuel once, and it was a steep grade with the fuel tank quite low. I have ran that same hill many times after and with a full tank never had any issues. Thank you for watching, and leaving a comment.

@@dryrockstudios3231 I have a 23 and never experienced running out of gas on any hill so although it is possible I think it is mainly folklore. I have run out of gas for real though because it doesn't have a gas gauge and I just wasn't paying attention. We were out riding around with the kids and neighbors kids when it happened. I walked over to a farm and they gave us some gas to make it home much to their amusement I think. They had gas for their tractor.
