There's a rare place in the world where occasionally someone transcends the sport they love and brings joy and laughter effortlessly to the world by just being themselves. You might not even care about baseball but his voice is instantly recognized and has become the standard for what an announcer should be. R.I.P. Uke. An American original who will never be duplicated.

Don't be sad, Brewers fans and the people of Milwaukee -- be proud of what this fellow son of your city did for your favorite baseball franchise and wear a loving smile on your faces for having been alive while he was!

I always wondered, how in the heck did Uecker make it out of minor league baseball, so I looked at his career stats. If he ever leaked it out that he hit .309 for Louisville in AAA baseball back in 1961, it would have killed his career. Another of the greats associated with baseball that will be deeply missed.

here is a difference between these two. Uecker would make you laugh while Selig is a joke.

Least he kept them in Milwaukee and created the rivalry with the cubs and cardinals 🤷♂️🤷♂️
