What's a place you've been that has a fairytale quality? 🏰
@Millennial_Cringe6 жыл бұрын
Kamakura, Japan. Specifically throughout the hiking course had a very Studio Ghibli fairy tale vibe. The incense coming from the cemeteries mixed in with the earthy moss scent. It was pretty otherworldly.

Very nice quality of showing Budapest and the magic of being here (there). I would recommend to also watch the Gellért hill which has the statute of liberty on the top of it and has a brilliant view to the city and also one of the most famous hotels in the bottom of it which is a beautiful construction.. If you visit Budapest again it is a must to "climb" the hill because it has a very brilliant story and you can get more better insights and view of Budapest!

Definitely a good idea, I am Hungarian but I live in the UK in London. Central and eastern Europe is more like what the entire Europe was about 80-100 years ago. So if you want to see some really nice European architecture and history without the ever growing sky scrapers that you can see in London, go and visit Vienna, Prague and Budapest. My country is beautiful and much cheaper than western Europe. Plus Eastern Europe is much safer, terrorism is non existent.

I'll definitely use this video as a kind of taster for those of my friends in the UK and overseas that are planning to visit my home town. I am a proud Hungarian especially seing this video. Budapest is the most beautiful city I have ever seen, and I have seen the World. You have missed out one very important place to visit. The House of Terror may be not the best to show in this matter, but the Shoes of the Danube. Walking by this monument will not only give you sickness, but anger and cries of reminding you about the cruelty of the human race, not forgetting our history. Well done with the video, and thank you. Go back to Budapest, much more to see.

My wife and I got married at the church in Vajdahunyad var and had the reception next door. By the way, the little red pots your gulyas was served in can be found in the basement of the market hall. I left Hungary after the revolution in 56. Escaped to Jugoslavia, I was about 13 years old and I am amaized how beautiful it is still and the changes that are different with fast food and people speaking English. I was born in Kalocsa which is also a great small city, Cardinal Mincenti’s home and gardens. There are so many beautiful places in Hungary, like Eger which was under Turkis influence, the last time I was there they stil had the Minarets and also have a cave swimming pool and inside the mountain they had classical gay Ipsy music that was just amazing. The acoustics inside that mountain was the best. You might explore some more of the small cities and Lake Balaton are. My son was born in Chicago ant hope to visit him in Omaha for the holidays and I can’t wait to show him your videos. Good luck and make more fantastic videos from Hungary.

Definitely agree with you! I visited during summer though. I think it looks different depending on the season. Howevet, I don't agree with it being walkable though. I love walking every where I travel but Budapest kinda killed my feet. But still, I love it!

Haha sorry to hear it made your feet hurt! I’d love to return in summer and experience the city then too.

Wow, this is one of the best videos of Budapest I've ever seen! You are on my short list of favorite KZbinrs. Coming in from the airport into the city I knew I had arrived when I saw Hero Square at night.

Eileen I could say that watching your videos is like a fairy tale :) They are absolutely magical and this is no exception. From beginning to end I am so absorbed, so captivated, that the surroundings in my room cease to exist. I almost felt the emotions too as you discussed the terror museum. I feel the delight as you brought us the splendor of the Parliament building, bridges, and other wonderful sights. Your narration is second to none. To give a thumbs up does not seem enough.

The best video I have seen about Budapest - you captured the history, tragedies and united efforts alike so well. If ever you come this way again, venture outside Budapest into the little gem towns and countryside, too. You will always be welcome here!
