That spider is called "Heteropoda venatoria" and has only 7 legs not 8 as most spiders have, and it cannot make web-nets. It does looks very very terrifying. Actually, it is environmentally friendly to human living area, it helps people hunt down bad insects like cockroaches flies mosquitos . . .

@@EileenAldis Hey! I am not originally from Budapest, as i grew up in a village about 100km away from it, but since migrated to another country. The last time I was in Budapest it was 6 years ago, just when they started working on being a bit more friendlier towards tourists from other countries. I heard that since then it has improved a lot and the prices have gone up to reflect it as well (i.e a langos that was 1500 HUF back then in some places sells for 8000 HUF)...I have been to a few of those places you've visited but during the summer, it looks completely different from what I remember. I saw your video about the apartment you've got with the high ceiling, I stayed in a similar 1870's block myself - these were the "Revival of the Romanesque area" buildings with an internal communal garden. These buildings were the last to stay during the siege of budapest in 1956 when the russians took over budapest, the holes you have seen on the wall opposite your flat were most likely bullet holes from the russian soldiers shooting at hungarians defending Budapest. I loved Fisherman's bastion when I went it was 42 degrees outside and everybody was melting climbing up the stairs. Only to be greeted with free icecones! Yay!

J.A. Moisan is NOTHING like it was for most of my 55 years on this earth. Since it was last sold, it shrunk to 1/3 of its original size and lost most of the imported goodies that made it so special to shop in. Also, I've been living here on and off since I was 15 (the rest of my time was spent in 6 other provinces), and while most people are ignorant of that fact (even most Quebec City francophones), there IS a pretty big and thriving English-speaking community here. With its own library, schools (up to College/CEGEP), newspaper, and until a few years ago, local TV station.
